Thai Stick G Harvest Update

Thai Stick G Harvest Update

I should have gotten these pics up weeks ago, but here they are now. This is Thai Stick G(Clone) right after she was finished drying and ready to trim. She got made into a couple of cobs, and one mason jar of old-fashioned buds. Im not sure how much she ended up yielding, but it was enough to over-stuff 1 gallon zip-loc bag.

Im looking forward to trying the cob in a few months, but thats only if I can maintain my patience..Its gonna be tough.

Good work alround there is some good cobs being made by guys on this forum.
Check out Bold As Loves post in my thread "Malawi style cob curing". There are a few others who have posted good cobs to.
Dave the pop corn buds from that Thai will make really good cobs, I find they are more mature than the main buds sometimes and create different effects. Sorry to hijack your thread but I am tasting my Panama x Malawi cob and its so good I am feeling "the love".

Great thread. The title is fn hilarious!!

Great work with the Thai, Durban and cob curing. I find the idea of cob curing interesting. I wonder what chemical process is going on and what exactly would contribute to the enhanced tastes and effects that have been reported?

Anywho, thanx for documenting your adventures.....It's been a great ride thus far. Looking forward to future shenanigans, incredible herb and interesting curing methods.

Keep up the good work!

Its fermentation.
The strongest smoke ever reported is African Black Magic. Its not a strain, really, but a process of taking an African sativa and curing it in sheep/goat intestine by way of fermentation.
This actually makes me want to do or see a comparison of cobbed cannabis between standard organic cannabis and probiotic organic cannabis grown with ferments like LAB.

Thanks for all the love and encouragement everyone. Its a nice thing to read after working all day. Im glad to know everyone is enjoying the thread still even though Im quite sporadic with my updates, and overdue on quite a few smoke reports. I keep telling myself Ill get caught up one day, but Ive always been a terrible procrastinator, and the wrong weed at just the right time(its always the right time for Mary Jane), will just derail my motivation to get updates done. :bongsmi:

Thankfully tonight Ive been puffing on some of the Jar-Curred Thai Stick G. And also a small bit of Durban Poison...Oh and some 3 month old cobbed Mr. Nice Shit that I found in the back of my closet a few days ago.

How stoked was I to find a cob, 3 months old, still vac-sealed in the initial bag?!?!?! Incredibly so, let me tell you. The buds went from green to varying hues of dark green, dark brown, and purple, with some lovely fiery orange pistils thrown in there for good measure. You could smell the fermentation that had occurred during that extended period, but what a wonderful smell and taste it has. Not at all over-done or unpleasant, although my friend said it kinda smelled like cat-food but I think he's crazy.

Ill blow out a cloud of the smoke and dip my head in it just to deeply inhale the unique aromas cob-curing produces. In fact I just loaded up my bowl with some. I think you'd like this one Tang.

Its a looser packed one you've recommended to others in the Cob thread. I can peel strips of bud away from the cob much like Mozarella string cheese. No need to break out the grinder to prepare any. I just peel off what I need, roll it into ball and into the pipe she goes for my pleasure and enjoyment.

I know some of you are still on the fence about trying it, but dont delay. Once you do it, you'll be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner.

This is the 3 month aged-cob that I mentioned earlier in the post. How incredible does that look??? I know you want to smoke that shit, so try it out yourself and thank Tang afterwards.

Now your just showing off!! Man those last pics just sucked me in to the cob I wish I could smell it.
I have been nearing my peek limit on some sweat cured Panama. I had a piece left in a plastic bag in my shirt pocket and my body temp heated it up, I was thinking that shit smells awesome. I had to stash it as I couldn't walk around with it.
You know as it ages it turns more like a piece of hash, you can mold it into shapes and then hold it up to sniff it. I am rambling again, lovely photos when you know what to look for its crazy.
Like that little yellow leaf in the last pic center of the cob, priceless. I remember seeing that so many times.
Love the pics.

Damn right I was strutting my cobs for you all, besides you enjoyed it. :dance013:Im real proud of them, but Im only able to produce them to that quality thanks to you my friend.

I wouldn't mind walking around with a little bit of cob in my pocket. I do love the aroma they produce. I bet aroma therapy with mary jane would be quite soothing. So much so, I just went and got a little larf from the bottom of my plant and rubbed it along my stach so I can enjoy the smells without needing to hold a bud up to my nose. It looks kinda weird when people see you doing that.

