C13 Club

Right on what about light escaping through the vent......I read earlier about someone using a dark room vent/ Ya know anything about this.....the cab will be in me and the wifeys bedroom so gotta keep it light proof.

will do.......gonna look into the dark room vent also, but if its too expensive i'll go with the dryer vent.

ya got any advice as to using C02 in the cab?

No worries....I am very familiar with setting up C02....Just thought someone might have a heads up on using it in mills pride cabinets. Im going to buy this dark room vent with a fan in it, set it on a timer 15mins on 15mins off and have the C02 run when the the fan is off. I'll post pics from begging to end starting next weekend. Looking forward to starting a grow diary.

I was wondering where the c-13'rs were hanging. I hadn't run across this till now. I am on my 6th grow in mine. It is a 400w hps , Maliboo floor vents and a darkroom vent I will attribute to Simonc. (that ought to get him to post here) And a 4" Vortec vortex fan blowing into a 4" SIS homemade carbon filter. Very simple. Works great.

Sumo you told me you were working with a 400w instead of a 250W but I forgot to ask this....what are your ambisent temps?

I can not keep my ambient temps below 75F for money reasons and I too use a 4" inline but it is an Eco-plus (170cfm) and temps in the cab range from 80-86F in the lower part of the cab while closer to the light it gets up to about 90-95F.I plan on upgrading to a 6" 449cfm (supposed to keep temps like 3F above ambient).

Maybe it might have to do with the fact that my passive intake is low on the wall adn the fact that I only have one (4" x 6").

Thanks Fat Puta. Jnugg. I grow in a basement with ambient temps from 68-74f depending on season. When measuring cabinet temperatures I have read to take them in the shade so you are measuring true air temperature and not infrared coming off of light.80-86f sounds good to me and if that is measured under light then thats even lower in the shade. Are your plants happy? If so ,then why worry about 3+ degrees over ambient. 4" x 6" sounds like enough intake also. Keep it simple and complicate as needed.

Yeah sumo is right; digi meters get affected by direct light and give false readings, keeping them shaded helps give a true temp reading.

Not all digital meters get affected by sun light just the cheap ones (the ones with the sensor exposed).

I agree About the digi temps those things go wacko 8 inch from the light. The Dark room vent works really nice SIMONC gave us a great tip on that one. Here is my c13 all I need is the beans (looking for RENE).

Technically i dont have a c13, But my cab is of similar dimensions. I cut my to bubblegum ladies down a few days ago. They were chopped at about 58 ish days, they could probably have gone a little longer but i needed a harvest.

Raygun, are those 'bio-buckets' ? Grats on pulling that off in a small area.. it can be a PITA. I ran a similar setup in my c13 last year until it flooded my floor... atleast i was home though.

nice buds all

damn... good looking cab... temps are a bit high imo for running a 400 in a daystar ac with 449 cfm... i'm running a digital 400 watt hps daystar ac with a 449cfm vortex as well..... though i use a vaportek optimum 4000 so the scrubber might be the difference...
