Cherry Pie's parents?

I was totally aware of the chances of the herm tendency to show up in the offspring but usually run under 6 at a time. So it's very easy to look under their skirts everynite
So I don't mind the results are absolutly great .. Plus I don't sell any beans just pop'em lol and give them away to my close buddy's but they are all aware of what could potently go on..

Agreed. I have a couple strains that throw some nanners but are otherwise amazing. It can be worth the trouble sometimes.

Come on, there are so many version of GSC now, and all of it's crosses.

You can easily self a cone only. All the big seeds companies do this. Look how many version of OG Kush there are.

Ken's Candyland is fucking bomb, they use the GSC x GDP

Loud Seeds "Loud Scout" is hella bomb too. Made form the GSC too. Like really really bomb.

Complain all you want about them "naming strains" form their GSC crosses.

People will still buy the shit outta them, and they don't have to deal with all the politics of the original hoarded cuts.

You can get the Forum cut, the OGKB or the Thin Mints at most dispensaries selling clones, from SF to San Jose. Take your pick which one you want. Hit it with Dr T's Tiresta's mist, next thing you know you have tons of s1 Girl Scout seeds.
your obviously missing my point dude....

yes i agree lots of different cookie hybrids look nice.... some more than others lol...

but when you go and name a hybrid the same thing as a specific plant its decieving the grower to think they will have that plant....
like for instance raskals white s1 or maybe cgs the white s1... those arent even hybrids(that include a completely new genetic)... they are keeping exact genes... and they still dont produce exact matches to the mother...

go ahead and try an open a clone only og thread on this forum... and watch all the cali connection og hybrids come pouring in.... lol

plants like animal, forum, ogkb, thin mint, alpine animal, jungle animal, eagle scout.... all specific plants..... and yea they sell a shitload real quick because they are decieving people by calling them by these names and getting pics of these plants as if.... most of the companies dont even test beans.. so they kinda gotta gank other heads pics... really an example of exactly how a seed outfit shouldnt be run imvho.....

your basically saying if i get a bitch knocked up... i can go ahead and send whatever pops out at birth into work for me saying its me and no one will notice a thing....lol
u get what i saying...

common misconception.... :)

So I think the answer to my original question is: it's all of those parents. There are obviously too many knock-offs to ever be sure what you really have. That, and everyone seems to think that theirs is the 'real' Cherry Pie.

What a clusterfuck.

oh man

someone is selling CS as a brand now?

go to any natural food store, go in the pill section and grab a bottle of CS spray, it's in the throat and nose section, cheap and hell, if you get a clogged nose you can use it on yourself as well

So I was just told the purple they used is "Purple Pain" in the Cherry Pie, not Urkle.

I've never heard of Purple Pain before.

Only the breeders really know I guess.

If what I smoked this weekend was legit CP, I didn't think it was any thing to write home about.

This is exactly what you DON'T want to do. You are basically just breeding a potential batch of hermie-prone seeds.

I've been making non-herm femmed seeds for about 10 years now with STS. When making stable femmed seeds the first thing you want to do is choose the females that don't stress-herm at all. Then reverse one using STS or whatever.

The reason people think that reversing causes hermies is that many breeders don't understand this important first step, so the offspring usually stress-herm just like their daddy did. It isn't the reversal itself that causes the herms, but the poor plant selection process.

It may not matter for your uses, but keep a close eye out on those offspring. :tiphat:
if we went by this thinking we would be without strains like....

the list is long..... just saying i think we should take a closer look at female cuts being used as pollen donors....

You either didn't smoke real Cherry Pie, or the grower ruined it.

Once you smell and taste the real-deal Cherry Pie, you will always know the flavor - it is that distinctive. And the smell in the air after burning it is like nag champa incense - similar to the smell that a pure Durban gives off post burn. Incense-like, a real head turner for anyone else in the room.

And the stone is a quick rushy "front-of-head" sativa knock... a tightening of the head between the temples and behind the eyes. Head-crushing when grown well... but not narcotic like the Girl Scout Cookies is.

Anywayzzz - keep looking, it is one of the very best, and much sought after for a reason.

Right on. The buzz sounds pretty similar to what I tried but there was no incense or durban smells and it was pretty short lived/not a very intense or strong high. Straight red fruit funk with a hint of some kind of sour that you could smell seeping through the top of a mason jar.

This is what I was told was CP

Good point, but all of those are known for throwing bananas, just as one might expect. There are some exceptions if you grow out enough of them, but late-term herms are a LOT more common.

That looks pretty dank, thats for sure.

Cherry Pie usually has some purple in the tops, I can't tell from the pics above if yours does.

This thread is officially on the NSA's top watch list for the abundant use of your chosen abbreviation for Cherry Pie.

Think of the children!

Hell yeah, I have never seen this thread, got my mind right with some coffee and mendo breath on IC before I cut the cherry pie portion of a room. Got to love the 50 day flower.

I grew some Urkle/Erkle S1s in early 2K and after growing them out and growing out 20 GSC S1 I definitely felt that PU was part of the make up of GSC, so many similarities.

I feel validated after reading this thread, lol
