yea i saw the bweb post for potters.

ok maybe i will inquire with charnel about possible options regarding the fine. and damages to property as well, however i still think that trying to tackle the permit process beforehand is better, if they dont give me fair process than its MORE ammo for me, and shows how development services are being discriminatory! that last word is very important to me right now!

also knowing the level of corruptness the county is capable of, i would imagine trying to fix the permit issue after sueing them would just make things much harder to deal with them. i really want to push the "compliant property owner" angle, if they dont give it fair process than it exposes them even more.

Throwing a few more 45 gal pots out my self today. Fuck em. It will all be under a framed real greenhouse and not just a plastic hoop house.

raids in cherokee today. my permitting guy was down at county this morning and said they were gearing up guns ready and had the trailer with them that they fill with chopped plants.

county is pulling some real BS with the permitting process. basically told my guy "we know they are going to grow, so we can't issue any permits outside of 50sqft" LOL….so now they are a court of law that can presume someone guilty prior to issuance of permits? county wants to play that game, lets see what the lawyers say about a discrimination lawsuit.

does anyone know the building code for HVAC? they are claiming that we have "too much AC" and need to remove some. WTF bullshit is that? what if I'm heat sensitive and need a very cold environment for my gym? what if i am growing mandarin starts and need the AC to cool the lights down. Butte county has NO FUCKING SHAME, they are taking measure A way to far and now won't even let people trying to come into compliance do so.

hope this county fucking burns to the ground one day…can't move out of here fast enough.

Saw the white plane over the flats this morning flying low.

Just saw a white chopper with black nose and red tail. Not sure who that was.

tanks got the idea - win the PR battle. i know of a few billboards that are for rent too.

i love the billboard idea. i want to do some kind of billboard with all the CE and sheriffs with their clubs and guns drawn staring at the viewer, with the captian "Welcome to Butte County, Californias finest police state" or "here to check for your plumbing and electrical permits!"

All wars need to be fought with money, especially the propaganda stage. However with measure A they have taken our biggest financial resource, no big crops means no big funds to fight the county like we did with measure B when growers were flush. all the smart rich growers moved to humboldt or oregon, most of the guys left are the ones who didn't have the financial freedom to setup shop outside of the county. would be nice to get even 50-100k cash infusion from some political source to fight this nonsense starting with websites, billboards, media outreach, and an organized meeting. Yubas group has spent about 70k to get to where they are now, butte has a long way to go.

Here's something to consider for the state battle. I copied it off the ypc facebook page. People should really call in. You don't have to say exactly what's written. If your unaware, we have know for a long time the EGA is a false profit orgabization. The leader, Hezekiah Allen was a land owner of a parcel that just got busted. He had 1000 plants in a total 86000 plant bust recently. There was huge environmental disregard.

We support AB 266 but plant counts must go!

Assembly Bill 266 (Bonta) passed out of the State Assembly on a vote of 62-8. Over the next few weeks this bill will move through a few key policy committees and critical decisions will be made that will have dramatic impacts on the future of our farms, businesses, and communities. AB 266 passed with The Emerald Grower's Association's support--not because it is perfect, but because it included exciting policy features like a disorganized and confusing multi-agency approach, prohibitively expensive business licensing, and massively restrictive setback limits that are sure to drive all patients who live within city limits to the enormous illegal cartel grows in the north as they are no longer allowed to grow their own medicine.

Now, with just over a month left to finalize the specifics of the legislation it is time to rally in support of critical amendments. Take action today!

Who to call:

Assembly member Rob Bonta, Author AB 266

Tel: (916) 319-2018

What to say:

Hi, my name is: _________.

I am calling today in support of AB 266. I care about medical cannabis because I am a: (farmer, patient, concerned citizen). I want to support the Emerald Growers Association during their time of need as they are being investigated for their involvement in an enormous and environmentally damaging 86,500 plant grow in Humboldt County. I wanted to thank the Assembly member for his leadership on this issue.

I strongly support provisions in AB266 that establish prohibitively expensive business licenses and a burdensome multi-agency regulatory framework.

However, there is a significant problem with the legislation that may make the entire bill unworkable: the existing plant count limits effectively prohibit the leaders of the Emerald Grower's Association from producing to their full potential, so that they may more fully profit from their coercive monopoly. It is critical to the success of this legislation that plant count limits be removed from the cultivation licensing section so that the leaders of this organization can make more money from their third-rate outdoor larf.

Thank you for time and for your work on this important legislation.

P.S. I am curious about your willingness to endorse an ongoing criminal enterprise, with Hezekiah Allen as the kingpin, to create a coercive monopoly of the medical cannabis market in favor of cartel growers at patients' expense.

When to call:

Sooner is better!

Why to call:

It is important to the democratic process that our community express our support for this landmark legislation while calling for specific improvements to our coercive monopoly.

I'll link the newspaper articles if anyone wants

Clearly it's written sarcastically but the point is that one of the main proponents is pretty much cartel. It shows the assembly is in bed with the huge purely for profit grows.

Measure B had approximately $110k in support, alot of which came from auxiliary service companies, eg grow stores. For $50 and a couple hours of work you could put together a very professional Squarespace site - Squarespace requires ZERO technical skill - which could then be used to shop for donations from these auxiliary service companies and fellow growers. I imagine Vermicrop might be intereseted in supporting their own backyard and the very people that made them who they are - and what is a couple thousand dollars to a company that was just acquired by Miracle Grow.

The issue would be how do you attack Measure A - is it an economics play, an invasion of personal privacy, 4th amendment play, a discriminatory practices play. With a website you could really do them all. Drive traffic to the site via billboards buys.

Feel free to DM. I've got some time next week to get moving - this has went on long enough.

Any icmagers that do web development willing to donate or work at reduced rate for the cause?

I have some experience with php, WordPress, chopping up basic templates in photshop, running servers, etc. It's more hobby end but I'd love to help the fight. What are you looking for? Hit me on PM if you prefer.

Is there any campaign being put together to send mailers out to the addresses in the county logs? I really got to send a CPRA request to the county to try and get submitted complaints, will be interesting to see their fee request.
