Colorado Growers Thread

I'm glad you guys like the flags. I made them for all of us CO growers. The Emerald Rectangle is a good name. What is the difference between a co-op and a collective? Are they the same thing? I like the co-op idea too. If someone steals the name before we can do it we can just call ours the emerald rectaltangle lol.

If you want...PM me and I will register the biz name for you, as well as the domain name...

i wondered why this hasnt happened yet (co-ops idea),
didnt realize it was prohibited :|

how does the patient count/plant count thing work in a co-op model? pooled?

id be down, but the skills arent there yet...

They will not allow more than 1 grower under the same roof, the way this bill is written...:moon:

I think everyone would have to keep their own patients, then we'd assign new patients to whichever caregiver can accommodate them. I would guess lots of people would jump on the opportunity to sign up as patients if they were offered a free half eighth on the first and 15th of the month. From ads I've seen it doesn't look like you get shit(besides 10% off ridiculous prices) for naming most dispensaries as your caregiver.

As in, they wont allow multiple growers to produce in the same facility?

Or do you mean only one grower can provide to each dispensary?

I'm just so tired of complaining about how whack this scene is. Its time I did something about it.:smokey:

Hello everybody! I'm a lifelong CO resident and I just joined icmag today. There is a LOT of info here! I just read about the first 30 pages of this thread and I have to say you guys/gals seem like my type of crowd :tiphat:

I'm going to be putting together my first grow room over the course of the next month so I'll keep everybody updated. I'm really excited :jump:

Welcome friend, looking forward to the show..

The dispensaries will have to provide 70% of their own smoke, and buy the other 30% from other dispensaries.

Whats that going to put about 3 of 4 out of business? And how on earth are they going to enforce that when they dont seem to be noticing all the illegal Cali imported shit? Not to mention the Mexican shwag that is being sold at all these places!

Under the same facility/company was my understanding.

The dispensaries will have to provide 70% of their own smoke, and buy the other 30% from other dispensaries.

Beware the Cali model...

Soon you will have to be a member to 'buy' from a dispensary or club????

Fuck That! Free Market!

That's the way it's currently written...it may change but, it seems, they really want to force this "verticle integration" thing.

Fot the person I forgot to quote...you can go here http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=165766 and read about the Bill and how it affects us

If it has passed, then oh well, I guess we go to the polls!!!!

Some of you will remember I tried to do this exact thing, I was even going to tag the strain with the ic handle of the people who grew it (if they so chose).

Then when that didn't pan out I've been in the process of trying to get a co-op opened where Top quality growers paid a monthly membership fee to keep the store running but got 100% profit for their herb. It would have been great $10-12 grams would be actually doable and since the grower is getting all the profit it still fills their pockets deep. Oh well too bad the laws fucked it up for me

Isn't there a lobbyist that the dispensary owners pooled together to buy? He wont be doing anything until next year when the new elected ass hats come into office. But I think what ever dispensary owners want is what will start to be pushed. What about a cannabis bazaar/flea market? If someone rented or purchased a building and put in "booths" that were sub leased to growers to sell their goods from? I know its getting complicated but it could work.

Did you speak with a laywer? I cant believe something like that would be illegal, but almost all dispensaries are currently buying random herb from whoever walks in.

Edit: Ah, you are assuming this new legislation will pass as it is currently written. Understood.

YEah it's pretty retarded that they don't want co-op grows and the state wants to give you projected yields for plants to judge how much herb your spot would be allowed to provide..This bill is beyond fucked, how many constitutional rights are they going to try and violate?? Hopefully this bullshit falls wayside and they miss the deadline to vote on it, and we get some more time to sort this mess out..makes me wanna puke..

Trust me not all the people who run dispensaries are well off, or even want any of this shit to go through..Pretty much means the end of small quality medicinal grows, and having the end result available to a larger % of mmj patients. It also will cut down on a lot of variety of meds I would imagine..I'm not saying it's not possible to grow headies in a warehouse, it's just not real common..
