This morning I filled up the pots close to the first leaves like I always do.

Don’t know how often I should post something. I will follow my motivation and will try to keep you updated with any progress or change on the setup.

4 seedlings look really well while 1 is not so happy. I guess in this pot is a higher share of the stronger soil or it’s just because of this Pheno isn’t so hungry. Hope the nutrition burning won’t go further…

Hey dear guys - weekend is coming soon. Hope you are doing well overall.

This morning I gave every offspring 2 min to get familiar with ;) let’s get the helicopter started…

#B1

BLD Type with trichomes on first leaves and a very first red vessel. Rounded leave tip

#B2
BLD Type with no trichomes and maybe a slight tending to red vessels. Sharp leave tip and a really short structure.

I am hopeful it will turn out as a healthy plant. I transplanted it yesterday and saw a really healthy looking mini root out of the root and carefully I buried it - today it’s nearly breaking the soil surface.

NG- Type with visible problems!

Soil:

I bought some regional soil because I am living in a peat region. I am not rating it now but for the bigger pot I need to pimp it a bit with perlite and some CM- Impulsive special ingredients.

Nice to see a few glands on a seedling. It's promising. The time until this is seen is sometimes studied, and is generally 20 days or more.

When the soil pulls away from the sides of a pot, it has lost too much moisture. Areas are drier than the day the soil came out the bag. A good method to monitor this, is weighing your pots. You weigh them when you first fill them, and never let them get any lighter. Each gram lost, is a ml of water. You might need 20ml a day, just to combat evaporation. Once weighing each day, you get to see a days water usage, so you can give it in advance.

If you can, fill another pot with fresh stuff, and see what they should weigh. Then see what they do weigh. I think you will need water to get them to match. Then enough more, to get them through a day or two. I'm guessing 20ml. Or as you have the scales out. It's 20g. Then in 24 hours, you will know how close my 20g guess was... as I'm not accounting for fans or your unknown temp/rh

Earth worm castings is a good product to add to your soil blend. I like to add 15-20% of perlite and EWC to my soil mix.

Hey Folks,

Seems like I am up for a small project :) last indoor attempt ist 2 decades ago since I am an OD only guy. But since I got gifted a few M39 F3 beans I thought it maybe make sense to have the possibilities to save the F3 as cuts! Everything starts with an idea :)

I have no idea what I need for light and Carbon filter etc.

My target is to hold some cuts of this years OD season.

I guess I will share the progress here and hope I can grab few advices. It’s early in the year so hopefully I can manage to have this box running till end of July :)

So 'cool' growing in a freezer!
Great insulation, white reflective walls -- but must take care of the air exchange and temps!

I once took the outer shell of a top-loading washing machine for my veg room, with a 150W HID on top.
Used to get hot in there, but seedlings and clones really took off fast in there.

Now I'm going to have to read this whole thread to see how you run it, haha!

Looks like the airflow and temps are mostly sorted out.
Watering ... if I may share some thoughts:
At that RH and small pots, yeah, they'll need frequent watering, and it'll only increase as they get bigger.
Worm castings are great, I use about 30%.
What about instead of individual small pots, you use a bed?
It'll keep the moisture better, because less surface area to evaporate from.
It will also give you maximum possible medium volume for your space/area.
Of course, means you can't move things are though.
You could maybe switch to that once sex is shown and males are isolated, spacing the females out evenly and giving maximum root volume for flowering.
Just some thoughts, hope I'm not out of line.

Again thanks for all your thoughts and share of experiences <3 it will help to sort things and take right decisions. I am not sure if I like all these measuring and scaling thinks - I am more on the intuitive site and unfortunately the scale is for the kitchen and I don’t I have a second one. But I have one pot with dry soil on the freezer and I know exactly how heavy it is ;)

ATM I have not the perfect conditions. Door can’t be closed longer then 3-4 hours or I will cook the seedlings. Hope next week will the cheap CF system arrive and then I hopefully can close the door without any Sauna effect. If not I will deep dive a bit more.

Next pots should be max 1 liter I guess. For last potting I plan to use the new bought rose pots. They have 3 liter capacity. For heights control I am planning on a Scrog Construction.

My yesterdays construction store visit way dedicated for some Ms. M stuff but I found this and thought maybe I should mix my soil with it.

After reading your comments I also ordered few liter of worm castings which I plan to add to my peat soil.

I will decide if I should add some cow or unicorn poop as well ;) depends on how the plants react to the soil in the next days.

from my feelings it’s a rich soil - regional power xD

Any other ideas or something else ?

Hey Folks sorry that I am not responding to anyone in a respectful way but at the moment I have not so much time to answer in a proper way. Live is hitting some kind of hard but I’ll try to manage as always. I am sure that our lovely „Kraut“ helps a lot to calm down and I love the introspective I used to get. Again stop yelling and just throwing some facts.

The worm Casting is ordered the rest is scored here and there xD I guess I am prepared now for the first potting.

The freezer has had no progress but the plants are growing :) seems like there is nothing to complain.
Y is death and sorted out but there is one new and I will call it survey :-D
