I was too old to work on it and increasingly there was nowhere to drive it properly. When I bought it, I decided that I was going to do all of my own work on it, so armed with the Internet and a Bentley manual, I did. Amazingly well-built cars actually.

And on topic . . . yes, evs can be sports cars. Performance and handling are the only necessities. If you can't toss it about enthusiastically, then it ain't sporty enough.

Oh, in a dress. Well, I suppose that a dude in dress can be a good substitute for a girl. Just thinking about pies, popcorn bags, sox, showers with nice soap... if the need is great, substitutes happen. Why pick on 'just one' substitute? Do you really want to make babies with any of those? Besides, there are those who prefer dudes in a dress to girls.
What is it that you are looking for in a sports car? Looks? Speed? Noise? Girls? Envy garnering?
when i started collecting it was for the looks...
speed... nah... a late 60's/early 70's hemi/6pk is a dog compared to todays cars
noise...welll maybe a little... do luv the rumble .. that and loud music is prob why my hearing sucks
girls... nah... married 40+ yrs... wife would take everything ..
envy... in a way yes... in high school i used to see lots of guys with rich parents with their gto's , chevelles, mustangs etc... and all i could afford in 69 was a 63 plymouth fury 318, with 135k miles on it.. when i finally could afford some muscle... kind of went overboard with 22 cars... can't drive 22 cars, so they sit in a warehouse...

I'm truly happy with the two EV's that we've had. Grew up in an era when 'quarter mile' races were popular with the locals, relatives would race in the next state over. Excess noise really bothers me, now and I have arthritis...and found that going for a ride in a cybertruck was the quietest and softest ride in my seventy years of experience with any vehicle. The garage is way cleaner, now. Can warm up the vehicle(and power up) inside the garage without killin anyone. All that being indoors and not out in -50 F. wind chill is most appreciated.
I would say that some of the best features are QUIET and LACK of smell.
Oh, wanted to mention that the cyber truck is far more agile than it looks, the thing does very tight circles and is made for adventures in parking lots Jetra UZBK Car. Evil shopping carts whimper when they see it.

People resist change but it is inevitable and usually for the better.
"usually"...i'll buy that. there are lots of newer developments i would cheerfully argue the point that we are better off by having them. and i'll start with cell phones, compound/crossbows, and automatic transmissions... ;)

Belt fed and suppressors seem like progress as well.

neither are new. belt-fed is impractical/illegal for civilian use. seeing quite a few folks on youtube shooting with suppressors now. if i had used them when younger i might still be able to hear. i doubt they work on shotguns though... might be wrong. :dunno:

When locals discovered Compounds, you couldn’t give away a recurve. Had to add another layer of bales to stop the arrows. I had three fingertips that turned brown from pulling 70# or 80#. Switched to a release and got normal fingers back.

Had a party line phone and you picked up and said “operator please” when I was a kid. Tell her the number and she would plug you both in. That was a decent job then.

i've had two sports cars, both of British make. i also owned a nissan d-21 truck that would have put both to shame, either in a drag race or time trial on a curvy back-road, but... i could take the top off of the cars, and play with the gearbox while listening to the cherry-bombs roaring... and Nissan doesn't make anything like that (to my knowledge), which is what is required in my personal definition of "sports car"...
