I would've ordered the 210w package from Advancedtechlighting, but they never answered my emails so I figured they probably aren't very good at shipping either. Really too bad.

The 942 seems like an all over better option to me, The 250w Retro White which is about 4000K beats the 315w 930 bulb in trichome production. Either way I was going to replace the 250w retro white with the 210w bulb.

just had a similiar experience with another shop, finally responded to my email (with a question) 3 weeks after i'd asked. And to make it more discouraging, their email didn't have a signature with their website, so i ended up spending 10+ minutes googling to find their web

thought about it and realized, if this is how responsive they are BEFORE they've got my cash, what can i expect after

What's currently the cheapest place to get Retro White bulbs or the new 210w ballast+bulb for non-US customers? The only guy selling them locally charges 95 euros for a 250w retro white, which is completely ridiculous considering AdvancedTechLighting lists them at 36 dollars, if only this advancedtechlighting guy would answer emails so I could be sure he's still delivering items bought from his webstore.

you might try these folks - they seem to be carrying a lot of the CMH lamps, including down to 50W

don't show a 210W on their bulb page but worth a shot

they are a little confusing as the home page of their web is for Seattle Hydroponics but when you clik the "bulbs" product link, it shows up as "hydrotech hydroponics"

they show a "250-400" off brand CMH bulb at $110, but then a 400W phillips CMH bulb for $60.00

I mean I have made a 600w CMH arc tube, put it into ET25 glass bulb, it works with magnetic ballast, I don't how long it can work.

Then we have made electronic ballast for 860w Philips CMH....

It works well, no flick at first, but after 500 hours...

Philips bulb became like this, I think the explosion proof shell and two metal covers at two ends stop the heat dissipation. When the temperture more than 1000 degree, the bulb cannot work stable, lumen output and lifespan will decrease.

plants under the cmh are definitely stronger and tougher than the ones under the t5s, thicker stems than the t5 plants for sure... bigger leaves, internodal spacing is not stretchy at all, of course that depends on the strain....
I got some RD flo og that's pretty stretchy.... but the also very stretchy and nodey buddah's sister isn't getting out of hand under the boulder lite,
i'd say plants stretch comparable amounts to regular MH, less than HPS, and more than T5s in a good way...

Just went to a lil open house in Boulder and learned some more about their products...
aparently they are using an proprietary ballast to run the phillips bulbs, they told me their ballast drove the lamp in a more effiecient way and optimized it's potential in regards to spectrum & output. I saw one of the philips ballasts, runing a lite; to they eye the light looked the same, of course.

My HD did not have SO in 18GA, but the local McMc did, so I am all set.

sorry to ask a question that has undoubtedly been answered in this thread already, but my internet connection has been very spotty and unreliable...

what CMH bulb should i get for my 400w ers in the flowering chamber? i have digital and magnetic ballasts if that makes a difference. cost isn't an issue.

CMH bulb cannot work on normal digital ballasts, only high frequency or low frequency square wave digital ballast can work it.
Sometimes magnetic may work it if you are lucky.

has anyone fiddled with the smaller 150w cdms? seem to be pretty reasonable priced compared to 210 adn 315s. the g12 socket is easy to find too. to me the main problem seems to be the blowup-factor or is it something to worry about?
