Coffeeshop changes in Amsterdam

sort your heads out..............we need someone good to open this thread...............i have many well known respected people interested......no shmo's!....

i wont bother if people dont take an intrest........il try at a later date when we have a realistic proposal ready......................please support this ..............

there are too many people interested in this for it not to happen.....the more people involved the lower the risk for the individual....

what do we all want?....(a share in our own coffe shop....and a reasonable return on our investment)

it will happen if it is a viable and realistic opportunity..........i believe it it.......once it is in motion people will pledge something and in turn recieve an interest

paper work will be done free of charge by one of my friends....

i do know that they are not allowing new coffee shops in amsterdam, maybe in a border town you'd get a license with a dutch partner? would be fun and most interesting to setup.

if it's a serious plan it needs to be discussed face to face, you can't possible plan such a business without knowing who you are gonna be working with.

also this being open forum is not in any way confidential, which a serious business plan needs to be till it's rolling anyway.

we will waste no time then........ when the time comes for details,proof of funding, levels can be set..jobs taken, roles assumed, a vote can be called....then details for face to face discussion and paperwork can be aranged

I'd love to take part in something like that. Been telling my wife that I want to move somewhere where the laws aren't so harsh. I love my hobby, if I could do it and make a living without the fear of losing everything I've got, I would do it in a second.

WTF? I'm totally interested in this but that quote above sounds a bit scary. It says, "please provide me w/addresses of all the grower friends you know so the cops can go bust them". That was asking a lot in a very short amount of time. Face to face would be the only way to discuss...not by a mailing list

yeah it's all a bit of a pipe dream. not that i wouldn't love seting up a coffee shop, but alas i think there are large problems to over come. and there is no way of knowing how long coffee shops will even be allowed in holland. didn't some dutch politician recently say, he could well imagine holland conforming to the rest of the eu when it comes to thc products, in 10 years from now?

how about a member's club? like not really a coffeeshop but a cool cafe. instead of worrying about supplying the nation, just get enough for the members and perhaps avoid the regulations. if it grows up then have it public later..

id pay an annual membership to get top buds for local prices

also, wouldnt it be easier/cheaper to do it in a neigbouring town? amsterland seems pretty locked up buy those who have been doing it for ages

if you had the cash and 5000 £100 maybe pleges.....wouldent you think of the dream....a pipe dream maybe....but its in the pipeline....

sounds to me like you should be the one in business. it cant be that hard for a briton to get permission to open shop in holland.. move there, get your work papers then a regular job & bank account.. within a short time i bet youd be allowed to start a business and perhaps get a loan.. or sell shares. start small [it all starts with a seed]

it seems to me that even the 'legit' shops have occasional legal troubles and have to get supply in dodgy fashion so why not be a little more sly and do it through a pizza shop or something? less startup than 1million bucks or a hostel maybe.

if an existing Coffee shop in Am'dam costs around a million...then a new coffee shop on the Belguim border (including bribes to the local council, renovation/set-up costs etc) would be less than a third of that cost.

that's only 60 investors @ only $5000 each

not an impossible dream.

eg a classified ad in High Times "Dutch coffee shop investors wanted" would attract thousands of inquiries.

You would be surprised at how diffacult it can be. Its not that far off of an idea, bit I still think its a pie in tha sky idea none the less, pot heads conforming, please. 60 people, try two with 150,000 each. Then maybe we would get a shop, as asked Gypsy won't comment on this because he doesn't back the idea. so ICmag shop I don't think so, possibly one that is owned by ICmaggers but not an ICcoffeeshop. Pie in that sky people.
