Now that legal states have such stringent testing there is a huge influx of "HAY" smelling and tasting weed...

Producers have found out you can spray just about anything on their product and "wash" it all off with a high PH water spray or bi carb dunk and pass any test....

The problem is these methods strip most of the terps, hense the hay smell and flavor or very bland flavor. Similar to water curing...

Eagle 20 would not pertain to this practice because its systemic. But dont get it twisted, major producers are still using no-no's and getting away with it...

Or spray the fuck out of Zerotol the last couple of weeks and oxidize all of their terps resulting in no smell and about 30% lower production of extracts. But hey their ecsd is amber in 7 weeks...lol

Professional has everything to do with experiential wherewithal as well as a command of science. Bro science is a term for growers who think they need information qualified to some irrational minutia to full a lack of understanding that can only be filled through experience.

I see the same guys using the same crap and learning the same hard lessons because they are waiting for a science that couldn't study a plant because of legality to cough up answers it doesn't have.

how about people stop promoting a culture of risking health for the sake of ease and profit and put some effort into learning sound horticultural practices

I have stated before I entered this discussion to provide a counterpoint. Believe what you want without regard to reality. But then you don't need me to tell you that.

Full transparency, I started working with a new group a few monthes ago (well after I started posting here). I'll be going to hell for what I've done. But then the end justifies the means.

I believe I just heard veins exploding in your poor head.

Organigram used Nova after the approved fungicides failed to provide control. Probably for the same reasons, poor environment. Spraying a cocktail of Nova and Avid three days before harvest is just poor decision making.

While I hope the class action goes through, I also see how they came to that end. What works in rinky dink little grow rooms with high labour input typically fails on scale. You will never understand their situation, having never been there, yet that does not stop judgement.

with all due respect Weird, i find your way of posting unnecessarily antagonistic. you are no longer treating this as a discussion, rather everyone who joins in with any comments gets talked down to. i have no problem with the position you are advocating, but there is no need to be a dick about it. when someone talks about saving genetics, they don't need to be treated like they are spraying it 2 weeks from harvest. some people are here to just get knowledge, may be they had pm before or heard about how bad it can be. i for one have never so much as held a bottle of the stuff, let alone used it, but you assumed i was some how drinking it and pouring it on my buds undiluted, lol. in fact i throw everything out, only to realize i could have probably saved them with a one time clone dunking of this stuff. anyway, i still think we could turn these 40 pages into 2 pages of pertinent information, just a matter of collecting and quoting the best posts into a new thread. then we close it and sticky it only adding new info to it as it becomes available.

To be fair to Weird gaiusmarius he's been dealing with trolls and people advocating the use of this shit with no regard at all for safety. Hell perfect example right above your post with Mikell.

All you have to do is look through his post history in this thread to see he is the one antagonizing people trying to help spread REAL facts and REAL information.

It's frustrating when you're trying to get word out about this shit and get shot down by people like that who are just here to derail conversations and bury posts with well documented sources so less people know the truth.

We should strive to set examples for new growers like you said, and we should set examples for them to lead by to help legitimize this industry and keep our medicine safe. Discussion of these products is one thing, but some of these users blatantly disregard the safety concerns and just sing praise of its effectiveness.

Because as Mikell said, "the ends justify the means" for these people, they don't care about it being safe they just want to get to harvest.

We, and you as a senior staff member should be trying to set the example of what a responsible grower should be and shut the bullshit down when we see it.

Well respectfully all I can say is for someone who has dedicated his life to this plant I think being a dick is promoting a product like eagle20 or being part of the promotion of the product for use when it is clearly not required

it makes those of us who take the time to do it right look like shitty fucks who don't know how to do it right and don't care to boot
