Brick VS Pressed

Brick VS Pressed

hello red :)

whatever makes its way out of Colombia into the neighboring countries will always come compressed like the pic I posted a couple of posts back. regardless of quality.

even the cripi comes compressed like that.

you only find it like you do over there, locally.

much peace!

Hi bombadil.360, I have seen brick like yours in the US, Super compressed, once I bought a qp that looked like a quarter o. I have to say the regs here are not bricked but seem to be pressed somewhat (I always thought the bud was dried in piles and this is why its in the form of a clump). The cripy I get here is cared for much better and is even trimmed a bit, but I've never had it compressed at all. I was watching the local news the other day and the police had popped some folks with a bale (big square block) of bright green crippy, that was said to be for export. Really now I have all I need to grow and I just want to start up again. I hate "buying" anywhere, especially here where I can (or feel safe) grow my own primo Colombian. The wife is really trying to get me not to but as soon as I find a sunny spot I will and she knows it. Until then I will just keep buying...

Update

Update

One thing I would like to mention is I have kids here (8 & 6 year olds) and since they have been born I have never hide my cannabis use from them. As a result they think nothing of daddy’s “plant medicine”, knowing that it makes daddy feel better. I encourage them to enjoy all plants and that growing them is fun and useful. Of course they don’t use cannabis as they know it’s not for kids. Well the other day I took them to a park by our house as I do almost every day, this day there were a few people in the park and my son saw some young people (20s) smoking. He said “daddy they are using plant medicine”. I told him yes many people use plant medicine and it was no big deal. He also pointed out the very beautiful young women in the group and started begging me to go over and say hi to them. With him dragging me by the hand I went and said hello to the group of Colombians. And right away my son says “my daddy has better medicine then you”. I was very embarrassed as I explained to them what he meant by medicine. They laughed and fired up a joint they had and passed it to me; I took a big hit and passed it as my lungs exploded. I coughed up a lung before I realized it was some of the best Punto Rojo I’d ever had. I could tell what it was just from the smell and taste. I asked the guy that lite the joint what it was and he confirmed what I knew. Then we got high and talked about the USA and life in general. I got fried, my eyes redder than ever and I couldn’t stop laughing with them. They had over a lb of the bud and said they would turn me on to a handful of it to take home with me. I kept talking to them when my wife showed up and asked me what I was doing. What a buzz kill, so with the wife I took the kids home and chowed down on everything in the house. Then I realized I had forgotten to get the bud from them before the wife ended the party. I rushed back to the park only to find two of the girls still there. They were happy to see me and I asked about the bud but the guy that had it had already left. They had a little but they were going out to drink some beer and wanted it for later. The girls wanted me to go with them and later we could hook up with the guy but of course I couldn’t go. I looked for them today but they weren’t there but I’m hoping to see them again because this is the connection I want. Their Rojo was so much better than the regs I have been getting. I hope to see them again and when I get some I will post pics of this truly rare connoisseur Colombian.

Latin women can be pretty damn jealous - straight up...

Yes they are, mine really is jealous among other things. But really she has a reason to be since the women here can be scandalous and here in Bogota its like 7 women to every man. However I have my hands full with one and have no desire to get involved with another woman no matter how tempting.

The real bad news is I didn't get or give any contact information with my new friends, in fact I forgot their names too. I can only hope to run into them again.

House plant

Here's a little Colombian black seedling. It's not getting much sun but I had to grow something while I wait to find my grow spot.

I'm not expecting anything from this plant (how many times have I said that before) but I just like looking at one on the hoof.

Corinto Gold

Corinto Gold

Here's another shot of the Corinto gold. I have been liking this much better than the other samples I've gotten since December last year. I still have ozs of all the others and the Corinto is hands down potency and effect. Great all around bud but is lacking in euphoria compared to some of the others.

Red Rider,

Gorgeous looking bud, that Corinto Gold. So is the Punto Rojo you have posted in the past. You mentioned that this Corinto lacks the euphoria compared to others. Since Punto Rojo seems to be your favorite and looks so fine, like the Corinto with all the different colors after the cure, I've always wanted to read a detailed description of the Punto Rojo where you contrast and compared to the other classics like Corinto, C. Gold, C. Black...

I smoked lots of Columbian when I was a kid. All my friends were the most impressed with the Gold, but the ones I remember most were a very dark one, and one that was just called Columbian (by our source) which was green, brown, gold, and red. It was powerful and tasted great with expansiveness. I called it rainbow, but it looked more like your Punto Rojo or Corinto Gold than the Rainbow that you have posted.

