Good job here DF, very excited for you and this project. Much love, this is what IC and our community is all about being generous and spreading the good seed.

In my experience with making seeds over the last 10 years, the male definitely contributes to the seed coats and as an example (same as mugenbao mentioned) I have pollinated several different strains over the years with Swt males and the vast majority end up with tiger stripes on them where the original female seeds did not have any and further ones made of the same strain using that same female parent (with males of the same kind) did not have the tiger stripes so unless it was outcrossed the tiger stripes did not show up so the only variable was the male used. If only the female was responsible for the makeup of the seedcoat then this would not be the case and the male used would not make a difference!

Therefore without a doubt clearly demonstrating that the male parent has a strong influence on the physical make-up of the progency with a different strain that has different looking seeds. This is why there are so many different looking seeds out there because of all the genetic recombinations between both parents. At least this is what my own experience has shown me not just what I read in a book somewhere or on the net.

Day 1..
Under 600w.
Medium is 3 parts FFOF,2 parts FFPM,1 part Pro-Mix,1 part ver,1 part per.
3 tbs. of Diatomaceous Earth per g.
Nutes are Age Old..grow,bloom,kelp.
5 of 6 have been trans to 1 g. smart pots...waiting on the 6th,germ'd but still hasn't popped up.

Truth is, this is just one of those growing projects that has had MANY hands in it along the way and I just jumped on board and sit filling a seat. Without the others before me, none of this would be possible...and without their spirits of generosity and willingness to let me play within their "private" collections and mix mash everything together...is once again, nothing short of an honor. I have dreamed of putting these two lines together since late 2009 and now finally, it is a reality!

This is truly one stupidly fun hobby!!!

By the way, I'm 8/10 in 24 hrs on some CBDB myself now!!!
