Colombian Landrace Sativa 2012

Have some Colombian Black Bastards coming and they are very strong growers.Can't wait to see what they deliver
Beautiful plants Red, I envy your growing season.
I would love to fill a field with Colombian plants and watch them go through a year of growth.
Then smoke and compare plants and watch the clouds and stars through all the days it takes to finish them all from the side of the mountain I grew them on.
I am in the tenth week of flowering some OaxacanXPunto Rojo and smoked a few larfy lower buds that never saw light and were dried in two days in the sun, stuff I would normally throw into the compost. They were from what I think is a more Punto Rojo expression. It blew me away how powerful the smoke was, still has plenty of time yet to mature, maybe 2-4 weeks at least, maybe more. It is also only getting ten hours of 400w light in less then optimum conditions. The properly cured finished buds will be a trip back to the mid 70's when Colombian buds were the best high around for me.
Kaiki has really selected well the Punto Rojo genetics he has worked with. Those Punto Rojo seeds are treasures.
Scai, what are the Black Bastards? Colombian Black? Where did the seed come from? What latitude and climate are you growing them in? I can't wait to see what they deliver myself. Beautiful plants, good luck!

Not much going on here, I haven't seen the guys in the park with the killer red bud since that one day. My guy said he was going to have some really good bud this weekend. I wish my Spanish was better so we understood each other 100% because I'm almost sure the really good stuff will be cripy. In the mean time I've been enjoying the regs I bought and saved from earlier this year. I really appreciate everyone's interest in this thread and in Colombian cannabis. I have every intention of finding and growing out the best Colombian genetics here in Colombia. The wait is killing me but I know when its right its really going to be right. Anyway here's more pure sativa.

I been smoking lowers of my OaxacanXPunto Rojo and loving the high. The longer they flower the better they are and they still have a way to go.
I don't think any one has posted it yet but I found an online copy of "Smoke Screen" the story of all the Colombian herb that was brought into the US during the 70's a very good story that is true. I highly recommend it.

Colombian cannabis is not rare at all, in fact its exported all over the world even now. Most export is of good to average quality however the really top self sinsemilla flowers never leaves the region.
This is some Santa Marta gold (grown out in Bogota) sinsemilla of a quality never seen outside the country. The seeds came from the finest grade golden sativa grown in the high altitude coastal mountains of Santa Marta.
The plant was grown in rich volcanic local soil in full sun with only natural feedings. I cut her after many partial harvests at 9 months and these buds have a 6 month cure.
This is one of the finest Colombian sativa.

Gotta go with the flow Red, good will happen if you are patient. Before you know it you will be growing Colombian in the tropical sun again.

Is #2 the one that is especially spicy? Have you tried the # 6 one yet?
What would be cool is to consolidate a smoke report comparing and contrasting each individual one with a picture of each one nearly ripe. If they get released to the public, it would be nice to see the range of what to expect, and possibly what phenotype to look for in the hopes of getting the effects that are most suitable to individual preferences.
I don't ask for much, do I?

Must say I found Oax/PR still bit irregular as I told you but I know there must be something interesting in there Yet to learn much more about the PR side and how performs better you know but I loved its smoke anyway, subtly elegant, tasty and trippy/funny but not desvasting. First time I sampled the PR mom from Sta Marta here I got in my car and couldnt recognize my dayly road and got almost lost despite I werent feeling so high at first, effect is so clear sometimes, high coming in waves

Last Saturday I went to see my Colombian friend that said he had something really special from Cali (grown outside of Cali). I got like 20 grams for 100,000COP and at first I thought it was the same as my last sample. Chunky golden blond seedless flowers. It looked and smelled just like the last stuff that was good but nothing special. But my buddy said to trust him and I took it home to try. I had company so I couldn't hit it right away but later that night I had a little time alone and fired up a small bud in the bong. One hit and I knew it was different, the smoke was burning and I couldn't hold it. The next hit was smaller but still really made me cough. I felt it right away, no foreplay with this girl, she just starts banging your brains out. Two bong hits and I was set, the first 20 minutes was very racy and motivational making me interested in working around the house. But then I did get a little paranoid being alone in the house. I soon calmed down and started playing a video game and soon was so relaxed I fell asleep after eating my weight in empanadas. I would say this is double the strength of the last batch however I get a very quick tolerance to this and if I smoke in the morning by the night I get no buzz at all. The regs always get me high even when the cripy doesn't. Will post pics ASAP.

Great looking Columbians folks... thanks for sharing !!!!
I think the smell on this one is divine, hard to describe individually, many smells in one that to me I associate with Kiwi shoe polish in the little shallow cans. It is a smell I remember from polishing my fathers boots when I was little. But it is a combination of many smells and flavors and since I packed the plant into a tin and will cure it for a while I know it will change and mature as will the smoke and the high.
The #6 I try the lower branches and it is also a good one. The #3 is also going to be strong. It seems with this grow that the longer flowering phenos are the best.
The first two(#'s1&2) are ok, one was sensitive to fertilizer even though others were not and I add only very small amounts of amendments. The #1 was very different from the rest. It was the one with fuller buds with lots of flowers in balls. The rest had very big well developed calyx's with gobs of resin. I think maybe I picked the #2 a little early because all the trichomes are clear and no amber. It stopped flowering though except a couple of pistils popping out on the tips here or there. Lots of foxtails on all but different on the #1, smaller caylx less resin.
As you can probably tell by my unorganized post that I just finished smoking a pinner of the #2 and like Kaiki says it is not devastating or speedy, but it's a very smooth elegant floating, clear, happy, high. I feel very much the effects of the Oaxacan but also the influence of the Colombian. I know it is strong by the fact that I don't smoke as much. I usually smoke two or sometimes three OG, Headband or whatever in the morning before lunch, with this stuff one joint and usually a pinner. I want to smoke more because it tastes so good but if I go about my work I forget and just keep working through the morning and realize I have only smoked that original joint. The high lasts longer then all the crosses going around in Humboldt that I have been smoking. It's a very refreshing change. The other ting I notice is when I do smoke an OG joint at night that I enjoy the flavor and high of that herb more then if I was puffing on it all day.
I am feeling the waves of happiness and good vibes and I love it.
Gracias Kaiki for the opportunity to grow this. Yes it is variable and you have to look a little to find what you want but it's a great search with only subtle variations, so far no hay and from the smells of the last two in the oven they are going to be better then the one I just tried
