can an electric car be a "sports car" ?

or is that an utter betrayal of the history, legacy, and some would say "soul" of sports cars ? my first car was an early Triumph, second was an MGB. they were never the fastest thing on the back roads, but you could take the top down and cruise through the curves listening to the roar of the exhaust! (i had Cherry Bombs) but now...Porsche has released an all-electric demon car that will hit 60 mph in 2.2 seconds and allegedly top out around 225 to 230 mph. scary fast, alarmingly expensive...but, a sports car??? is it ?

i'm doubtful about "individualism" for the masses long-term in the future. how many ways are there to allow for expression that aren't over-crowded (or illegal) these days ? music will always be open for business, ditto poetry/art. when AI puts us all out of business, and our basic guaranteed income checks show up, WTF is everyone going to be doing? sitting at home watching tiktok videos, fattening up on Soylent Green and waiting to die ? sorry, went dark there for a moment.

i used to work at a miliary munitions plant, making C-4 for the USMC. one building we worked in released the hot water/steam out through a pipe into a "wetland" outside. damn thing had dead frogs in it all the time...

dont see alot of ev out my way. out on a walk last year had one pass from behind normally ii can hear a car/truck coming that thing was dangerously quit wasnt till last second heard it made me jump out the way alittle probably doesnt help i high as shit sightseeing. somebody told me new model have pedestrian noise features on them

i have a hybrid that allows the ice and ev modes to run at the same time.

It shifts like shit off a chrome shovel in this mode.

It's not a sports car but feels like one cos of the raw immediate ev power.

Maybe it has in car engine sound, i'm not sure, but a sports car has to have that raw bass and treble scream you can only get from the internal combustion engine.
