Last s60 just showed its head. Still fighting for the surface, but it'll be there before noon I guess.
So, 100% germ rate

Brilliant...:dance013:

I'll pop 2 more BS in case it doesn't make it, so will be rewarded with a greater BS selection..
Win/Win situation..Kinda.

have a quick question for you CE. Are you gonna allow those guys to finish in those clear jugs? If so you are gonna have roots exposed to light, this might cause some adverse effects to the plants. one thing will be stunting if too many are exposed

Hello FullDuplex,
Its gonna be some time till the roots get exposed, but I plan to eventually tape a plastic bag over them, instead of taping them with duct tape. I can also take a peep whenever I want by lifting the bag. Cheers to hisser for giving me the idea :tiphat:

Plants are picking up speed in growth. Gonna give a good watering tonight.

Hello mates :tiphat:
Time for the weekly update.

Some of the seedlings have sustained a little damage over the last week since the water I had been feeding had a stupid pH. Have been feeding with properly pH'd water with an even smaller nute dose for the past few days and they all seem to have grown out of it and picked up some speed. I'm gonna keep a close eye on them during this week.

Looking good man, glad to hear that you have the pH issues corrected as this will kill seedlings quick.

Week 3

Week 3

@mossy
Hey bro :tiphat:, you just caught my thread at the end of the week, I am generally updating it with pics once per week, either in the weekends or on a lazy monday

Oh Boy,
I've been battling what seems to be a nute burn, even though I am barely using nutes. I've read around and it seems that I may be letting the coco dry a bit too much, not enough to dry the roots, but enough to drive the EC up since less water raises the concentration of everything.

I still want to confirm that this is nute burn, so your input would be appreciated. Some plants have taken it better than others, and especially the LR2 which barely has any nute burn signs on it and is generally the healthiest one.

The fact that it is in the biggest container, and that it is receiving the exact same mix as the others either drives me to believe that my assumption about the dryness is correct, or that perhaps LR2 in general can handle nutes a bit better. Any input ?

I gave them a good flush today, we'll see how they do in the next few days...

Group shot Week 3:

One BS is having mutie leaf growth. Hope it means it has some blueberry mutie genetics in it.

One BS has showed its balls at day 19! Is this an especially fast pheno which I should keep ? Or are bs males this fast in general ?

Things seem to be getting better, but I'll know for sure in a few days..

And damn, that BS male is really stinkin :p
Also looks like another male is showing today

C

I have a 2nd confirmed male :]
Also have confirmed that the LR2 Fem is indeed female, it's also had a small growth spurt in the past 2 days. It's started to pop a few small flowers here and there. Will LST soon, maybe starting today. Pics will be up when anything significant happens.

As for my nute burn problem, almost all plants are starting to grow again. The damaged leaves are drying up, but the new leaves are undamaged. I am guessing the plant is discarding the burned leaves ?

C

cyber echo

I did LST to the LR2 which sexed yesterday. Here are the results after a less than 12 hours of lst.

I have two bluestreak males that are starting to flower and one male that is still preflowering.
Of the two flowering males one has long internode length and less flowers and a sweet smell, the other is compact, denser flowers, and really stinky.

The nute burn stopped spreading, but growth has generally slowed down and even halted in some plants, especially the small S60s :(

The LR2 is doing fine though.

Hey man, glad to see some POT plants in your photos now...does NOT look like nute burn to me...I always get the ram's horns on the new growth when over doing the N...Whenever you see interveinal chlorosis (dark green leaf veins, yellow interior) that is an indication of Deficiency...how is your pH? Low Iron will often cause this type of chlorosis, but its availability is also closely tied to pH...so get your pH right, and your iron usually follows...that said, as long as the chlorosis remains confined to the lower fans, and does not start to show in the New growth, you may just be fine.

Any sex yet?

C

Roger that, I've fixed the pH since last week but it's going to take some time to recover I guess.

No sex on s60 yet(all 6 of em), as they are the ones that got stunted the most.
LR2 fem is confirmed to be female.
3 BS are confirmed to be male
1 Confirmed female
1 is taking its time, hoping female.

I am also going to give way lower doses of nutes once they start to recover.
Fingers crossed...

Transplanted the first BS female to show into a new pot. Used ERT, but I kinda built a pile around the exposed "cake" since coco crumbles way too easy and I don't wanna shock the roots.

One bluestreak male is having some color on his male flowers, not all of them tho.
I'll post pics later on today..

Here are the pics that were promised:

LST'd LR2:

BS Purple'ish Male:

BS Transplanted Female:

I am going to transplant the remaining unsex'd BS in hopes it is a female today.

Some sour 60s have started to show growth again, and the damage is not spreading. They've lost a week or two of growth tho, I hope they just take longer and not just wind up smaller at their harvest time.

Yo bro,
n hello all.

Sorry for suddenly disappearing. Had family visiting and hence toured Europe for the past 4 weeks non-stop, stopped yesterday. Ofcourse I was passing by every day or so to check up on the babies, but that didn't give me much time to tackle the problems this coco grow had from the start, nor update the thread as the camera hasn't been exactly in my possession for a while.

Anyhow, the grow was mostly a disaster, some plants didn't make it, and the ones that did grew into runts that barely produced. There was a serious lockout that didn't get fixed with 5 straight weeks of feeding correctly ph'd water.

Now the good news,
I've started another grow already, and I was able to make seeds from a lot of the females I had.

What seed I have:
S60 F2s
BlueStreak(BS) F2s
BSxLR2
S60xLR2

Still got some of the F1s too.

I haven't tried the seeded plants yet as they are still drying, but I did pop some into the vaporizer which had no problem vaporizing the resin off it, and giving a nice balanced high off mainly lr2 and bluestreak.

Now the new grow:
I have 4x S60xLR2 popped at the moment as a germ test. They have been in the soil for like 6 days so far and I was starting to get anxious, however, just checked the cab a bit ago and noticed two seeds have popped so far, so they started to germ today. I'll be popping some more soon, as for which strains, I'm still deciding.

Oh, I might be getting one EasyRyder(AutoAKxLR2) fem seed to use like I did with the LR2 fem seed.

New grow will use the exact same setup, however with coco at first then transplanted into Plagron Royalty Mix which is a bit hot to start plants in. After that will feed with biocanna nutes, so you can say the grow will be completely organic except for some additives I might use like Rhizotonic and SuperThrive.

Will update soon when I have pics worth posting.
Cheers guys
