Looking great Dave!
Any pics of the classic gear?

Thanks Raho! Will get some early flowering pics up soon for them. The H. Skunk x Romulan is very leggy. One is stretching quite a bit. Must be the H. Skunk side as when I grew out Classics Rom before, I never had this type of stretch.

The one female GOAL13 I have is staying short and compact. Barely any stretching on her. Had to sit her up on a old container/rootball to move her higher up towards the lights. Both lines should be fast developing so maybe we'll have a harvest in under 2.5 months from now.

Man, that sounds great :) Really with that cross, it seems like you get a winner no matter what parent it takes after.

Oh yeah, the old "pot on a pot" technique :)
That GOAL13 sounds like a real "mystery date"

Fallin behind

Fallin behind

Been awhile since Ive updated, but I brought some some photos of a GOAL13 plant from Classic Seeds. Just one boy and one girl to play with until I pick up more packs.

The last time we saw this plant she was a lil seedling. Come along way now. Were around 50-53 Days flowering, and should be ready by Day 80. Purple hues have begun to soak into the calyxes, and Im hoping we get a deeper more intense purple by the end.

Seeds, seeds, and more seeds

Seeds, seeds, and more seeds

Alright gang, recently I got out my collection of Classic Seeds and with the input of others I settled on starting Berry Indica, Plato Y Plomo, and more DPf2s. All in all, 41 new seeds have gone into the media. I dont expect great germ numbers on the Classic lines, so Ill be putting more down in 2 weeks to replace those that dont come up.

Ive also got about 60 DP F2 seeds that Ill be working through for the remainder the year. Id like to get all the remaining DP cracked, and start searching for all star plants for the F3 generation. Hope to be planting F3 seeds come Spring or Summer next year.

Classic said:
the berry indica is a afghan strain that i worked to isolate the berry flavor and try to keep it still as tough as the original landrace it came from.its been my go to for berry flavor for 30 years (1980).
the berry can range from currant tasting to very black berry
hi yes they are pure Mexican genetics they are mixed from different areas the few I got that were unmixed I shared with snow and coastal seeds .these are the real deal not a scam from dirt weed but the best Mexican strains that crossed for 2 years 2012 and 2013 I have not got any yet this year and don't know if I will it was just pure luck I got offered these aloha cls

Decisions, decisions, decisions..

The first DP up. Still a lil yellow from having the top container on top. Should green up nicely by tomorrow.

Hi Dave,

Can you describe the aromas you detected from the Gypsy Thai Sticks?

Thanks,

ThaiBliss

Hey TB. Nice to have you in here. I had one Thai lady that reeked of Pine and nothing else. It was like walking through a forest of pine trees. Was an interesting profile for awhile, but long term I couldn't handle pine and pine only! Its like smoking Pinesol!

Other ladies had pine terps, but also strong menthol, citrus notes. The menthol/citrus combo was more prominent in the other ladies, but you could smell a touch of pine in them. Those were the ones I preferred to smoke in terms of taste.

Looking super great in here man, I can’t wait to see what the Classic beans bring you!

Thanks SourDank. Im hoping to find some nice gems in these old beans. Got several Hawaiian Skunk x Romulan thats gonna be coming down within a month. Sadly Im finding nanners on them, but plan on giving most of them a second run. Lots of other goodies to pop if those dont work out. :tiphat:

Oh yea this is going to be exciting ! Cant wait to see what you get from the rest of those dp's . I must still pop mine

Id suggest popping those beans sooner than later. Ive seen slowly declining germ rates with them over the last year or so, so dont wait too long. Hope you'll share some photos of them when you get around to it. Oh and thanks for picking some up, or were you an original tester who never popped them heh. :tiphat:

Looking forward to when you can run them. Too bad you missed out on the DPxThai freebies. There are some nice gems to be found in that cross. Plan on redoing that cross down the line when Ive got the DP worked several more generations after Ive locked in certain traits Im fond of. Eventually we'll get to see them available again. I need to start some more of them up soon. I miss having them around.

Classic Seeds H. Skunk x Romulan

Classic Seeds H. Skunk x Romulan

I should have posted this up well over a month ago. I put the photos into my album, and then forgot to do the update for em.

Were around 5 weeks into flowering I think at this point(much closer to finish line now/new photos coming tonight)? Not looking like a 10-12 week variety at this point. Ive realized they're a bit nute sensitive in flower. Had no issues in veg with them, but several that are flowering are showing signs of too high of fertility levels in the bud development. I even used less Osmocote with these plants too! Arg. Ive got 2 clones of each female, so Ill be able to run both with different fert levels next time and see which performs best.

So lanky too. More than a 2.5x stretch for these seedplants. Clones wont stretch as much I hope.

Follow up to the previous lady I showed. She got harvested just a couple of days ago, well most of her. I kept the bottom 3rd of her around to bulk up a lil more.

Its been about 32 days between pics of the H.Skunk x Rom, which puts them around 67 or 68 Days flowering when these pics were taken. At the time of harvest, she was probably around 10.5 weeks flowering. This lady falls into the 10-12 week time frame. She has the most sativa like bud structure of the group, but finished the fastest and has just the most pungent, rancid pot roast/onions/garlic terp profile you can imagine. Itd probably make you hungry for some pot roast if you smelled it. The other two sisters are much sweeter and nothing like this girl at the moment at least. The other two girls probably need 2-3 more weeks to be ready for harvest. Yield wont be much. The other two sisters have a different bud structure, that will out yield this girl, but it comes with extra weeks of development.

I dont think Ive found a single nanner on this girl, but the other two sisters are throwing some nanners here and there. Second run of clones for all 3 girls wont be too far behind. Since I only have 3 females, and two males, Ill end up pollinating all 3 girls with pollen from both males, and someday dig through the F2's searching for intersex free plants.

Some pics now.
