chopper was out HARD TODAY. they flew forbestown so hard you could hear the buzzing from town, three of my homies properties got flown today in the northern foothills near lumpkin. they were out in the strongest force I've ever seen today. 4 SUVs parked at lakeside at 9am, a friend told me they served a warrant at another friends neighbors house, got them on camera and everything. apparently the place was empty so they basically wasted their entire morning. they went in, took bolt cutters to the doors and came out empty handed. i also have a photo copy of a warrant served at another friends residence that i will post more details of as well of what exactly their process is.
helis arent a garunteed check right away. i know a guy who got his GHs flown almost 3 weeks ago and nothing has happened since.
keep your heads up guys. its easy to get discouraged, but look at the compliance check as them showing their hands early. you get checked, go into compliance, get the permits you need to be legit, then fire back up. or be pre-emptive, get your permits in order first and just put off any growing until later in the season. if you can show them your empty property and show them that every single violation from electric cords to plumbing is in order they have no reason to come back. just tell them that any smart pots, GH frames, etc are all from last years tenants it works every time they have no proof.
I'm hoping to have some good news tmro in regards to a 2016 initiative and lawsuit appeal update, i think this is our best bet for now. dont give up on butte just yet, butte county is seriously broke right now they are having financing issues on police staffing the new south side oroville annexation and are looking to divert money away from something, hopefully measure A checks! also the investigative report is starting to get formed and the team is super super interested in this issue, we have an EXCELLENT story, government corruption is a hot topic right now, i mean some anderson cooper/VICE style shit that is gonna make the county look like absolute crooks and hopefully swing some public opinion.
i had a very lengthy convo with my lawyer again today, he says to hold strong. at the end of the day this is CIVIL and you ARE NOT CRIMINALS!! just dont be an idiot and get every shred of BHO and sales evidence gone, take your stash and hide it 3 counties away. these guys are not pursuing criminal matters unless blatantly obvious. they are also not even caring about property owners or any paper trails, at the end of the day the citations remain fixed to the property and the biggest threat is a tax lien.
i recently heard some horror stories out of Mendocino and some other counties in CA that have it much much worse than Butte. in Mendo they show up with a woodchipper and cut your plants on the spot if you have too many plants, no abatement process or warning. and they press criminal charges on top of it. In Fresno/Madera, they are citing property owners hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines. like the YPC motto said….WE ARE A NUISANCE NOT CRIMINALS!!

guys if you are getting flown PLEASE GET PICS. i talked to three people who got flown and no pics! come on guys we need to get the heli pilots in hot water over their low flying antics. isn't the regulation 150 ft???

THIS IS NOT TRUE. the typical story is "if we get a warrant its gonna cost you 1800 in admin costs"….this is NOT TRUE. they only charge the admin costs if you become a hardass and ignore the abatement process, the initial fine is still only $500 bucks. if you are served a notice, pay the 500 right away, and show compliance right away. get the building permit process started early and they will leave you alone and move onto new issues. than after that you are pretty much "abated and in compliance" and you can still salvage your season with a late planting.

argh so pissed none of my boys got pictures. my homie was chillin in his pool and said they hovered at 100 feet. he has his 200s filled with some of the nicest tomato, blueberry and tea plants that they will waste their time on and theres also a little trap set for them hehe. they are gonna have to trespass through another property (with a vietnam veteran with liver cancer living there) to get to him and might be a good lawsuit issue!
does anybody know if seeding your crop right as they hit that early june pre flower will automatically keep them in flower all the way through? i remember last year, i had some ones that triggered early, i seeded them and they finished in august but I'm just wondering if my results are normal. my homie there has no plans for growing flower he wants to make seeds and ice water hash. a prominent seed company has offered him a great wholesale rate on seeds for the european market that will pay more than flowers!

Yes Sunfire, you are the master of the obvious, I realized that article was from 5 years ago - way to pick that up. Their is already a Butte County Economic PAC that is strongly against DA Ramsey...lets see if you can connect those dots.

yea...i know a couple neighborhoods with no plans to change course.
its either pay the $500 or risk ballooning it into thousands. i know it sucks but its the easiest way for me to get back into the game at this point. pay the fines, get proper permits, then they can't do shit and I'm untouchable. by not paying the 500 you give the county the chance to make the big bucks, aka charging you 1800 for the warrant, ballooning the fines into the thousands, and tax liens against your property which is what they really want!
also the thing about not paying the fines and making them sue you in court was one of the tactics pushed by the ultra libertarian crowd and every lawyer i have talked to about that says its terrible advice. you pretty much put a big target on your back with that. if my property was only worth 50k i would just rack the fines up and walk away. however i got alot more than that tied up in multiple properties, I'm kind of a sitting duck for getting sued right now.
its all good man, this is the art of war. let them get their measly 500 bucks, that won't even cover the paperwork costs or the hourly costs of the 6 deputies that wasted 2-3 hours each searching through garbage lol.
tankerton yea man same here, I've been put in contact with some of the major players behind a possible 2016 initiative. we will be meeting very shortly and than i can use what i learn to bring in the rest of you guys and we will bolster the ranks.
While I agree with you this may be a real concern it is also may be illegal and these are the things that we should be suing about.
A. State law and Butte county law say two different things about nuisance abatement. State law says you are allowed 14 days to clean up a nuisance your self while butte says do it with in 3 days.
B. Due process affords you the right to an impartial hearing officer and an administrative hearing. I have heard, and this is conjecture, that they don't even have this process set up yet. So how in the world is it legal to fine some one a 1000 dollars a day until they are ready to give you your due process. Additionally Tim Snellings is not an impartial hearing officer.
C. Also i believe I read that weren't allowed to fine you until you had your hearing under state law but that might not be correct and I have to look into it.
The ordinance looks unbeatable on the surface but the ways and means they apply that ordinance can definitely be picked apart. Their is a reason they want you to pay all that shit and thats because if they were required to give you due process before fining the shit out of you this ordinance would be unenforceable. It would cost the county way to much and they know it. Thats why they are scaring the shit out of everyone right.
Look at the Fresno case that Brenda Linder had. She got Jeffrey Dunne on the ropes and he dropped his case. I think she is the only one who has been able to do this. I honestly wouldn't mind paying her a consult to hear what she has to say about some of Buttes policies. Their is a reason Jeff Dunne dropped the case and thats because he didn't want a judgment that would sink his ship.
Also they aclu just warned a bunch of counties for doing a similar thing with traffic tickets.

yea man its pretty fucking mind blowing. they use the inspection warrant which barely needs any probably cause apparently, yet execute the inspection warrant in the exact same fashion as a criminal search warrant. they detained my friend and forced him to stand outside while they searched every single space on the property. took a hammer to the storage container too. they gave up on the garbage pretty quick when the cat litter and stale beer smell came out.

were you at the meeting tonight? i was talking to Jeff and he mentioned your story about the gate being cut. we have several seeds being planted for a class action lawsuit HOWEVER, this is no group effort right now. everybody needs to take the issue themselves and separately, once people file for administrative hearing individually, then we combine forces after their false verdicts. if anybody has been cited for marijuana cultivation under measure A you need to contact Jeff. my homies citation doesn't involve anything remotely marijuana related so i can't do much right now. however we have a nice trap set for them up north, they are gonna step on the wrong property and get sued with the quickness.
