Cobra...hey man, do remember where you got these square pots?

I have about six from old veggie starts and would love about fifty more. mine are like 4" x 3.5" - perfect!

These are 4"L x 4"W x 3.5"H and I got them from our local farm co-op. It's a farm and feed store thats county operated. Usually have the BEST prices for things anywhere around. A couple cents a piece. I have to have well over 200 of them. I use them mostly for the cacti seedlings I grow.

Last week I got the 8mm feed lines for the Blumats ran into each section of the cab. The top section comes in at the bottom left hand side of it, just above the Darkroom Louvers. Both HPS sections come in at the top middle of each side.

As for the PExCC in the cab, its doing great. Has a little bit of heat/light stress in the center but other than that, its chugging along nicely. I'm about 99% sure it's a male though. Oh well, I can collect its pollen to hit up some of the females I have in the tents.

Since I've decided to use this cab for seed runs, the wife has been nice enough to start making me some home made Geopots. So far, she has done a fantastic job. We have 7 more to make so I'll take a few pics of how we're doing it.

We decided to go with 10"x8"x15" containers. Doing the math, that should be just over 5 gallons of soil. I'll be able to fit 4 of each into each side of the cab nicely. So going with them, I've gone ahead and lined the bottom of each side of the cab with panda film instead of using drip trays.

Super excited to fill in both sides. As soon as the bags are done, I'm planning on starting 2 strains. 4 plants on each side. Collecting pollen, possibly making more seeds/crosses and finding potential mothers. I'll hook up the blumats once both sides are ready. Stay tuned. Going to be running through a ton of strains in the VERY near future.

The wife got our homemade containers done the other day and they turned out FANTASTIC! The measurements are 8"x10"x15" and it should have held just over 5 gallons per container. I don't know how, but they appear to hold a LOT more than that. More soil the better I guess.

I'm going with 4 in each side, 8 total. Once I get the PExCC out of the other side of the cab, I'll throw the other 4 into it's place and start some seed runs. This should allow me to run through a couple strains at a time and use my tents ONLY for clones. Once the seedlings are transplanted, I'll finish the Blumat install.

Took a few clones of this one yesterday and am thinking of starting 12/12 soon. I have a strong feeling it's male. Want to run 12/12 to make sure though. If anything, I can chuck some pollen with it. Should be interesting.

That single pexcc is really filling out nicely.

Have any of the plants shown their sex yet?

Looking great! nice work on the lst

Thank you! I definitely see starting the LST process earlier has its benefits. The PExCC in this cab got WAY bushier much faster than the plants in my tents. It allowed me to take clones a lot sooner. Starting it so early though made it difficult to hand water. That's a thing of the past now that the Blumats have been hooked up.

Thank you! I showed her your message and she appreciates your response and says "Thank you". I love them so far. We got all of the bags filled and put into place. I need to replace the panda film bottom in the left side of the cab due to it getting scratched up by the drip tray of the 10g. Other than that, it's pretty much ready to rock.

Thank you! The PExCC in this cab has for sure shown that it is a male. It got the chop a couple days ago, though I do have a few clones of it incase I decide I'd like to make seeds with it. As for the tents, they went into 12/12 a few days ago. So far, the PExCC has 1 female and I'm thinking 3 males. The Satori has definitely 1 female and the others aren't really showing yet. The SDK has 3 females and no signs on the last yet. I'm excited. Got at least 1 female of each strain to make mothers out of. Hoping they are some fine smoke. The PExCC female is AMAZING. Super bushy and very uniform. Now that I think of it, all of the PExCC were super bushy. I think it will make an EXCELLENT candidate for scrog. We shall see.

So the PExCC in this cab has shown to be male and has gotten the chop. This has opened up the other side of the cab for the new homemade breathable containers. All are now filled and in place. The Blumat mains are now ran and in place as well. Just have to water the bags very well and install/hookup the sensors. One of the bags has fairly newer soil in it so I may wait another week or two before starting the seeds. Excited to start this strain hunting process. Really looking forward to having a variety of smoke.

So here's the cab as of this AM with the lights removed. The Blumat mains come out the top center of each side of the 150 cabs and drop straight down. Cable rokas were made to hold these lines in place. They hit "T's" just under the intakes and run around the outside of the containers. "T" off at the back plants with drip line and end at quick disconnects laying in the pots. The front pots have ends that change over to the drip line and end at quick disconnects as well. All in all, I'm happy with the way it turned out. I had just enough mainline tubing to get to the cab and ran inside. One day when I have the cab pulled out, I'll take a pic of the backside to show the array of things mounted to it.

I feel this way is going to work quite well. Should allow me to blaze through these seeds to find mothers. With the sensors, I plan on running 2-3 drippers off of them to make sure I have fairly even coverage. I'm thinking of working on that today so more pics to come once they are in place.

