Sorry, didn't mean to throw a page break in the update. You really get every drop of energy out of your bulb. I'm gonna have to get a bigger footprint.

Alfred Hitchcock was not only a director. He liked to cameo in his movies. In The Birds, Hitchcock appears in the opening scene, walking his dogs on leash.

Useless trivia, lol.

Haha now it makes sense. Thanks for explaining and I dont care about the post between the updates I just went back to see if there was a post snuck in there and there was :tiphat:

As far as the footprint I know you told me your footprint before but you know how our (stoners) memory works with things like that but ya I would say definitely 3-3.5 sq feet is real nice for a 150. My tent is 3.75 sq ft but the sides suck in a lil bit when its zipped up from the neg pressure so its more around 3-3.5 probably but it uses the potential of the light alot better than my 2.25 sq ft cab I had the 150 in before.

There is still a little more than 1/3 empty space in the tent that the 3 SWT#4s are going to go in soon we will see how many females I get from the 3 but any good male will be kept somewhere else for pollen application purposes. :)

I also have a GHS K-Train (OG Kush x Trainwreck) that is a week from seed too. Just started it for the hell of it so we will see if I can cram her (feminzed) into a corner.

Also almost forgot to say that the RP OG Kush is supposed to be '91 Chemdawg s1 so it is the clone only that was selfed to make the fems. I dont doubt this at all since seeing my structure and comparing it to other pics of the clone only it looks quite similar. Just wanted to say that I noticed 3 or 4 nodes on only one branch that had hermie parts at the preflower areas of those nodes. They had both male and female parts on the affected preflower areas so I pinched them off didnt see anymore bananas so I am leaving it in there for now but if she keeps throwing nanners shes gonna have to come down so there will be no OG Kush s1 x SWT#4 this round but I have another RP OG Kush fem and 11 or 12 more SOTF SWT#4s in the seed stash so it may still happen we will have to see...

Good selections and info. Here's to hoping she doesn't throw any more ballz.:)

I have ~2.48 sq feet and that's roughly 60 wpsf. However, I learned the hard way that bulb proximity is trickier to dial than merely closing the distance. I'm planning a sog next grow and distance won't be the prime agenda. I rarely get an even sog so placement will make a difference.

IMO, you get great results w/o having to block light from the periphery. That's been my challenge with the smaller footprint, low ceiling and cool tube traversing the space.

I've been growing almost 6 years and the old school idea says distance is key. This is true but the wrong plant in the wrong spot might deprive light from others. I'm beginning to see that 60wpsf might not pay off like a larger footprint.

With the exception of light-sensitive strains, I can get buds within 2" or less from the bulb. But this doesn't seem to produce any more than 4 to 6 inches (provided there's a full canopy w/ strategic placement.)

One of these days I'll quit fucking around and get a tent or a wardrobe.

3x SWT#4 IBL day 21 from seed and the K-Train (fem) day 8 from seed.

picture.php

The SWT#4s were topped/FIMd after 4 nodes each.

My veg cab totally sucks. 14" x 17" footprint and 12" or less from floor to lights so it is tiny and has 4x 14w cfls for 56w of cfl goodness in there.

edit: Oh yeah and the exhaust for the veg cab is 2x 60mm PC fans running at 6v on an adjustable voltage adapter. This thing is super high tech, please dont try to build something like this without proper skills LOL (just kidding obviously)

Thanks man the Chemmy Jones really is an excellent strain!

You have smoked the Damn Sour before? I only had one lone fem seed in my stash sitting around and I figured Id give it a whirl and see what I get. Hoping for something good but not sure what the expect from her.

The PE is real nice IMO. Not overly potent or overwhelming. Has a good amount of potency though and has good smells and flavors. If I had to guess her genetics, I really think it is some sort of tropical fruity strain x trainwreck. It is stinky but not super skunky. Smells tropical fruity, trainwreck-ish, with also a strong smooth vanilla smell and flavor to it. Has a nice up happy euphoric high to it great daytime smoke has body effect to it but it isnt a couchlock you can smoke it all day and not need to take a nap but you get pretty high and goofy from it. :blowbubbles:

I think it is a pretty nice strain and it was a pleasant surprise. Nice freebie! :tiphat:

Day 24 from seed today for the 3 swt#4 ibls.

They are too big for my veg cab now so they got transplanted after the first pics were taken and are in the 150 tent for flowering. Tonight will be their first night ever and itll be a long one for them. I have been vegging under 24/0 lighting with this mini veg cab to keep stretch down and so I dont need to run a timer.

Suspected male is in the middle in these pics.

The suspected male plant is this one here.

The third swt#4.
album.php

This was the swt#4 that started out from seed with purple stems. Has the purple striping on the stems like a candy stick and purple leaf stems.
picture.php

The last couple pics show them crammed in the tent with the DS SC OGK and CnC. Tight fit but I am near 100% positive that atleast one of the 3 swt#4s is a male since it has two tiny preflowers developing looks to be a male preflower. The questionably male swt#4 I only transplanted into the same size (2 gal) grow bag with more soil in it. The other 2 swt#4s I transplanted into a little over 1/2 full 3 gal grow bags.

SWT#4 IBLs start of Day 4 12/12. Still almost positive the middle one is a male and the pheno on the right with the purple on the stems might be a male too. I really hope I get atleast 1 female out of the 3. I have the worst luck when it comes to regular non-feminized seeds I always seem to get almost all males...

The two suspected male SWT#4s have been confirmed and removed from the tent. They are being put outside. Hopefully its not too cold for them at night. We are at the average temps for this time of year here daily high mid-low 60s and the lowest low for the next 10 days is 39 with an average low in the mid-low 40s. I dont have anywhere else to put them right now so if they make it long enough for me to collect some pollen great, if not than damn that sucks. Hoping the 3rd one is a female.

A piece of plastic makes a BIG difference should temps become problematic. Another things is the short days may shorten the life span of the plants. Being annuals, they could flower and die off.

You could take a cut or three and put them under one 24/0 cfl to forestall flowering. But I'd love to have your winter options to learn more about maintaining males through winter. 24 degrees f predicted in my area tonight. :elf::freezing:Best wishes.
