just run out and grab a new one. sounds like its time for a upgrade anyway. My motto is on anything environmental related out of tune, is priority one, fix it immediately.

it would be ashame to put in 100 plus days and not be able to finish to maturity. u owe it to Tabitha, don't u love her anymore.

That really sucks you have to cut early brother, looks like it would of been some soaring sativa deliciousness

for sure, but I think they will be better a bit premature than cooked.

I already have a window unit on the way.

Infi, have you tried cleaning the condenser coils? Could be the culprit.

where is the condensor at on a portable unit, do I have to take it apart?

I understand cutting the pollen producer early. Just u put so much time into this beautiful test I hated to see it cut early. kudos to u for getting on the ball and getting the ac. Keep it coming man!

I saw u throw some pics of Tabitha in a bb thread I think? So does she have bb genetics in her then? Or does she just have the bb terpene in her. sorry if u mentioned it already, its been a while since I read thru the thread.

my biggest thing with the indoor heat is the loss of terpenes, my favorite aromas seem to be the most volatile which evaporate and are lost very easily in the growing and the drying phases.

hopefully with the new AC I will be able to keep the temps in the low 70's

and for some more genetics info, yeah she is 1/4 BB and 3/4 tropical landrace.... Tropical NLD x (Tropical NLD x DJ's Blueberry) :tiphat:

Good deal, we want these to be able to finish properly :woohoo:

I switched the lights on time to the evening, to help with the temps in the meantime until the new AC gets here.

later guys,

hey brother

If its a stand alone portable you will just need to remove enough of the case to get to the interior coils. Pull the exhaust port from the back, remove the top and just set it to the side. Remove the side cover where the evaporator filter is. You wont need to disconnect anything just remove the panels to expose the coils. You will see all the dust caked up on the coils and inside the unit. Take a soft brush something like a toilet brush or what have you and gently remove the dust on and in the coils and fins. Try not to bend any of the fins over and limit you air flow. Take a vacuum cleaner and suck out all the dust from inside and around your coils. Also why you have the cover off pour a cap of bleach into the evaporator pan that catches the water this will clear out and funk growing in you drain. Reassemble that should do the trick. That's the most likely problem.

If its a window unit just pull the unit out of its case and that will expose all of the coils. Do the same thing brush and vacuum and your done.

if you have a bunch of bent coil fins swinging into an AC parts house and pick up a fin comb. Use it to comb out the bent fins no problems.

If you need any help just drop me a line.

Peace
GT

Tabitha v1.1 #11 Harvest
@105 Days Flowering

Due to the aforementioned heat and (the subsequent?) nanner issues I harvested #11, it was in its ealy window already and I really noticed a drop in the pungency from the couple of days with the high heat and not being sure what was going to happen with the AC and not wanting to risk loosing more flavor and or pollinating everything else still prime for it I picked it a few weeks earlier than I would have liked.

Something worth mentioning, again, this was a discovery project... I was just looking to find wether or not this line is worth venturing further down and maybe preserve the germplasm of any special genotype I might find... I'm not concerned with yield, having the plants "dialed in"or finding any holy grail type plant... only with discovering the potential.

Admittedly, I have not done the best job growing these, I am still sort of cutting my teeth with these long flowering varieties. The plants were given to much organic N based top dressing early in the floering period as I was trying to anticipate a long flowering period and counter the small containers and in doing so I over did it just a bit. Also they stayed in their 1.4 quart containers way to long (7 or so weeks of flowering) and when they were transplanted into 2 gallon containers some of them reacted somewhat poorly.

They didnt get much in the way of fertilization, just some top dressing with jam bat guano and some black strap molasses with the occasional hygrozyme, so I noticed some minor deficiencies mostly C with a little bit of Mg and inadequate amounts of K and S... so these plants have been far from pampered, a very minimalist type of a grow.

I really feel like these plants have only accomplished roughly 70% or so of their potential based on; their early performance, what I witnessed stunt/halt/change their development via my mistakes and the traits I still am able to observe through their expressions despite the challenges and set backs they have faced. With all of that said; I am happy with the diversity and type of the expressions, a couple of the expressions exhibit really nice trait combinations, and overall the line shows realy nice potential imho.

Tabitha v1.1 #11

I am revegging this plant now, and I will be running a few of the tabithas again and will try to get this one close to 100%, I think this cut has lots of potential even if it will always pop late maturity nanners... in a room full of just this cut I dont think it would cause any problems as they would all be very close to maturity... though I really need to see it grown better to know for sure wether or not its worth allocating that much resources towards.

its mostly genetic, but partly due to the slightly too heavy dose of N about 2-3 weeks into 12/12 and also because I upotted after week seven of flowering which caused the buds to stretch out some...

these genetics come from the tropics where in order to not get moldy they need to have an open flower structure, open flowers are also ideal for hash production... it is only the indoor growing black market that has popularized dense buds as being desirable, when actually being dense only benefits a plants cold tolerance while being to dense actually increases mold & mildew susceptibility while also being detrimental to resin production.
