its mostly genetic, but partly due to the slightly too heavy dose of N about 2-3 weeks into 12/12 and also because I upotted after week seven of flowering which caused the buds to stretch out some...

these genetics come from the tropics where in order to not get moldy they need to have an open flower structure, open flowers are also ideal for hash production... it is only the indoor growing black market that has popularized dense buds as being desirable, when actually being dense only benefits a plants cold tolerance while being to dense actually increases mold & mildew susceptibility while also being detrimental to resin production.

lol,i have tried to tell people that so many times....each calyx has a 360 degree coating of resin on those tropical sativas,and the buds are basically all calyx and almost no stem but only a small percentage of pot smokers can wrap their heads around either the buds or the high....as i say,pot smokers dont know dick about good weed,only growers know what good weed really is....

yeah even most growers and breeders will brag about bud density as if that was a job well done though too... its funny, but popular, folklore

I know, kush cookie and gliue crosses would be a lot more popular with most growers and smokers at the moment... I think that will slowly change though as more people access more varieties to then realize they are mostly very similar... people will want new flavors and experiences, maybe? I notice an uptick in the the old school sativa trend though for sure.

That's perfect unc, couldn't of said it any better. I know it's completely subjective to ones taste, and I do like heavier stuff for the evening night time, but if I don't have a nice sativa or sativa leaner around I won't even smoke until the evening. I'd rather not smoke than be burnt out trying to accomplish things that I 100% don't want to do like that. So I try and always have some nice sattys around

She looks great infi, especially for coming down early and with everything you had goin on this run. She will probably be a nice soaring type gal too, since she was in the early window. Hopefully not too racy though. Excited to see what you think of her after a little cure n smoke.

yeah I would have liked to wait until I started seeing more amber and maintained the cool temps to preserve the terps so I am sort of suspending judgement on this cut either way, she'll get smoked and grown again... one thing I can say already is the high is really clear uplifting and heady.

a minor bummer, the #11 died while trying to re-veg... not to big a deal since I have lots more v1.1's and about 50+ #11 f2's still... but sucks I will have to do another round to try and find another expression like that one or better.

that's my fear with reveging instead of having back up clones. but it gets ridiculous with numbers if u start with a lot of seeds in the first place.

I just lost my choc thai pheno of coca kush, but got seeds from 2 different males crossed to her.

same here f2's from two different male expressions... finding any keeper really wasnt the goal so its not a super big loss I just would have liked to play around with that cutting some.

from now on I am not flowering seed plants and will only be flowering cuttings so keeping a back up will be easier and testing will also be more space efficient, damn topped seed plants just take up to much space.
