Grown in Denver last year..18 ft x 13 ft room 60 plants under 6-1000 @ 4.25 average...

here are a few pics of the Bubba S1 that i kept from the last run.
this one grow from clone - has quite a cheesey smell to it alongside the bubba. Very short stocky plant and the buds are incredibly dense, quite inconvenient as they are very hard to pull apart.also looks and smells very much like the Garbyville Purple Kush ive just run for the first time.

Does any cheese flavour come through when smoked?

yes, not as much as UK cheese.. but definitely a savory cheesey flavour there. possibly a little stronger than the pre-98 cut too.

bobman - ive managed 1.2 gpw with a very well vegged plant... most times its been just under the 1 gpw mark with my scrogs.

would love to see other people's pics of there bubba S1s... there must be a few out there ;)

Katsu's cut of bubba is gorgeous. Will be interesting to smoke those s1s VG. The only bubba I've had was CBGs Peyote Purple and I think it must have lost some of its bubbaness in the inbreeding selection.

Will be harvesting sometime next week, I think. Just waiting for cloudy to show me about 5-10% amber.

^ looks nice. the general shape and structure look quite bubba-like. it lacks the 'stripey' purpling that you usually see as bubba ripens... sounds like a good plant either way though.

I have a couple of S1's vegging.

pheno #1

pheno #2

They are both fairly uniform, pheno #1 has a bit narrower leaves then pheno #2. They seem to be growing at about the same rate.

Are you speaking of purpling of the leaf in stripes? I can't vouch 100% for the origins of this cut, but it has the coffee/earthy/hashy aromas (strong) that I associate with Bubba...

Thanks for chiming in.

Pheno #1 looks more like Bubba...

All from the same plant, Calico...just different light exposure, etc. I'm 99% sure it's bubba...whether true pre 98 or S1...hard to tell these days.

This one could have used an additional feeding, so the leaves yellowed up a little early. Not sure if that effected the striping as it were.

Oops, realize the pheno reference was for Lubda.

I clipped a bud from the Bubba a week or so ago to check trichome structure. Left it to air dry with no cure. Sampled today. Coffee, berry hash and soil aromas. Flavor was pure kush, Chemically mentholated. Will be so much better matured and cured. Effect was actually pretty good given the early harvest and lack of cure. Pretty mind boggling. I found myself standing, holding a seedling needing watering and just high plains drifiting. I'm accustomed to the cerebral sativa highs and this one was muddy as fun.

Nice grow Pure

Nice grow Pure

are those 600 watts lights?

I really like how you did the ducting and the inline fans.

How long did you veg them for.

I use to grow that way in 15 gal pots and trees....sometimes I

miss those big trees.

I need to re-configure my hoods to allow for ducting out the hot air from the lights....been a project for a year or so....the heat is a killer for me in the summer month....even with my mini split on full blast......thanks again for those pictures....give me some great ideas.

Nice grow you got there.
