all the time mate , they are very common here , usually see a snake a week , sometimes many in a day ...
but i am careful and i dont try to pick them up or kill them ,, most folks are bitten trying to kill snakes .. i quite like and respect them , they have their place here ...

yes stoned silly ,, im amazed how friendly the carpet snakes are ,, the one in the tree did all it could to keep clear of me taking its pic ,, i moved into the front of it and had the camera right up to it , it just moved over and tried to go around ...
recently had to get a scrub python out of my dam liner , man it had some weight to it ,, had to help him out by lifting his body up a bit so he could climb out , just 8-10 ft long , but very very heavy ...
WOW a fat 8ft scrub.. Not to common since they are tree snakes, but when you are on/near Q Island then you see alot of them. Those fangs are hugh (biggest of any python).. Mine is just a baby at 5ft and faster than me to a unmanned bong lol.. He can strike like 4ft away for a tree branch amazing snake. Tho all animals are special to me..
