@bombadil.360 when was the last time you lived in california?

Everyone following the thread is well aware I cannot vote for auma and don't even live CA. They have also asked what are my motives then? To which I answered that my motives are that if auma passes, it will help a ton in legalization world-wide. If it does not pass, it is going to give the prohibitionists arguments to keep the herb illegal world-wide.

^^To me the better question would be, do you sell or call yourself a caregiver? I think I see a bias to being positive on 64 from people that have no skin in the game. Maybe they can see clearer?

20 years from 215 beginning, and now 64 is not good enough. Just wait a couple more years or 10, or forever if necessary for a really good measure to be passed.

bombadil I think you're spot on with this, yet we need to forst be concerned with what it will do for those in Cali?

Yesum I agree, if it does not pass it might be a long time before we see another. Though Federal legislation could be much sooner and that might be where we need to be putting the pressure on.

Here's another perspective from some of the authors of 215. I personally feel it's a fucking plant that has been used for thousands of years safely. Everyone world-wide should be allowed to grow and use it. One of the only reasons it's illegal and so misunderstood is Reefer Madness and our governments meddling with it.

every single person on here agrees that it should be treated like a tomato plant. BUT...WE are not average voters, and THEY do not all understand it as we do. until THEY know it as we do, it will NOT be treated as we know it should. the question is, therefore...WHY would ANYONE think it is OK for others to be arrested/fined/incarcerated for YEARS possibly, just to protect what THEY have going now? i find this position to be indefensible & morally bankrupt myself. no, people who need it as medicine should NOT be made to suffer. but there are folks worldwide that need that same medicine, and the freedom to partake of it when needed, medically or not. we need to take every single step toward that goal possible, & keep our fellow lovers of the plant from persecution...sometimes a step forward for the whole is a temporary step backwards for a part, but the whole is far more important.

Why do people keep bring up felony arrests and prison time? Auma will not protect you from that either way you slice it.

If you're committing a crime that could potentially land you jail time, that crime will still be illegal under flop 64 and you will be facing the same punishment.

Im not much for polls but a recent poll shows support for this measure dropping by over 6%.

I wonder how much better the the laws will change if it's voted in, in the state with some of the strictest gun laws, some of the highest income tax, gasoline tax, water tax, sales tax, electricity tax, while remains to rank very low to other states on roadways and schools. With the most billionaires and people living in poverty than any other state.
I hope for the best for you guys.

Its hard for someone from a different culture to see where you stand on certain issues....being a multi-generational farmer myself definitely gives me a different view than you...the bias I see with pro AUMA guys is not living in california, or just recently moving here....

I start the clock at prop 19.... cchi will be on the ballot in 2018....

yes I'm aware of where you're from.... I'm just making sure other people that jump into this thread realize you're spouting shit off from random Google searches and don't have the slightest grasp on california politics...

We'll know on Nov 2nd along with handful of other states. I would think the tax relief would be a welcome change in California. However it's diced, it won't solve all the problems California has.....or maybe rewritten statutes. Time will tell....soon.

stop with the scare tactics, that doesnt happen in california, our prisons are too full

why do you keep bringing up California? yes, i KNOW that is where THIS VOTE is taking place, but it will affect the whole nation, not just your state. it is not the only state in the country, people in LOTS of other states DO go to jail/lose jobs/families/homes for simple possession/growing. if Californians have to take a temporary step back to help everyone else move forward, i say TOO BAD! you are not an island unto yourselves, stop pretending that you are. those opposing legalization are the ones using scare tactics. we have got to move forward, or we will all move backwards. yes California, that means YOU TOO.

You know After California voted No on the last Legalization proposition, Washington DC, Colorado, Rhode Island all legalized?

Not really valid argument...

California is the elephant in the room, the 6th largest economy in the fucking WORLD, domino numero uno, the "big Cheese" as it were. when it falls, there will be a hell of a lot more states go with it. momentum is EVERYTHING! i think it is a VERY valid argument whether anyone else does or not. :moon: when it becomes rec legal there, the federal govt will be forced to get off of their useless fat lethargic asses and pay attention.:woohoo:

To me this is the exact reason to vote no on 64.... if the rest of the state's and the world see us take it in the ass on a bullshit legalization bill, they'll follow suit and think they can screw everyone.... we all know legalization is right around the corner, it's how bad they fuck us.... that's our choice....

I really do believe we all want the same in the end as far as this plant....but come on guys, really?

^^^at the same time I do see where this is coming from....being in a state like Tennessee anything would sound good.

and NY, and Texas, and Kansas and so forth
i personally understand the grower view point here, and don't blame you
you're voting your wallet, that's how it is
it's your turf and the thought of corporations getting the action is a hateful thought
but remember, you become what you hate

Just a load of assumptions....