Hash...mmmMmmmMM. How long till they reach the hash-y consistency? Im not sure I have the patience to let them age that long. They're so irresistible.

You definitely should get to it. I waited about a month to try it out after reading about Tangs results in his cob thread, and I should have just tried it immediately. You'll be glad you did. One over looked benefit of cob-ing is how little room the cobs take up. I can fit 4 ozs. worth of cobs into a single mason jar where before it held an oz. Now if I could only produce enough bud to fill all those extra mason jars I have.

Hi Dave you know it never stops freaking me out how little I need, I have a plastic bag with little rocks of Panama the size of orange pips. If I chew one of those, as I did 5 hours ago Bam! high as kite for 6 to 8 hrs, at this rate my 2oz cob will last me about 5 years ha ha.
I am fast developing an addiction to this buzz, I really like this green pheno.
I have revegged it and she is budding all over. I have about 12 colas filling as i speak.
I will post some pics when they are super juicy in 4 or 5 weeks, and then the cobs a few weeks later. i didn't quite nail the last cobs while they trip me out easily I know I can do better next time.
Dave its good to see someone as into cobs as I am keep those lovely bud and cob shots coming they make my day.

Gypsy Nirvana Thai-E(Clone) Harvest Update

Gypsy Nirvana Thai-E(Clone) Harvest Update

This one too is late and overdue everyone, but I hope you all enjoy it nonetheless. These pics were snapped right before I trimmed her up. What a lovely looking lady. Such long delicate foxtails of calyx on top of calyx. I hope she'll smoke as good as she looks in the future.

Total yield? No clue. Dont really care about yield all that much other than, Do I have enough to cover my needs and still have some left over to share? I think this lady delivered in that department though. She too filled up an entire 1 gallon ziplock bag, that was stuffed to the brim.

Her bud structure ended up being somewhere between G & A. Not quite as airy and foxtaily as A is, but not as 'dense' of buds as G has. No bag appeal other than to those in the know.

She was a real treat to grow out, and I can't wait to flower her again. Oh wait, thats right. I put all 4 Thai Clones into flowering about 5 days ago. We've got another round of Thai coming up everyone! This time all 4 will get to flower out along side each other barring any screw up by me. Although, I imagine everyone is getting tired of seeing Thai at this point....j/k There might even be some Durban updates sprinkled in there too. Stay tuned.

Now for some pics of this ladies final offerings.

Dude, I smoke it and I know exactly what you mean by how little you need to consume to get high as a kite. All day Ive been puffing on some vac-sealed Thai Stick G that I did on a lark and it just doesn't do the job like a good cob. I decided to break into my Shit cob Ive had vac-sealed since the 5th of this month, but it was already around 3 weeks old before I re-sealed it. So say 5.5 week old cob, and Im only 1.5 bowls into a small amount I cut off and ground up to enjoy. Theres at least 2 more bowls waiting for me in my grinder, and Im not sure if Ill even be able to smoke it all. Who am I kidding? Of course Ill finish it, but it may take me awhile.

Its taken me at least 20 minutes to smoke the 2 bowls so far. Knowing for a fact, my sense of time gets heavily warped when under the influence of cob, its probably be 40 minutes to an hour in actuality. If I were smoking TSG regular buds, or any regular buds, Itd be bowl after bowl after bowl trying to get high but not reaching that mark Im after.

The cob gets me there with so little needed, and it feels even better than traditional cured buds. IMO, Mason Jars are for only storing my cobs now...

I just unwrapped some Thai Stick G cobbed buds that had a good moist sweat before vac-sealing. Although, on at least one occasion I found out my seal failed on me, so I may not have gotten the best results out of the buds, but we'll just wait a few months and see how they turn out, but this cob came out smelling sickly sweet and very moist. Im gonna share some pics of them and my Mr. Nice Shit cob as well Im enjoying at this moment. Hope you'll enjoy. I look forward to seeing your most recent cob attempts. I love seeing everyones. I need to visit your cob thread after I get through with my updates.

I must try out this chewing on the cob. I bet its much more enjoyable than chewing on jar-curred buds, which is just awful no matter how you chew it. Have you ever tried making a consumable beverage with it before? I was thinking of making a hot chocolate infused with some cob. Im not sure what amount of cob to use though. I definitely dont want to over do it. Ive also considered using it in edibles. Tried that yet? Got any good recipes.
