Mile Hi Dave has it right, there will either be caregivers or dispensaries, thats it. Dispensaries must own any grow they are related to.

If this bill is really for who we all think (and know) it's for... then there's nothing we can do to stop it. What the fuck does everyone think this is? The fucking circus? No! It's a corrupt government that's been corrupt and will stay corrupt in the interest of financial gain.

I completely acknowledge how many hoops we'll be jumping through, but that's life man. Everyone knows the massive influx of out-of-state bastards and the bottom-less greed of the long-time residents has blown this industry to pieces, and the damage can't be avoided. You don't get to have this much attention, and then have things go back to the way they were before.

Not to mention, why do you care about mega dispensaries? Of course it's fucked, but so is wal-mart. And you can't stop either, for the same reason. Too much $cash$ flow. If you wanted to stop this, you'd literally have to start killing people. The only thing that trumps cash, at least in politics, is death. I know that sounds terrible, but I'm just trying to highlight how helpless your attempts at changing this are.

Some of these dispensaries are "contracting" with growers...some lawyers say it will work...others say no...

See, basically the "maga" dispensary, the one that can afford to go out and spend $10k/yr on an xtra license and then "contract" the space....kind of a gray area...like reassigning/selling patients.

Another way to fuck the loical mom & pop, as well as the local grower...and there are lotsa growers selling out...daily. I can see if you team up with a good friend...to help each other out, but if you are just selling yourself out to the highest bidder, you're no better than they are...just saying...:wave:

...on the side of small "Colorado" businesses and growers....

I think the word debate impies there's some sort of discussion, most of it has been Romer telling everyone to vote "Aye!" I can't understand why every other Senator does what Romer tells them to do..... it's almost like the think if he gets things his way, he run for some other office besides Senator, and they'll be done with him.... oh wait, that's exactly what he's doing!

Hmmm, have you guys actually read the bill? There's a lot of sketchy stuff in there that I really don't like, but I think they also included some rather useful stuff also. I don't think the bill is 100% designed to screw us over.

I have read every page of the bill in all forms. I was busted in college with an ounce. I have a felony. It's 23 years old! This is the biggest horseshit legislation in history!

And, FYI, the DEA doesn't schedule drugs, CONGRESS does. So why is it helpful that they will ask the DEA to do something the DEA doesn't have the power to do?

Do we have any legitimate representation down there today or is it just a bunch of know-nothing lawmakers trying to figure out the best way to line their own pockets?

It's closed to the public.

I have to admitt, my hate for this bill is somewhat selfish........... but at 72 pages, everyone's bound to hate this thing!

Imagine if you are an owner of one of those smaller dispensaries, the ones on the old used car lots down on Broadway, where are they going to grow 70% of their meds? Let's say you have an old felony, or you moved here from Wyoming, or you don't have to 35K application fee... or you are a Landlord who leases to a Dispensary that's getting closed..... or a contractor that's done a build-out for a dispensary that hasn't been paid yet, by a dispensary that's never even going to open..........

This bill sucks.

No I totally agree. I'm in the middle of the paperwork right now for opening a dispensary of my own so I can sell some of these strains I breed proprietarily, and with every new update on this bill I'm starting to get more and more concerned that this dream will never happen. I suppose I can still take my stuff to existing dispensaries but with the way this bill is regulating the industry I won't be able top breed top shelf strains, It will all go to canna-mart and be labeled as generic and sold in discount by the pound :(

Ok...it was passed...but this is only the 2nd reading....keep calling your reps!!!! They have til next tuesday to finish it...
