Those electric sewing scissors sucked balls... I quit using them after about 5 mins... lol Next time, I'll try electric sheers... The electric sewing scissors don't have the long pointed blades like fiskars. Electric sheers are expensive, but I think they might be the trick... Gotta find some with a cord, cause a battery won't last long enough.

LOL....they make these sewing shears that are super sharp and cut REALLY fast...I saw a really old hippee dude up in the hills using them to trim and YES he had a long cord and extension on it, just sitting on beach chair on his deck one HUGE ass platic tub of two foot long buds and his trimmer with a joint in his mouth that tub he used, Ihad it in my signature a LONG time ago here on IC ..let me see where is that pic???

i love the thinking about the electric shears. we were bsing about those and the big trimmer last week trimming od.

on another note. i saw your were leary of the aero cloners and the problem some people have with them. i run the ez clone 30 and have only had a problem 1 time (well maybe 3 times, but not plugging it back in is more of an operator error!)and learned an easy fix from my horticulturist bro confirmed by mutiple members here. the biggest issue i've seen with the aero's is the slime and salt build up. i had the slime and a 1/4 tsp of hydrogen peroxide per gal in the res and i never had any issues again regardless of time of year and/or temps. during high temps i see they roots form a little longer then in ideal conditions, but have never had anything go longer than 14 days (hard to clone strains in summer). my bros have had all sorts of problem loosing multiple 120 site clones. a few even stopped using them because of their probs. the biggest thing i saw with their problems was not cleaning their res's after each use and not adding the h2o2. i run a diluted bleach solution for 2 days after each run and clean my sprayers every run also. i've been cleaning the res and sprayers every run and adding the h2o2 and have had 100% the last year or so.

Hmmm, I haven't had any issues with my aero cloner yet, but the h2o2 seems like a good preventative measure. So far I am 24/24 in my cloner, I will soon have more plants than I can veg... Guess I could always take them down to the dispensary.

To me it's getting a detailed trim that takes time... aiming, carefully poking the micro-tips into the herb... that's what takes time to trim, but it's also worth it when you end up with A+ product that isn't notched down with a lazy trim, or hacked up by automatic moving parts.

I am renting out my trimpro this outdoor season and opting to do the ~20-25 LB harvest all on my own since help isn't available... that's about the best example I can give of the difference in quality.

Your ops have too much work go into them to not just have a buddy come over and help you knock it out.

I just want to give a big "Thank You" to everyone that's been helping me through my cloning issues...
I remember back when I was a lurker, yamaha_fan1 was in my position now. This guy didn't smoke, he was purely a cash-cropper. He had other people test the quality of his product. Anyway, he had way more issues with his grow than me... When he took his clones, they were all fan leaves! lol... Anyway, this isn't to razz yamaha_fan1 (I hope you're doing well if you're still out there bro). The point is the members here at icmag got him on track.

Thanks guys. I put together an aerocloner with misters... and I didn't like it. Some spots were getting more mist than others... and the micron size just isn't small enough imo. I went back to the foggers. I thought about why it didn't work the first time... and it came to me. The fogger was in too small of a reservoir, and the heat generated by the fogger didn't have enough time to dissipate. Once the H2O2 was gone, the bacteria were free to do their thing...

So... I made a bigger fog cloner... and I'll be sure to stay on top of the H2O2 every 3 days... I cleaned everything real well with bleach before I put cuts in. So... 7-10 days, right?

I have more cuts to take.. some going in perlite... some going in coco/perlite. This shit is gonna happen or I'll go mad in the process.

Thanks for chiming in... This is exactly why I don't want a trim-pro or spin-pro... I've watched the videos, and the buds get all molestered. It looks terrible. I trim 2x... The first time I just want most of the leaf removed so I can get the buds hanging. I trim them again once they've dried and the sugar leaves are crispy. I find that they snap right off with the fiskars fairly easily at that point.

Have you ever used the bonsai hero or seen someone use it? I watched the guy in the video stick his fingers in the blades and it didn't cut him. I cut my finger tip with my fiskars. lol... The machine isn't strong enough to cut stems, so i think that if it caught a large enough piece of bud, it wouldn't be able to cut that either.

Anyway, what's $540 in this business? baby-shit. lol... I'm gonna buy them for my next harvest. SoQuick used the cheaper model, and he loved them. The worst thing that can happen is that I end up renting them out or selling them to get my money back.

I disagree with your cloner decision. If only because I'm a recent (and still honeymooning, perhaps) convert. I hope you at least give it a shot with what you've built. OR, conversely, make the necessary [in your mind] tuneups to what you've built, and then try.

I'm telling you, bobble, mine has literally been plug-and-play for the 15-or-so cuttings I've run through it. 100%. A buddy has been using the same setup for 12+ months, no cleanouts, and is still at 100%. To heed DHF's warnings, I figure you gotta be safe to run a mild bleach through it between runs, or to add some H2O2 to the general getup.

Whatever your choice, good luck, but I'm telling you, this is where it's at. For me.

lol.. silver, the fog is putting the moisture into the air... just like the mister would. Different ways to skin a mule... What's important is that I follow the same advise given for the aerocloner with misters, and keep the pathogens under control. The fog is true aeroponics, and ideally, would be more easily taken up by roots, b/c the micron size is so small. The temperature will stay lower b/c there is more water. My test tub did well up until the second week... and like I mentioned, I think it was too hot.

I cleaned the larger tub and the foggers with bleach, then I replaced the water and added H2O2. H2O2 disassociates pretty fast, so I'm going to add it back every 3 days. I will get my clones...

Fill them all up, and see which one has the best results under the same conditions...

Aero, perlite wick, coco, peat pucks, with and without domes... I know you'll get it done, just wanna see one of those pods rocking the monocrop and walls of buds!

I can relate with the cloning issues ma man. I built an "aero" cloner specifically for my octo-thinga-mabob. I hate it. Same reasons you mentioned. I'm usually batting 100% in my bubbler, 95% with peat pucks and even 80% with Highcountry's peatmoss method. (I'm learning) I'm with you as far as sticking with what I know to achieve the desired effect. Getter' done bob's.

My pond pumps had 1.5" outlets but I reduced em to 3/4" above the "bypass" blowin back into the rez for keepin juice stirred up but.....

As Heathie taught me yrs ago , it was all about having enough head pressure to supply the top level of plantlets constant even flow and pressure to each plantsite , and then everything below on lower levels could be controlled with choke/control valves for the same dialed feed per ........but...

Choke/control/ball valves provide the proper dialed feed per level.....

Trimmin ......Bain of a growers existence.......Never had the balls ta have a machine shipped to Hell , but would`ve liked at least 1........
