Youll have to let us know how that Thai Keif burned.. Looks tasty! Smoke report plz??

Indeed it tasted nice. Wish I could share. I dont have time for a smoke report at the moment. I just wanted to check in first. Ive got plenty of chores to get to on my day off. Ill work on a preliminary smoke report very soon for everyone. Expect something in next 2-3 days. Ill probably be puffing on a little more of it to help start my days to give me some more experience to pull from.

So sorry I haven't discovered this thread earlier! Congrats man, this thread rocks!
I love sativas and this thread made me love them even more! :lurk:

You're never too late to join the fun exploziv. This just means you've got alot more pages to read right now than everyone else does :).

Sativas are where its at man. Everyone should be growing one in their garden at all times. Just make sure to grow something faster along side them if you struggle with patience.

Stay tuned for more!

That Thai looks beautiful. If this is an early sample, how long do you typically let it go?

Well the mother plant went 145 days before I chopped her down. She was an ugly unhealthy mess at that time and I didn't do her justice at all. I was able to keep the clone much healthier deeper into flowering(100 days) before yellowing occurred. I still got some really nice foxtailed buds even with low fertility levels over the last two months+ though.

Im shooting for 210 Days, chopping off a branch every week leading up to that, and I do believe I get to chop another branch off tonight to hang dry!

Ill have to post some pics of my latest clone of her soon for you all. She's flowering the fastest out of all my Thai clones in flower, but its also her 3rd run. Only first or second run for the others, so I do think time to initiate flowering is speeding up. How long TSA will take to finish is ..unknown.

Your probably soaring to the stars right now, super jealous over here brother. Much respect sir, that's a long time to wait for a lady. I'm glad she's been worth the time for you. This has easily turned into one of my favorite threads on IC

Thanks for the praise Sour D, and everyone else. I am humbled. :tiphat: I just want to grow beautiful plants and share them with the world. Hopefully others will appreciate them like yourselves.

TSA is indeed a nice treat. One Ill get to try out repeatedly over the next month with each mini-harvest. I can't wait to see if she gets better over this time or not.

This thread kicks ass! Beautiful plants broda!

Thanks for the love Buddah. Much appreciated. You all help keep me motivated to properly care for these ladies, so I should be thanking all of you. Thank you :)

Thai Stick A Clone Update 34 Days Flowering

Thai Stick A Clone Update 34 Days Flowering

TSA is now just a bit over a month into flowering. 34 Days now under 11/13, and kicking into flowering faster than the other clones right now. Maybe she will finish faster for me too. Under 6 months would be real nice.

As for nutrition, she's been hand-fed a couple of times during the last month. GH 3 part Flora series @ 5/5/5/ ml/gallon. The osmocote @ 5grams/gallon of media is providing plenty of nutrition to keep her and the others fed for now

Ive got the Thai about 40 inches away from my 600w Ushio Opti Blue. I dont want them to get closer than 36". Too close and the upper canopy tends to yellow faster than I want and EC levels drop faster than Id like as well. So far they're doing nicely at this distance. Fan leaves are healthy and green, with a soft supple feel to them. The difficult part will be maintaining them for the next 3-4 months. Put your patience cap on everyone.

Now for some pictures of TSA-Clone.

Thai Stick G Day 34 Update

Thai Stick G Day 34 Update

Next up is Thai Stick G. Just like TSA, I am running a clone alongside the mother plant in flowering for TSG. This clone will provide a much better run than the TSG-Mom near her. I can't wait to see how much better she does this time around with better conditions.

Day 34 Thai Stick F Flowering Update

Day 34 Thai Stick F Flowering Update

Were down to our last Thai for the night, Thai Stick F. She's one of the slowest ones to kick into flowering as well. Maybe in another month we will have noticeable buds forming to show off. For now just fan leaves and more fan leaves.

Everyone can do it Sour D, not just me. They still are a challenge nonetheless as they do command so much attention once they really kick into flowering. I wish everyone would try one, or two in their garden. If you can take a Thai to 100 days with all her fan leaves still on her at that point, just imagine how much easier it is to grow and keep healthy a 60-70 day variety. It becomes a walk in the park.

