Hi Dave nice buds I have to say "I would cob it".
How long do you usually cure thai buds like those?
They can taste very sweet when cobbed and a lot more potent IMO.
I am sure you know what your doing either way, can't wait for a smoke report, but I am sure its a way off yet.
Tangwena
I would like to see that.

Continued..

Im gonna get up on my soap box for a minute. Give me a minute..my knees aren't as strong as they're used to be.

I see way too many pictures of 'harvest-ready' plants posted on these forums and its breaks my heart to see plants harvested weeks earlier than they should. Too many growers are seeing 80-90% pistils brown/orange, and thinking its harvest time. When in reality, you're only beginning the final stage of flowering at that point. The calyxes haven't swollen yet, the pistils haven't even begun to shrivel and recede, yet people are chopping anyways.

People are always chasing that incredible bud structure, but hamstringing themselves by chopping weeks before they ever witness it..Even worse when they resort to unnecessary bud hardeners, PK boosters, etc, etc.

These plants were flowering out are females you know..you have to be patient with them to reap the rewards..Rush her, and you'll probably be displeased to say the least.

Ok, now back to the nice pictures.

Below is my precious little clone of the flowering Mom. She's took forever to kick into reveg mode and is finally making some real progress after almost 1.5 months post rooting.

I envy outdoor growers, but at the same time Im pretty happy to just grow indoors and not deal with the weather, ripper, bugs, police, etc. My worst problem are running out of head space for my plants, and fungus gnats.

I did guerrilla outdoors once for just a few plants, and that shit is tough and I didn't even have to hike that far. Not done it again since. Id much rather have a nice climate controlled greenhouse on my own property and some friendly local laws too of course :)

Instead I have to grow clandestinely indoors.

Glad you're still enjoying them SourDank. She came along pretty nicely and pretty. I posted another update, that I had forgotten to submit last night. Got it all ready and forgot, so enjoy.

Beautiful plants Dave well done. Im sure you will enjoy them. That purple dp is especially pretty. I'd love to hear a smoke report. I remember smoking dutch passions DP back in 1998 and it was a nice positive high.

There will indeed be a smoke report in the near future. Ill somehow force myself not to touch the buds till at last 3 weeks of cure. I also want to try Tangwena's cob curing method on some of the Durban Poison along side the Thai Stick A. Should be fun trying that out.

Im hoping this will be an upbeat postive high too. Something motivating and clear headed, and puts a smile on my face the entire time.

Were almost there. Just a little longer everyone.

Thai Stick A Harvest Followup

Thai Stick A Harvest Followup

Im back with another update gang. The early sample of Thai Stick A has dried to the point of being paper-bag ready. I kinda neglected to buy the materials for cob-curing..That'll have to wait till later. Although Im not sure if that whole branch even adds up to an ounce. Whats the minimum amount you would recommend for cobbing Tangwena?

Such delicate airy pure sativa buds. Doesn't look like much to look at, but a real treat to the person lucky enough to be puffing on it. I can't wait to see how this smokes months down the line. Early sampling right this minute is continually pulling me away from this update. I just want to drift off into the high..I need to get some pictures up for you all first while I still have the willpower..

I will say one hit of Thai is easily equal to one bowl of Mr. Nice Shit aka Skunk or more! Not nearly as pungent, but so much stronger.

The fiskars are there just to show scale. I barely trimmed the buds. Just snipped off the largest leaves and placed the buds into a paperbag. It didn't really seem like there was much need to trim further. You'll also spot a few seeds in there from some female shits that went hermie on me many months ago. Just a handful of seeds and not enough to ruin her. Big chunky seeds too. Tasty too. Just ate one that came out of a bud.

Possibly even a pollination by a hidden Durban Poison nanner. Ive spotted a nanner or two recently on DPM. I plucked them and moved on, but Im sure Ive missed one here or there. Maybe I should keep the seeds from the upper parts of the colas as they're more likely to be Durban x Thai. Would be a fun grow of a few plants.

Pictures and more pictures.

That Thai looks beautiful. If this is an early sample, how long do you typically let it go?
