Thank you Jhnnn. I called Metal Halide Shop to see if they had this kit with a 3100k bulb but didn't get an answer. Seemed sketchy. Have you purchased from them before?
At first I thought I could go with just the 4200, but the chart shows that the red spectrum is not well represented. Am I right that this may not be great for flowering? (I also don't think this is a Philips bulb, which probably isn't a big deal as long as it's not junk.)
plants dont care about cri. Why should you?I'm leaning towards the 4200k apparently have a slightly higher CRI.
I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with...
If I have a choice of using only ONE type of bulb either 3100k or 4200k..what would be best???

I'm looking at buying 2 maybe 3 fusion bright remote ballasts with silverstar cmh reflectors with Phillips bulbs.
Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
I Bought a used philips like the one in our pic. Work great for philips cdm-TP 830 bulb
Great price for 150w CMH system, Got used ballast for 20$ inc shipping and 15$ for a new 830 bulb and got a free used 942 bulb
Got my 150w system cheaper then DIY PLL
Thanks for answering guys I just tried to connect it all and it failed, the safety fuse went off
trowes could you please upload the photo on how to connect the wires with this ballast cuz I looked the whole internet and didn't find it and the seller on ebay doesn't receive msgs at all.
OK I'm a complete newbie when it comes to CMH lights. Was wondering if they can run off digital ballast. Like can I split my 600w and run 2 of the 315W cmh slightly under powered?
No. 315w lamps require special 100hz square wave ballasts. Other CMH lamps in general are designed for 60hz magnetic ballasts.
