I watched all 3 seasons on netfux last year. Never saw this on tv. I like the HD so skipping the online stream. Catch the 1st episode of 5 and risk a spoiler alert or catch up on season 4 first.. Decisions.. decisions.. Net emailed that season 4 is out last night so this may take a few dabs till my mind gets sorted

i never studied enough humanities to know, but the dramatic arc of BB is all about loyalty between Walt and Jesse -- what is the classic predecessor (Greek?) for that theme?

Didn't it seem like there was less run time on this episode? Usually, after the opening scene, they run the title credits with the bongos and the logo. Then it went right into the next scene, without a commercial. This one ran a commercial instead.

They probably had to make room for all the AMC promo spots, or they've got more advertising dollars this season.

It pissed me off when he said he forgave her, and showed her sympathy because she was hurt about dude being in the hospital..... sooner or later, he'll get him a blond hair, blue eyed, big titt, stfu young thang... hopefully.... but I digress. This first episode was a bit slow but I guess they have to wrap up the events of the last season. I too am so sick of Skylar's BS. She's all against it when Walt tells her what he's been cooking, then when she sees mad cash she's all into it, then Walt kills Gus and she seems kind of out of it once again. Hopefully her and her psycho sister both die at some point. And Walt buying that huge gun hints towards him going Rambo on someone's a$$, perhaps the Germans since they show them in talks with the DEA giving their full cooperation. No matter what happens I believe this will be another great season.

Walt looked so bummy in that scene in the beginning! Long ass hair and all skinny. Now that Hank is back hobbling around I predict something very big going down between him and Walt in this season. I'm honestly kind of glad he's no longer bedridden because he was fucking annoying last season, I'm surprised his wife didn't smother him with a pillow

ok so they confiscated a picture of gus and his lover, yet they had no idea that this routing number was hidden behind it until after it was magnetized and damaged? why would they take this photo? im guessing gus had many other random things laying around that they could have taken, but they just so happen to take THIS photo? come on vince!!!

also, i KNEW that Ted Benneke was still alive... i called it as soon as it played out, and i believe i even posted it here! im gonna call it now and say that walt dies and jessie becomes the new kingpin....i mean, he HAS learned a LOT of stuff from some very smart guys.

I got no problem with the photo being confiscated. Why would they take it, and not take other stuff? You're assuming that they didn't take a bunch of other stuff, probably because it wasn't shown, but I'm guessing they take ANYTHING that might prove useful to building a case. Regarding the photo, there is another person who they might not know who it is, and the case might be helped if they find out who that person is. There is probably a shit ton of stuff that was taken from Gus' belongings, they just didn't bother to show them in the interest of moving the story along nice and crisp.

I don't think the evidence had been examined to any extent at this point, this is why they were in a hurry to wipe that computer hard drive with the magnets. I'm sure it would have been discovered once they started combing through the evidence.

Anyway...that's the way I'm seeing it.

ahhh ... thinking about Skylar and her meet with Ted, at the end of the visit, as Ted is pleading for his life, she gets a wiff of power, dramatic expression change as she goes for being so sorry for what happened to Ted, to considering when it would be proper to whack him.

And Skylar is the reason Walt started down this road to begin with. He will never ditch her.

Pictures are very helpful to cops in making connections between people. In earlier episode Hank found out Jesse could be involved with the meth because of a picture he found in Combo's room after Combo was killed that had both Combo and Jessie in it when they were at the strip club together.

Yeah, skylars a nagging b!tch that most of us would have gotten rid of already. Walt told her "I forgive you" to show is power over her.

Walts ego will be his downfall. The opening in scene is a flash-foward were he supposedly turning 52. In the "pilot" episode of breaking bad walt turns 50, as shown by the breakfast where Skylar spells out 50 with the bacon. Currently Walt is still 50. I believe episode 4 of this year is called "fifty-one".