There will be many more updates on these thai in the future. Ill strive for an update every month for each lady. Maybe even throw in some of Sam's HazeSkunk F2 for something different too soon. Got a single HazeSkunk lady waiting in the wings to move into the flowering room.

I just had a space open up too, now that I had to remove DP-M from the flowering room. She's throwing too many nanners @ Day 62 for me to be let her keep going in there, so I moved her into my veg tent to flower for 2-3 more weeks and then chop her. Thats about how much time she likely needs anyways from her current looks. Ill do a pic update on her real soon.

Its sad too because she was the chunkiest of them by far. A real shame.

Those long skinny leaves are just everywhere! Great work going on here.

Bask in the sexy skinny leaves! I love em too, but I got to give some love to the Durban P's chunky leaves as well. Now lets see how many of those leaves are still there in 3 months.

This is zambian/malawian brick weed from chipote.Zambians and
malawian growers agree that it is the same strain but obviously
has now mutated into several phenotypes.

This update is a little over due, but better late than never. I let DP-D hang dry as a whole plant with no fan leaves removed for 8 days. Nothing comes off, I want to retain as much foliage to extend the drying period. I also trim after drying, not before. Tried it both ways, and trimming when dry is easier and produces better product, imo.

After hang-drying, I did a light trim of the buds and moved them into paper-bags for 4-5 days before moving into two mason jars. I wanted to go longer in the bags like I did with my previous Mr. Nice Shit, but the buds were losing too much moisture, so I had to put immediately into mason jars, and threw in two fan leaves so the buds would rehydrate to my desired levels.

If you ever over-dry your buds, or just purchase some buds too dry, stick them in a mason jar, some fan leaves and wait over-night and check. If too dry still, add another fan leaf. I usually start with one medium fan leaf, and will up to a second one if necessary. It works wonders. Give it a try.

I ended up with close to 40 grams from her, with the main cola weighing 9-10 grams. Lots of lower nugs in the .5-1.5 gram on her to make up the rest of the weight. I would benefit from having her tops all even and yield more, but I like seeing the natural structure the first time around if possible. The clone of her is practically a bonzai bush of her right now. I dont even want to top the cute little thing. Ill have to get you guys some pics of her tonight and put up.

W/ regards to smell, I got the opinion of a close friends nose and he said one smelled like grapefruit & notes of tropical fruit, while another smelled like rotten cheese. I can say I smelled a touch of grapefruit in one before, but not sure my nose identifies with rotten cheese though.

Now though, its time for some pictures of our lovely lady.

Durban Poison D Follow up

Durban Poison D Follow up

I wanted to share some last pics of Durban Poison-D's buds I snapped before the focus moves onto other plants. About a fourth of the buds had already been sampled away before taking these pics. I dipped into the jars a little more than I realized. Its very difficult to keep myself away from those buds. Ive set the main cola back for a month long cure, where Ill sample it and give a Smoke Report then. Maybe do a follow-up one at 3-6 months if I can resist smoking it all. Pray for me. I dont think Ill have the strength.

Now some quick pics of the finished buds, then Ill share a few pics of DP-D clone I have in my garden.

Durban Poison D Clone Update

Durban Poison D Clone Update

This little lady has been in her half gallon container for about 20 days now. This has helped keep her short and compact and easier for me to manage. I dont think Ill need to worry about her stretching a lot when I eventually flower her out. Soon she will get transplanted into a one gallon container, with small step ups each time to help maintain compact growth.

I also like to use a 50/50 mix of 'red'/'blue' T5 bulbs to aid with the compact growth. Too much blue, and the plants will be far too compact for ideal flowering size. Great though, if you run a micro garden or doing a selection run and you want to keep your plants small.

She will soon be moved into my larger veg tent likely after her next transplant. That'll be her next update on her journey through my garden. Now for some pics of the little lady.

Here she was about 20 days ago.

Then I transplanted her into the half gallon container, or is it .75..?
