Why freeze it? I imagine you would be better off baking all your goodies and freezing them.

The cannabutter will last in the fridge for some time as well.

My cookies were pleasanty potent with 20 grams of trimmings and shake in a half lb of butter. I wouldn't go much heavier than that or you will end up wrecking the taste of your goodies. good eating all!

the difference is the amount of paranoia you will endure. Fresh buds have a tendency to make light or non-heavy-daily smokers too scared. I made a batch a butter with fresh colas. I used Sour diesel, purple kush, grand daddy purple, grape ape, romulan, and last and most of all OG kush! Froze off half the butter(so it doesn't go rancid) and the next year found it and was like hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!
So I gave to the girl next door to be baked for us, because my oven isn't working. So she came back the next day with my half and I was happy tasted super good! So 2 days later she come back over and gives me the other half of the batch and says I was to paranoid so you can have these back! I was busting out with laughter. Highlight of my month!

cannabutter has a 10 day shelf life it goes rancid easily and fast!

By the way I used 4+ ounces to 1.25 lbs of butter lol I went H.A.M. of it! lol

Saw something earlier in this thread about turning males into cannabutter...I just got done taking cuts from my 3 males from a recent seed run but I don't have room to flower them out now so I'm keeping the clones in stasis. Since I don't have much use for the rest of the plant now, any point in making butter with it? I've never done anything with males other than pollen chuck or kill so I don't know if they're worth the trouble or not. These guys are all quite resinous for what they are, though. Worth a shot?

YEs if you can add any other scraps of any kind it will make it worth the cost and effort

yes you can make this with any veggie oiled margarine orany other fake butter or even oil but fake butter is better then oil!

Cannabutter can last 10+ years in freezer. I'd invest in a seal a meal or food saver machine. Keep freezer burn out!

One of the people I have been helping out with meds. has been having trouble smoking or vaping so I made her some butter last night. I used about an ounce of outdoor bud along with 2 grams or so of ISO extract that had a taste and color I didnt care for to about 3/4 lb. of unsalted butter.
I just had to test it out when finished so I put some on a slice of toast with a little cinnamon and honey and it started kicking in about 45 minutes later. Strong stuff.

Betty Crocker peanut butter cookies. I substituted the required oil for a hefty dollop of melted butter. Baked at 310 F. for 12 minutes.

Eh, not really. My girlfriend does but I don't mind the smell especially when using flowers instead of low quality trim. I made some yesterday and it didn't gross me out.

to me it only smells gross when you use low quality trim and when it gets too hot! It smells gross for a reason at that point, because its being ruined!

Used O.Ps. method. Got great results. I made brownies and butterscotch oatmeal cookies. Two 1"x1" brownies made me feel real relaxed after about 40 minutes. I added one oatmeal cookie and it made me feel "high". I then proceeded to gobble down 3 more cookies because they tasted like normal cookies lol. About 15 minutes after eating those three I was done. I was baked. I slept really well last night.

I used the tops from my BC Big Bud in flower. There were tiny flowers all over but more leafy green than anything. I used a food processor to chop it all up into tiny bits.

Here's the thing that I didn't catch anybody using. Coconut oil. It's WAY fattier than butter. I used two HUGE containers of it and 8 sticks of butter for this. I had a shit load of trim. I had about 2 silver mixing bowls (the one in the pic.) full of finely chopped. I didn't bother weighing because there was just too much of it. The end result using the coconut oil tasted perfect to me. I could hardly taste the MJ at all. The huge wheel you see is what I have left after making over 50 cookies and one pan of brownies. Just so you know, coconut oil doesn't taste like anything. It looks like lard. There is NO taste and NO smell. Weird.