Just finished installing the Blumat sensors and distribution drippers. I may wind up picking up some more drippers depending on what kind of coverage I get with the two. Either way, they turned out great and should be the last step to get this show on the road. Starting seeds soon.

C420 love the reset of the cab! Kudos to the wife on the grow bags , those came out perfect. They take advantage of the space very well and the blumats are a nice touch. Can't wait to see it greened up  glad to see you posting here again

Thank you. I'm glad to get it running again. She's all stoked now that she's made these. She has been asking for new measurements because she's ready to make more for our greenhouse . So glad to be back!

Thank you. I feel with these few changes, it's just about "complete". It has taken a lot of hours tweeking this cab but I am quite amazed at what you can learn to do over the internet!

Debating at the moment what seeds to start. Too many to choose from! I wish I could run them all at once but 2 strains at a time will have to do.

Stay tuned, starting seeds soon.

Great thread, looking forward to see your next run, as I am also gonna run a smaller cabinet soon, but with a 250w hps, scrog, coco, blumats - it's gonna be cool to compare to yours :)

As I just started my project, I'll probably pick up a thing or two from your grow - for example I love the use of one of those crappy usb-fans to cool the bulbs!

That sounds like a great setup! I'm excited to compare the two grows as well. You are going to LOVE the Blumats. Best investment I've made in this hobby, besides seeds of course.

As for the fans, Thank you. They plug right into the 120 outlet I put into each side and do a FANTASTIC job of cooling off the bulbs.

Where did you get those intake's at?

The Darkroom Louvers I got from here:

http://www.adorama.com/DKL8.html

They have different sizes but I've read in the past the smaller circular ones are garbage. I've seen them on a few sites but they all seemed to be about the same price. At least they were a couple years ago when I bought them.

Just a quick word of advice, they are 4 or 5 layers and are quite restrictive. I remember doing the math and figuring out how much CFM they pass but it was quite awhile ago. I'll look through my notes and see if I have it jotted down. I think I remember reading it was just under half the flow compared to an open hole. When all was done, I think I was just under the amount of intake I was going for. They are completely light proof though and they seem to work quite well.

If I would have done it again, I would have used larger ones, 12"x12" or even the 12"x24" on the back of the cabinets. But my issue is I also use 2 on the top of each 150 cab to connect to the mother/clone area. I just had enough space for 2 - 8"x8" per side. Also, with their sizes, you need to add an inch to all four sides, when I got mine, they were really 10"x10" with an 8"x8" interior for air flow.

On another note, I'm about to go choose and plant seedlings now. 2 strains, 4 seeds per strain. Hoping for 100% germination and 100% female. When I get the seeds out, I'll post some pics on how I've gone about storing them. I got the idea from someone on this site. We have started storing our garden seeds this way with success.

Here's how I've been storing the seeds I've acquired. I start off with a small vial that's just a little taller than a nickel. Their unit of measure is in "drams". I can't remember what size they are, I'll have to check but I got them fairly cheap. 150 vials and caps for about 50 bucks shipped.

I put a small layer of rice, then add the seeds then top off with rice and cap. I've noticed I can fit a good amount of seeds in each vial. I label the vial and place it in the mason jar. With the mason jar I'm using, I can fit 3 levels of 14 vials vertically and then a few more on top horizontally. For some reason I want to say 50 vials total.

After each layer of vials I put in, I fill the gaps with more rice. Then close up and put into a paper bag, rolled up and placed into the crisper drawer of the refrigerator. Per the thread I got this from, the op says the seeds should be good for a few years this way. We'll see how it goes.

I like this method because I can store a TON of different strains in a very small space.

The wife and I also got the strains we wanted to start selected and planted! She chose Nirvana's Bubblicious and I chose Mosca's C99 F1. 4 of each are in our seedling starter mix and ready to rock.

Now we wait. Hoping for the best!!

update on the seedlings...

As of 2 days ago, we were at 1/4 Bubblelicious up and 2/4 C99 up. Since I was kind of concerned about filling up the cabinet, I went ahead and started 3 more Bubblelicious and 2 more C99 as insurance. I checked them today and still have 1/4 Bubblelicious and 2/4 C99. As for the seeds though, I have 3 nice roots on the Bubblelicious and the 2 C99 look like little clams. So I went ahead and planted them in place of the ones that didn't pop. Hoping in the next day or two, to have 4/4 of each up and going. We'll see what happens.

I have a feeling I made the soil too wet when starting the first set of seeds so for the few extras I went with, I went with the paper towel method to make sure they sprouted. I was quite impressed with how large the Bubblelicious sprouts were after only 48 hours. Amazing. Hoping to fill up all 8 of these bags!!

hell yea man nice strain collection!!

Thank you. There are MANY more I'd like to acquire and plan on soon. Excited to start running through them. It feels good knowing the actual genetics that I'm running instead of running bagseed all the time.

Pic update in a few days, want to let the other sprouts break ground so we aren't just looking at a bunch of soil  Here's to 8/8 within the next couple of days.
