u really think this kid who slipped up on the first interrogation is gonna be able to stand up to another one once he recants, much less make it thru trial, without retracting his retraction??

Some states won't let u retract a signed statement unless u can prove distress. u can, not testify to the statement in court but u would still be admitting it into the court record and facing perjury. that my understanding.

still think he is screwed either way. he should have never been close to that grow for everyone's safety.

well since he implicated himself, he can always plead the 5th in court can't he?

I HATE RATS. You better hope the two guys dont turn on you and tell the police you was the leader and money backer. Or you was the guy that sold all the weed. Many options of how the could snitch on you just like you did them. People that are 18 need to just smoke weed and leave the growing to grown folks. The could charge you with a conspiracy to grow and sell easy.

He shoulda done that after the cops reminded him to -- "you have the right to remain silent" There you go, the cops just reminded him he could plead the 5th immediately, and he had to have signed something "waiving" those rights.

when you enter prison, everybody will know thru transcripts that you're a snitch.

and your papers always get checked !! county/state/fed it does not matter
chit even the CO's will drop a dime on you if your a kiddie toucher (not relevant in this case)
far as i know even cops don't snitch on each other, pretty much puts a snitch on the lowest rung of the ladder :asskick:

Make a stop snitchin sticky, JJ ... telling people to use their rights and all that for these young folks. Explaining how law enforcement scares people to get them to snitch.

I know the dude is wrong for snitching, but I think a lot of people don't understand their rights and get really scared in the heat of the moment. So maybe something that fully explains everything will help someone in the future.

"i slipped up and said that i had bought from the guy"

you mean you slipped up and said you bought from YOUR BUDDY....

that guy... ha. Wheres your loyalty?

Oh, and i bet his parents were like "yeah you better do anything you can and call the DEA agent that gave you his number"

Bet he thought he was cool with the "DEA phone number"

thinking he's gonna get off easy.

Thats not a bad idea....

^^^^^ i'll second that idea or third it whatever. TOO many people don't really know their rights, especially under interrogation.

a reminder. I don't know can be used against u. say nothing! just like u were caught by the enemy. Drivers License and lawyer. all the words u need. maybe phone call.

again saying u don't know implies there is something to be known, they will get u thnking backwards and catch u slippin. even if they don't, they can and will tell u they did. then they will ask u to admit to it.

NEVER ADMIT TO ANYTHING WITHOUT A LAWYER EXCEPT, ur name and that u want to call a lawyer.

There's a show on A&E that is called The First 48... you can see how interrogation works.. lot of snitches on that show. It deals with murders though.

It's a cops goal to do all they can to get you to admit to something. It makes their job much much more easier. Then they get brownie points for your stupidity... and then.. they go to dunkin donuts and high five each other and laugh it up.. and then they feel on top of the world.

Don't give them the chance. Use your head people.

Damn,

I was 15 when I got busted with pot with a friend, couple lbs. The pig came in with a portfolio filled with pics of me and my friends, yep cholos. How'd they get them and when, who knows. Right when he started asking, all I said was "I want my lawyer". The pig picked up his portfolio and left the room. Thats all I ever said. Even then I knew that rule. Its just one of those unwritten street rules everyone knows. His age is NO EXCUSE. Once a rat always a rat. Sucks but true. Finally, my friend ratted me out. Cool thing about getting your record erased at 18.

Don't be surprised if he goes into witness protection. LoL

And make it a MANDATORY read before posting if possible. Not like there haven't been a gazillion threads relating to this in here. Some people, like the OP, probably don't bother to look in here until they already have a legal or security issue and by then it's way too late.

Ya. Like how it's supposed to be mandatory to read the TOU before joining? That's works well.....

Speaking of the TOU I thought it was against TOU to solicit other ICMAG members for the purpose of buying, selling, and giving weed. I recently noticed in the med forms where a mod is asking other members for discounted weed. Is it allowed because they live in med states?

Yes, I know what you are talking about. Med patient to med patient...Still a grey area regarding the TOU... I don't like it personally...kinda one set of rules for some and another for others here buuut... it's not my site, so if Admin is ok with it, nothing to be done.
