buckets here is a little update of the poles as you call them lol. this damn rain needs to move on as it is making them do the Detroit lean as they say. she is filling out good and another reason the rain needs to move on. sorry the last pix sucks oh well you get the idea. third pic in the lower left corner yes that had to be removed. never would have imagined she would get some mold but low and behold. but in her defense i think it could be due to the nylon net she was resting on as it doesn't dry as fast as i thought. note to self next time buy plastic netting dumb ass

very christmas tree looking in structure. when the pollen was applied the flower seems to have split as you can see.

Damn, what a beast! I'm curious, what kinda smells are you getting from the Cherry? Tropical/Fruity, or Metallic Cherry?

its kinda hard to describe maybe a cherry lime thing going on i'm not the best at it but i think the further a long she gets it will be easier for me to tell but i guess the it could fall under the tropical/fruity thing.

she is a total surprise with her branching with the long colas on every one of them

Yeah, she's one of those that have a "moving" smell profile. Hard to nail down exactly, and changes as she matures. IMO, most fall under the Tropical/Fruity profile, with the real Cherry smell popping up less often.

Also, how long you let it mature, and how long you let it cure affects the smell.

The Cherry/C99 cross I did started out very Cherry after the chop and initial dry, but the longer it cured the more Tropical/Pineapple it smelled/tasted. I reckon that had more to do with the C99 daddy, as the pure Cherry never produced any pineapple smells in flower or after the cure.

Potency-wise, there isn't any difference between the Tropical/Fruity and Cherry phenos IMO.

And it yields like a boss.

here is the sour that i have . she is a chunky girl but i like it like that. the rain this month is testing her to the limits. all in all she is taking care of business.

i plan to take her to the limits before i take her cause i may never see a plant like this one again but i hope to. i made a bunch more of them so i need to make sure she finishes all the way.

Oh you will see it again. Greenegenes did a damn fine job of selection over the generations. You'll find some a little shorter, some a little taller, but all in all, very consistent overall. If you have a hand full of beans, you'll find another just like momma, for sure.

the pollen i used there will be a lot more than a handful. so i will be going thru a few for sure.

Every now and then, there will be a Spicy/Peppery pheno pop up. It tends to be shorter with tighter internodal spacing. You'll know if you get one. The taste is funky, in a good way. I only found one so far. Greenegenes said it pops up randomly. It reminds me of fresh cracked Black Pepper with other spicy notes. I preferred the other phenos, but it is not without it's own charm.

i'm going to hang in there to the end i just don't want to lose it to mold. this fucking rain seems to be a little more than usual. last thing i want to do is take her out. not my style. it was a hard rain for 30/45 min tonight and it was late so the moisture is on for the night

I swear I seen a video on YouTube showing mold on buds they just cut and they took colas and dipped it in like h202 to kill it than dried the buds

It's the powder shit not bud rot so hope u are not getting that mold and mildew is treatable hope this helps

well i just checked the sour and she has done very well so far. looks like i need to give her more credit then i was giving her. i took the main top off due to being infected but she is so dense i can understand it. i cut the mold away and put the rest in front of the fan so i will have a little tester to sample.

they are calling for rain again this afternoon so another test for her. if she pulls thru she will have no trouble in the future season's cause i think this season has been extreme.
