I'm waiting to see how Chem4/Chemdog D (It wasn't released,it was micro-bred,pretty much with CC's ilk in mind ) ....goes for CC,if all goes As Expected,there will be a new rockstar in town!

I've been looking for some chemdog D since i had her in n. cali last year, cut through the other stuff I was puffin'....threw the roof....can't find shit here in CO w/o having to shovel out bucks to fucks in the "med scene" for clones of questionable lineage.....I'll keep my head up tho. I know there are good folks out there...thanks again!

Crazy Composer- I think that the info you supplied here was probably the best, most sound, complete collection for the care and feeding of the cannabis plant for the true organic gardener that I've come across....
I have a mear fraction of the knowledge of growing cannabis that you have but have always felt that a really good organic soil was the corner stone for producing healthy, clean smoking organically grown cannabis. thank you!

Ive grown both the chemD and the Chem #4. Ive passed the chem4 on as i see it as the commercial version of the D.... im just in this for the smoke. The Chem 4 i would say is a bigger yielder and easier to grow, but the chemD is the one im going to smoke

ease of production: 8/10 (no points deducted for the variegation issues)
potency: 9/10
taste/smell: 10/10
yield: 8/10

Total = 35

This is my honest assessment of these two plants. Notice the Chem D gets a higher rating, so you can see I love Chem D immensely, but for my purposes and concerns, Chem #4 is better for production and safety, and Chem D is the better all-around smoking experience.

If I'm looking to get stoned with an extremely tasty joint, I'd prefer Chem D... If I want to get just a little more stoned, I'll smoke the Chem #4, but the taste isn't nearly as strong.

If I'm carrying weed in the car with me, I'd rather have Chem #4 because the smell isn't going to get the immediate attention of the 5-0... And I get just as high with the #4 as with the D... if not a little higher. So... #4 is good for getting gooned without attracting attention due to smell.

Another factor that takes away from the Chem D's appeal, for me, is that damned variegation, which can take a toll of leaf health, making for an ugly plant (once the leaves start dying from the variegation)... not to mention the inevitable stress the plant goes through by having to endure and heal this damage.

Ideally... I'd like to find a Chem D mother with better branching structure and no variegation... same taste... same high... just a better plant to grow. I'll smoke my Chem D at home, and take my Chem #4 with me on the road. I love them both.

I feel that the Chem#4 is a better breeder than the ChemD. This is just my opinion coming from my own experience. Every Chem#4 cross I have ever gotten has been killer. ChemD on the other hand seems to be a 50/50 pull of new elites and plain dank.

Brastaman, damn! That Chem 4 looks just like Chem 4! hehehe It's always heartwarming to me to see the exact same cutting growing in other gardens at the same time as it's growing in mine.

Art, all IS well. I'm searching for a Chem D replacement as we speak. I have some SFV OGKush x Chem D growing from seed. The point being... to find a replacement for my Chem D clone that yields well, tastes great, gets you as high as you need to be, grows and clones well, and fits all the general criteria for a great keeper clone. SFV OGK and Chem D are the right places to look, I would think.

I love the Chem D to SMOKE, but to smoke AND grow... I need something more like Chem 4. In the middle would actually be ideal.

How goes the PIff Haze quest?

The Chem D x SFV is bound to have so many killer phenos.. Thats a cross that i hope to smoke one day. Im sure you will be able to find something better than the Chem D.

Jeff, that looks like the real deal Chem 4 to me. Nice, heady pot. Sometimes I can't believe how high it gets me... like when I'm smoking that first spleef of the day. Gotta love that head.

i agree the Chem4 is SUPER SUPER heady. like some of the more heady weeed i have smoked... Maybe thats why i prefer the Chem D, because i typically like a more indica dom. high.. I like a hybrid with both head and body, but if its all Head, i have to smoke something else with it.
The Chem 4 is definitely some potent weed though. Like extremely potent, it must have a super high THC count ,cause it gets you hiiiiiiiigh. I Could see the Chem4 doing really well outdoors, id imagine her being so greasy dank.

Id say the Chem 4 is a better start of the day smoke, and the chem d is a better end of the day smoke.. If you smoke Chem D for the first bowl of the day, your probably gonna have a real lazy day.. Whereas the 4 does seem to be one of the better weeds for morning blazing

CC - It's going quite well and progressed alot faster than I had imagined. There are several close representations in clone form that have been found and collected. The Mango Haze cut going around is the Piff smell and odor when burned, but not so much the taste. The affect is very simular.
Then I have a phenotype from the earlier thread that I have kept. There was two, but I lost one or really don't want to contact the person I gave it to to hold. Not too much of a loss as there are 4 more new seeds from the local "puday".
I am in search of a good male that has proven recessive traits (I got that idea from you)

I've taken a bit of a holiday from the work of growing large numbers to select in order to take care of some like issues with my daughter. They will soon be worked out and the funds can be used to acquire the proper space for such an endevour. I still plan to release the first batch on Seedbay as soon as I feel they will actually produce what they are said to.

Art, I recently scored 3 haze beans from a batch that was absolute fire had that super church smell and taste and bag appeal was nuts bright green crystallize golf ball buds, the beans were beautiful and all germ and popped. About two weeks in they just wilted and died. I told the dude i got them from what happened and he told me he get me some good beans, I asked him how long they take and he told me 90 days, I can see why they get top $ for it.

CC, that haze is such a nice and different smoke, its the only bud i will spend my $ on. I smoked my chem 4 and have to say that I agree with you, its not quite the chem d but I rather grow the chem 4. It yielded well, has that chem smell tho not as pungent, had a great lemony chem taste, and the high was very strong. Overall a great plant
