Here is a juicy tidbit, it's a revised draft of rules the state is most likely about to pass. They outline how and what doctors are supposed to do in regards to each patient they recommend medcial marijuana to.... lots of interesting bits in there, some of which i think are good and sound regulations. Some of these doctors out there are shady snakes, that end of the "industry" was due for something like this in my opinion.
however;
there is one part that REALLY bugs me.... about how the doctor must educate patient on potential risks that include: "addiction, physical dependence".
that's a load of shit, imo.
I urge CO medical peeps to read this document and (upon is passing) discuss it's implications with your doctor; the patient educates the doctor sometimes, these changes in rules and legislation need to be discussed so that everyone is and knows they are doing things "by the book".

anyhoo, here is the link:

I just found some F2's of the roadkill unicorn... pretty stoked on em, but the elmers glue x fire cookies and catpiss backcross project is taking up my space

I'm far rom CO. But have a whole pack of RKU that I'm dying to pop. Gotta kill off some strains to make that happen, and I hate killing plants, lol.

I figured that would be an old trick by now....
Well people were taking prepayment for clones 20 years ago (remember those sites?) but people still look mystified by the word "deposit" around here, my goodness that's its own thread too, the clashes between the old grower culture and the new industry scene, and the repeating phenomena we're seeing crop up.

Or mix them in with some hemp seed and put fancy labels on them, the way some of these new seedbanks are doing

Orphans are always a dilemma

You mean breeding with hemp, or do you mean (lets say a pack of 10 seed) they split the pack with half hemp seeds (5) and half of what the label states (5) the seeds are?

He's casting aspersions on some seed maker or another.

I figure it would be more trouble than it's worth, particularly if they want to stay in the business. Grown for seed, one plant can produce thousands.

Everyone is in a mad rush for Hemp like qualities and super low thc. People are being tricked to breed Hemp back into recreational cannabis.

Or so it seems. But i have noticed the latest batch of seeds from some of these vendors are not very vigorous. This Nordle i have popped is taking forever and i refuse to cull it.
seeds that are 15 years old are out performing it. sure it could have been a bad batch.. but other companies seem to be putting out shit at the same rate.. Money Money Money.. that is all that matters right? if the old seeds didnt out preform them i would say it was me..

That's kind of like the seed companies bringing the auto flowering plant to the seed game table.

Obviously i'm accusing every breeder but BOG of using birdseed to fill out their bulk orders, has nothing to do with this idea at all...

Jhhn when did you jump on the hate train? I honestly don't understand the attitudes from people who have never met me. Everyone who meets me seems happy they did. Maybe i'm not the one with the problem?

To clarify since people like to draw their own conclusions: I believe high yielding, low potency, hemp-cultivar dominant genetics are being marketed as the high quality drug-cultivar genetics we're used to as growers.

Didn't you just test some Apollo crosses?

Yeah and everything is down now. I kept some clones (the more A11 dominant ones) and let the mostly Lemon Diesel ones go because they all seemed to be unstable and exhibit herm tendencies. While trimming my outdoor plants I found 3 seeds in my GG4 that I'm sure came from the tallest LD leaning pheno. I saved those and will definitely run them to see what's up. When I get around to it I mean to post the final write up on that cross. I'm hoping that I got my foot in the door and will be able to get pick of the litter on the next round of testers.

Roadkill unicorn....Lmao Never heard of it.

RKU = purple unicorn(chem d x blackberry widow) x snow lotus (afgooey x blockhead) supposedly there are some real roadkill skunk phenos to be found in them.

If you're talking about the current CBD fad, I agree... hemp is being bred into dank genes for the sake of chasing CBD's.

When it isn't needed at all, there are still landrace drug cultivar types that produce significant amounts of cbd, afghanicas being the obvious example, I just don't get it.

Because it is easier (less time consuming) for them to use hemp then it is to work a pure cannabis drug type family line.

The Cannabis Ruderalis plant that originated from some where in Russia are considered to be a ditch weed, yet they have been breed in with our drug type cannabis which is like what you are talking about with hemp type cannabis being breed with drug type cannabis.

In a country where you have drug type and hemp type cannabis cultivation being grown side by side(maybe not side by side but in pollination range) cross pollination is likey

I've wondered if there isn't the possibility of using left over branches from a harvest of buds and using the branches like you would hemp.
