Colombian Landrace Sativa 2012

E

El Tiberon

The Supreme Court ruled last July that a person can possess under 22 grams and can not be arrested depending on their state of intoxication. Before this ruling was handed down, possession of under 1 kilo REQUIRED a sentence of no less that 64 months.

This ruling does not permit cultivation of cannabis or processing of cannabis of any kind.

A year ago in May the House of Representatives passed the first draft of a bill that would decriminalize growing of cannabis and coca for personal consumption but the second vote was turned down.

This is the reality of Colombian cannabis law on planet earth.

If you say so, anyway here's a little "outdoor" Colombian sativa that I grew.

Fun facts

Fun facts

This has nothing to do with "cultivation" but this is the actual law on personal dose. As I'm sure you can imagine the laws on the books are very bendable in Colombia and some are rarely enforced. Growing a few plants in your back yard isn't even noticed from my personal experience.

Hi Rinse, I've never been able to grow any other Sativa strains here but I did grow some very nice NL X Haze (nirvana) that was very Sativa leaning.

I really do believe the high altitude equatorial sun increases not only the resin but tweaks the effect in a most beautiful way. Its a wonderful thing really and I wish that all who enjoy the plant could experience.
I do have some seedlings growing now from seed I collected from samples obtained earlier this year. With luck I'll have some bud in half a year or so.

Peace from Colombia!

So everyone is up to speed. I’m not Colombian, I’m a gringo (American) married to a Colombian woman and I live in Colombia (Bogota) with my wife, our kids and her family. My Colombian family is what you could say is upper middle class and they have nothing to do with drugs or cannabis in anyway if fact they don’t even drink or use tobacco. My wife is a super sexy workaholic that lives to work and look good, she cares nothing about cannabis. In the beginning of our relationship my wife showed some interest in my love for cannabis, she would help me obtain cannabis samples from around the country and even helped me grow the plants. Then we moved to the USA for a few years and it was there that her attitude towards cannabis did a 180. When we returned to Colombia almost two years ago she agreed to overlook my smoking but really didn’t want me to grow, saying there’s plenty to buy here. After a few months of being here I convinced her I really should grow and she agreed, however the house we live in has nowhere to grow (outside) so I would have to wait till we moved before I could start. We were supposed to move last December but due to money problems my wife signed a lease till September. So now I’m just waiting another month to move to our new house and start growing out the sativa seeds I have been collecting the last couple months. So in the mean time I’m smoking a wide variety of traditionally grown and cured domestically grown sativa and the more common hybrid cripy. I have a few seedlings growing in a window sill getting ready for the move when I can put them under full sunlight and grow them out. I like all good cannabis and plan/hope to grow out many strains and varieties in this exotic location. I love Indica and hybrids but my focus is on high altitude equatorial sativa and not limited to Colombian strains. I respect all growers, indoors and out however I have no particular interest in commercial grows. I am very sensitive to cannabis and I can tell the difference between cannabis grown at a low altitude and the high altitude bud, just by the effect it gives me. It’s not a big difference but I can detect it. Also I prefer very simple growing techniques that take advantage of the almost perfect natural growing conditions in this region. My ultimate goal I have is to grow the best high altitude tropical sativa by selecting the finest local sativa and possibly breeding in pure sativa from around the world. Maybe this is a dream but I’m enjoying the dream. Peace to all and thanks so much.

It is wonderful that you have this opportunity to search out the different Columbian and get ready to grow them. I have some cripy seeds but haven't grown them. Do you run into weed called Cholas. I was told it was Columbian Brazilian and African. Keep up your hunting. Hope you find a nice place for your growing projects. Peace

In summertime I take plants out to enjoy sun and natural enviroment and they do respond well.Happy, healthy plants.
Oh, and genetics are from Gage Green and they are bastards, you can see different structure very clearly.

250k COP per OZ if I chose to do it. I could get triple that in the US.

Thank you bigherb, I try to maintain a positive vibe in this thread and everywhere else for that matter. I'm not here to brag or get into pissing contests with anyone. I just want to show our community (I only post on IC mag) what is going on in my part of Colombia. I'm not a professional grower and I certainly don't know everything but what I do know I like to share with others to help them. I will have new pics of new grows very soon and I share this information freely.

Not from me or anyone I know here, nothing sells for 250 an oz bud wise. I get/have cripy as good or better than yours for under 200 an oz and I pay extra to have it delivered to my door step. Nice pics you but looks like any other hybrid. Here is an old pic (never posted before) of a cross I made with a beautiful authentic Santa Marta Gold (f) with a thick stinky Afghan (m). The result was stellar to say the lest. The best part is its free.

I have to make a correction on the price of top shelf cripy here in Bogota (the most expensive city in Colombia). The cripy sells for 5,000 COP a gram (minimum 10 grams) so an oz would be less than 140,000 COP.

Peace from Colombia!
