I have found a place to attempt a tree line hedge grow. It is semi-urban right off the side of the road. Its all wooded on the side of the mountain and there is a thicket running right through the center of it all the way to the bottom of the mountain. I scouted it out yesterday in the rain and man its so thick that you can't even walk through it without literally taking a few minutes per step weaving through the briars and brambles. I'm assuming if I cut out brush in the center of this thicket that it would be easily see from the choppers.

My plan is to get in the tree line where the trees meet the thicket and work from inside the tree line and clear about a foot or foot and a half into the thicket from the line. About 50 foot or so and bring the brush into the trees and hide it somewhere under a thick pine or cedar. This allows me to work without leaving a trail to catch the heli pilots eyes. I will leave a bush here and there to keep it from looking so obvious down the stretch and then dig about 35 or so 1 to 3 gallon holes along the strip.

This is the closest grow i've ever attempted to the road, but I have an old hippie friend that doesn't talk much about precise locations but says you would be greatly surprised around here how much he and others get by with along the side of the road. Now I know why during mid September how you can smell patches along the road everywhere you go lol.

I will also try to get some updates of the clones I set out on June 1st and put some pics up.

I would also like to add that this particular side i'm planting on gets all day direct sun from about 9:00 am till dark. Thanks to google earth for showing me this before hand and after scouting it was definitely correct. The other side faintly gets sun. :dance013:

Sorry that it has been so long since I have done any posting on the journal and I apologize for lagging on pics as well. I do most of my work in the night, because every time I go during the day I always get caught up in fly overs and it scares the shit out of me. Have almost been spotted a few times by choppers so day work is no longer my line of work.

Anyway, I have some good news! I put some clones out on June 1st and they are so far doing very well, some places they are located in have grown up a bit and have been doing lots of trimming to allow more sunlight to the plants. We have had more rain this year than previous years and it has made things grow like mad! Most of them have started flowering now and are towering about 4 foot tall. Will be ordering large tubs of green cure soon and will start applying next week.

Have still been putting lots of smaller plants and seedling out as well and will continue to do so till about August 15th.

I got a very late planting start this year compared to my usual planting date and i'm used to 6 to 9 foot plants at this time of the year but I will tell you something that blew my mind. I had 4 Kalashnikova clones that I had in one gallon containers for about 2 months that were pretty much bonsai's that I planned to use for mothers. Well, around June 20th I decided to put them in the ground and just let them do there thing. I had dug 3 foot deep by 3 1/2 foot wide holes and mixed soiless potting mix as well as some regular potting soil and water crystals in the holes. I went to check on these last week and it is by far the largest plants I have this year.

I will try to get pics but these plants are extremely huge bushes. Literally. They are about 6 and a half foot tall and the nodes are stacked on top of each other. They have many wide and long branches everywhere, looks like the bushes or trees you see growing in Cali in the 500 gallon smart pots. I never imagined a plant would get this large, in that little time, not even tended to. This is not a stretchy plants by any means, they get plenty of sun and are vigorous. I will have this strain on my to grow list next year as well. I top dressed them with some water soluble MG (it does work well for veg, just wouldn't recommend during flowering) and about a cup and a half of epsoma all purpose garden food.

I would love to share a pic of this girl but this is the only spot I have that is definitely not accessible during the day. I could get a night time pic and see how it turns out but they just dont look the same in the dark.

I had flowered a clone of that same Kalash out indoor in a 3 gallon container and it had nothing but rock hard dense buds from top to bottom and some powerful smoke as well. Almost 3 ounces from a one foot tall plant. I am scared to know what it can do outdoors! I'm very excited.

I will be back soon hopefully to update again. Keep it green!

Oh, I was wondering if it is too late to start spraying regalia on the plants now. Or is it something I should have started a long time ago? I don't know much about it.

Thanks for the update, mountain! Sounds like you'll yield pretty well at least on a couple plants. Its amazing how fast these guys can grow under the right conditions. Espoma seems to be a great fertilizer. So ya throw a little MG on there too. This is the time of year you want to push them a little... Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the pics. :)

Hey guys, long time no post. I've been so busy with the grow, my family, work and just everyday things i've not really had a lot of time to do most posting. Hell, i've still been planting up until last week, although now I am officially done lol.

I do however think I might relapse with the idea of being done, I know it is late in the season, but I am currently searching for an area around here that is covered well with green brush and vegetation up into the cold days of November. What I plan on doing, if I can find one within the next 5 or 6 days is, build a 4 foot high hoop house or maybe even lower (due to security) and dig a foot or so down and do some sea of green beds beneath the pvc tubing and plastic. I have done this before in February and it worked out great!

I cannot use that same spot anymore due to me giving this area away last year though. So I shall begin my search in a day or two.