Thanks in Advance,

ThaiBliss

Hey ThaiBliss, yes it seems everyone really like’s the lighter colored sativa and over look the really complex darker ones. It was the same for me in the 70s, gold was the number 1 sought after bud around. I remember around 77 my older brother was wholesaling every drug you can think of and he would get an assortment of bud, from the $10 lids of Mexican hemp up to Thai stick & California Sinsemilla. My brother had a stash box he kept under the couch that contained the best of the best from his shipments. On occasion I had access to it and one time I opened it up to find a beautiful bright green sinsemilla bud amongst the yellow gold and brick reds. Bro informed me that the bud was new Californian sinsemilla and cost $100 a lid! I had to try it so bro let me roll a pin joint and I fired it up to taste for the first time sweet flowery sinsemilla. The effect was different as well and after we burnt the pinner bro started to tell me about sinsemilla, how it was grown and why it was better than the regular seeded bud that was the norm. We were both pretty high and I thought the sinsemilla was worth the money (however I couldn’t pay that much) because I was getting off pretty good. Then my brother said that wasn’t the best he had and asked me the stupid question if I’d like to try the best. Then he produced a chunk of what he called real Colombian Punto Rojo, and handed to me. He said it was much better (stronger) than the sinsemilla and was $60 a lid. It was a clump of dark reddish blue buds with fire truck red hairs running through it. It smelled like incensed hashish and was in fact seedless with no hard big stems. He said it was the finest connoisseur Colombian and there was no better cannabis he knew of. At this time he had two other grades of Colombian ($45 a lid), a Jamaican, Thai weed (loose), 3 grades of Mexican and Blond, Red and black hashish and the Californian. So I rolled another pin joint and put fire to it, still thinking I was high from the sinsemilla. I took the first hit knowing most good Colombian really expands but this beautiful smoke didn’t and I was able to pull a good bit without gagging. I felt it right away cutting though the earlier buzz like I was straight. Instantly I started really getting into the conversation with my brother, two hits later the joint went out in my brother’s hand and didn’t get lit again during this session. This weed not only made me feel very high but it also made me feel a special connection to my older brother and life in general. We talked for what seemed like hours, getting higher and higher without smoking more. He showed me the best buds and hash from his box, explaining in detail where it all came from and which qualities he liked about each. Then there was a knock at his front door and I put the fist sized clump of Punto Rojo in my pocket, not knowing who was at the door. Bro jumped up and opened the door to find his band members. They were all cool of course and came in the door lighting big pink joints of mid grade Mexican. Soon they wanted to practice so I said my goodbyes and hopped on my little Yamaha for the long ride home. I was still fried when I got to my parents house and remembered that I still had that clump in my pocket. Unfortunately the clump met with month long burn accident and never made it back to my brother (who never even asked about it). During our session I remember my brother telling me about gold weed, he said some gold’s were really good but the reds were always better (stronger) and that people would always buy gold before the darker Colombians. I remember him laughing saying that’s why gold is colored gold because its money, but if you want to get high smoke the red.

Red Rider,

Thanks for taking the time for the great story.

I remember plenty of Columbian Red also. That seemed to come around later for me, like the late 1970s. They were all great, it is like splitting hairs between high grades when I'm just wishing I had one of any of those. It's very hard to find even one as good as those around this neck of the woods. You're living the dream.

I'm asking because Cannabiogen is offering up a Punto Rojo that is listed as 19 to 22 weeks to ripen. Perhaps it is the real deal. I'm guess I'm trying to talk myself into going for it.

All the Best,

ThaiBliss

Thanks for sharing everything I appreciate all your post

I love this quote above in particular because it Reminds me of the Words of G who also thought Punto Rojo to be The best , it Seems there are quite a few who have the same Opinion/Experience

Quote below from my True origins of Haze Article

It all began in 1969, In Santa Cruz, California. At the time, there was Thai Oaxacan and punto rojo or Colombian red point - some of the best landrace imports in the area, and some of the best smoke around

That Description of Smoke is amazing Hash/Incense ,Yet another confirmation of the Incense trait Present in Punto Rojo

I Really think you should order a Pack or 5 of Cannbiogen Punto Rojo ,Especially Considering she will be Grown in her Local .I could only imagine ;)

Oh yes the reds came around for me in the late 70s as well. As far as Cannabiogen I have read some really nice things about their seeds and their Colombian descriptions fit the bill. I would try them (and yes I'm thinking about getting a pack of their rojo myself) because they have done the work finding the best plants. There's a lot of variety in the bud here, in one pound of any given "type" there's many different colors and flavors. I'm sure Cannabiogen has a very good representation of Punto Rojo that will take you back.

Roco I think that may be the perfect Sativa X Indica cross. Colombian X DC!

Yes I understand you stonfofish and I know you understand me about these women here. My wife is very beautiful, super sexy but oh my god she is always pissed off about something. She's always in a hurry, always something bothering her. I'm laid back and I let the little things go but she can't. But she is a good mother and any mans dream wife so I put up with her. I could cheat on her and I have many willing girlfriends but I don't want all the problems that go with them.

Beautiful buds Raco! Your Colombian looks very much like the high grade sinsemilla from here. I've got to make a trip to Spain.

Hi Green81, I will indeed start growing out the seeds I have been collecting over the past few months. And of course I will be posting pics of all right here and only here on IC. I do have one little sativa growing but I'm not really counting her cause she doesn't get much sun at my current location.
