Nice cabs everyone. I thought I'd share mine, it's not a c13 either but the c24. I wanted it to be able to some day house two 250hps so that's one reason I have two ductings. I'm running a 600W hps in a pyrex cooltube with a DIY scrubber, and I'm growing in DWC with powerheads/water pumps instead of airstones

Here's some ak48 and bogglegum i had going but the ak48 stretched past the celing and the bogglegum were males so i started over with the BRM's below

this is what I have going right now, Blue Moon Rock F2s

Here's my C13. This is a week by week pictorial. Yield was 5 zips of great medicine. I'm sure much more is possible but it will last a long time.

What height are you guys finishing your plants at?

The main problem I see in most c13 , c22 , cab grows is the wrong placement of the light.......I really dislike cab growing as its not optimum at all.

First off, that cab is soo stealth.....nice!

The situation with the light placement, I have to kind of disagree. I have my light hanging the "proper" direction front to back because we all know that is how a reflector works (by having more light disbustment comming off the sides), however due to the overkill factor it makes little difference. You will still achieve the proper lighting either way, with a 400 that is. If someone is using a 250, then I would definetly suggest hanging the "proper" way.

As for cab growing not being optimum? I believe it can be very optimum, you are just limited to what you have availiable. You can grow great grade A bud in a c-13, the problem is people try to do too much with them. My temps/humidity are optimum, c02 levels optimum, rez temps optimum (well for me at least haha) no need to buy a chiller for 4 buckets imo. The only restraint really is space, and still in a c-13 you can grow some tall bushy bitches. Granted you will prolly not grow 10 big bitches in there, but whatever style you choose it can be done nicely. More plants sog style seems to be the best bet for c-13's, however I prefer tree style. This gives nice full big buds. Don't lose hope for the cabs!

Great to see this thread picking up here. I've had mine for about 2 years now, but I wish I had seen all the info on some of the newer deisgns you guys are doing as I'm constantly changing it to do better with such little space.
I'm using a 250w hps with a 4" inline fan to cool the box down. After my last grow I decided to line the whole inside of the cab. with black/white poly since I was getting some pretty bad light leaks (its hard to seal it up 100% with weather stripping), this works for now.
I'll try to get some pictures up this weekend, to make my club membership offical :sasmokin:

Great work there! how many watts are you using in there? And those look like 'perfect pots' ,ya?

400w hps. The containers are 7.5" squares that hold 2 gallons. 12 fit nicely into the C13.

Shmokin, nice grow.

Thanks for the stealth compliment. Im glad you have your light in the proper position, but I still kind of disagree with what your saying even with a 400. The overkill isnt going to make up for even distribution of light. You will have a very hot spot in the center. You see how icough2getoffs light is postioned in the above post, thats what I call improper or less efficient i should say, sorry icough2getoff, you probably have your reasons. I notice in my cab at the moment that close to the door and back at the wall in the corner, the two spots that on the tip and base of the bulb is getting way less light. Directly below the bulb I keep short plants and on the sides I keep them taller.
Well as for optimum ,, I know we all try to do our best at that. I just liked open space far better when I had that option.

the couch ,
Im going to design my new c13 or store it all 24" cab to be as most efficient as possible. Using the maximum of space. First off the top shelf is going to be relocated to be able to just fit the ballast and carbon filter , exhaust and electrical. Maybe 10" from the top minus 13 or so inches for 2 10 gallon totes. So about 45 inches of grow space utilizing the side lighting of the cooltube.
Im going to runn training wires down the two 24" sides and the back wall at about 4 inches to keep them close to the walls and kind of have a vertical scrog going there. and underneath the bulb will be a trained grow about 12" form the bulb maybe closer. Thats the plan for now. Im deffinately going to make sure its built right before growing in it , lots of problems with my current cab and height issues, changing while growing sux. I kind of thought that it would be hard to seal with weather stripping so a false inside door with stripping will probably be an option too.

Sealing a mills pride cab with weather stripping is not bad at all....just take the doors off and adjust where needed...

The weather stripping I had worked fine for my first few grows. When I first set up my cabinet, I followed Maliboo's instructions pretty closely with a few minor changes. I'm sure If you took the time to replace it and re-adjust the doors every 4-6 months it would be fine.

I know this is all about the c13 cabs...
But check this out, 4x4, steel framed, black tarp covered grow cab. Not so stealthy, and a tad expensive if you can't find a better deal.. they're nice though :) I'm fixing on one of these after my next grow.

buying a c24

buying a c24

The equipment i have already is:

1. Vortex 465 CFm inline fan
2. Sun Systems 400 watt metal halide ballast
3. Sun Systems super sun reflector with the glass insert to enclose it
4. Hortilux bulbs: metal halide and a conversion HPS
5. A Variable Speed Blower Control
6. And soon a C24 cabinet.

Will my reflector deal with the heat as good as a cool tube that i see people using? Can anyone help me out on the designing of it cause overgrow is gone and i have no clue how to set it up.......

I've always grown in my own home made set-ups by using 2"x2" lumber and black and white poly plastic for walls, size of room has always been determined on how much space the wife would let me use in our bedroom. Once I used half the room lol but kinda was overkill.

I have no clue how my 400watter will do in such a confined space.....I will be buying a C02 tank so i know they can handle 90 degrees temps and the C02 will lower the air temps also......only got 1 1/2 weeks till the build PLEASE HELP!

With a 465 CFM fan u should be fine, try to put your exhaust close to your light and your reflector should be fine. I have 325ws of HID and have no problems with temps and I am using a 130 CFM blower.

BTW here is my next box design

Sweet, thanx for the reply. How about the intake holes for the ventilation I see people put on the floor? I also hear people reinforcing the back wall also. Can ya give me a run down on all the specs where the holes should be. Keep in mind im going to run C02 so I gotta run the ventilation accordingly.
