apartmentblower,
Let's address it right now....
If you look at the sketch, you will see that there is a wall separating the grow room side from the rest of the unit. This is exactly as the unit would be if it were hanging in a window, and the grow room portion would be inside your house. This portion is also divided internally and there is no connection between the cold air that is being re-circulated on the grow room (house) side of the unit, and the coil side where the hot air is.
Since these areas are separated from one another, the air does not mix between the two ever. And this allows it to NOT be able to pull air from the cool side, which means it can't pull out any Co2 that is being recirculated in the grow room.
You don't see window AC units sucking out the cold air of the house do you?
The reason this turned into a shit fest is because the op didn't want to discuss his design, he only wanted to call it spectacular and had no room for any critique. And besides that he is a personal friend of Ed Rosenthal, and will get him to vouch for him. (another laughable crock of shit from another pompous ass kid from CA.)
I hate to see new growers, who have not studied these things, take the words of Bozo's simply because they don't know better.
The reason I did an AC thread last year in the first place, is because at the time the best AC tutorials this place had were centered around doing exactly what this guy did, and I knew it was a clowns move that would be a mistake to make. I felt there should be a better tutorial, plus I was researching the thing for my own purposes.
And if anyone sees fault with my design, I will gladly discuss it. But, if all one wants to do is make hollow statements such as it will suck out Co2, just be ready to back it up with something of substance. Not simply throw it out there and hope it will stick.