Anyway, now that things are slowing down I will begin taking some pics and showing you what exactly is going on in my grow this year. In about 20 minutes I will be heading out into the bush to my "Goliath" plant, a single, that I have not checked on in a month. I planted this root bound clone in mid June and upon time of transplant it was almost 2 months old in a one gallon container.

I cut the intertwined roots loose and sort of broke up the clump within. My uncle told me, this plant is rootbound, it will be stunted. I said hell with it and gave it a chance anyway. Thank God I did. It went from a one foot tall hardy, lanky, bonsai plant into a 6 1/2 foot bush monster in one months time. This is no lie.

That was a month ago so i'm very anxious to see what she is up to tonight, I will feed her a blend of rich nutrients, a secret mix of mine tonight upon visit. I will also take and post a picture upon my return home. Keep in mind, its dark as hell tonight, so not sure how it will turn out. I have noticed that pictures taken of plants during the night look much smaller than those of the day, but I will place something beside the plant for reference.

In that one month time, I never fertilized before checking on her. When I did check I gave her a dose of light nutes, this time I will give her a HEAVY dose, she is large enough she should be able to handle it well. She is in a 4 foot wide by 3 foot deep hole in native soil amended with a local organic potting soil (3 cubic feet of soil added to this hole) and water polymers.

For all I know I could return and she could be gone, she is large enough if the helicopter has spotted her, she will be gone. But i'm keeping my fingers crossed. I currently ran a clone off her inside and it yielded huge buds but the wait got tiring as I ended up for the first time getting freaking spider mites and it totally stalled the flowering. The buds were still huge and for some reason did not have any smell. The high was decent but nothing to go crazy over. Again, I think and assume this is due to the mite infestation.

The strain is Kalishnikova. All I know is she is one HELL of a yielder!

Off I go, wish me luck!

Sorry, will try to upload a couple tonight. In my opinion they turned out shitty and I figured there were no point in putting them up. But I will. Hell I had to trim the bottom almost half of the plant away. Things had gotten grown up pretty bad in the short amount of time lol.

I still see it producing a bit.

I will have some nice pics of some other plants that I can visit during the day soon, not too fond of flashing my cam on the girls while they are sleeping.

lol damn u was still planting out! a whole bunch of shit happen since u been gone wit me. i dug up and transplanted 4 plants all lived and are n full flower now. i been using Regalia, aspirin, insect frass and B-52 weekly to keep SAR induced. i have also been using a product called vitazyme which has brassinosteriod and Tricantonal among other things and holy shit man it turns ya plants into super freaks. ive been growing the Dela for a while as u know and this year its already 3.5 foot taller then it was last year at the end of the season. i think the combo of SAR/ISR induction along with vitzyme has did wonders for me. my Dela that i transplanted is gonna be a monster producer. its actually got the biggest buds now of all the other 3 delas i have out. i got a plant from s.a.n.n.i.e named heribei and it will be done in about 7-10 days. im gonna start the flush with flawless finish next time i go to water. so far i have not seen any signs of mold on any of the plants yet so we shall see how it turns out. update with pics and dont wait no month or 2 before u pop back in here..gl

Thats awesome that clone got that big in 4 weeks! Over a foot a week! Its all about the rootzone. The happier and larger the roots, the bigger the buds!

Looking forward to the update. Good luck finding a spot for the hoophouse! Cool idea. The earth will help heat it! :smoke:

Hey guys, back for a little update after sometime of promising pictures. I'm going to start taking more photos now that I am not so busy and pretty much finished planting for the year.

I didn't make it out of the bush this morning until after sunrise which i'm usually out and gone by then. But this location isn't that bad. I had to do an emergency tie down on a California Hash Plant that is in a fence row and was just showing her tits to the public on the side of the road lmao.

I got her down enough to conceal the beasty top but still getting all day sun. Hate tying them down this late into flowering but it is totally worth it.

Here is some pics before and after tie down and the best I could do with my camera on a close up. This is one of many Cali Hash Plants, planted in mid june at 6 inches tall, never watered and fed twice.

Enjoy!

Had a few more closeups but for some reason they did not upload? Anyway, notice in the first pic how close this plant is to the road. Not even 4 foot, maybe 4 and a half. I didn't take any pics of after tying her down, but thought I had.

Looks like last week when I fed her I might have gave too much P. Don't know what else would be causing the yellowing. But the buds are super healthy thus far and looking like she has about 3 weeks left before chop.

The sweetest smelling bud I've ever smelled. Smells straight up like bud sugar and reeks very much.

This plant is much larger in person, the pics don't do it justice. Mighty excited they got to this size, especially as a guerilla grow.

I will have more pics of more pants soon!

Keep er green guys!
