I'm doing an aero cloner as I can't stand pissing about with humidity domes and watering rw cubes.

Bobble that was a real good flush you gave them ladies bruh, looking sparkly in there... How's it looking for the 6lbs? USD is a sexy looking girl :) Congratulations on the property, I'm sure you'll be making excellent use of it ;)

Damn bro, just put it down to growing "writers block", I'm sure you'll get back on track very soon. Best thing I've got in the grow room is my aero, I just throw them in there forget about 'em for a week and they root themselves, it makes my life that lil bit easier I love it.

Nice cuts, how ya like that ECSD?

Building the aero cloner today... Gonna use perlite in deep flats as well.

I haven't flowered the ECSD yet, but I like her vigor! My friend that gave her to me spoke very highly of her. I guess she stretches like 3x and yields nice.

thanks for the valued info bobble

and congrats on the sick harvest!

:tiphat:

Thanks... a little too good of a flush... lol... but my buds always burn clean, and that's something I'm proud of. I'm not speculating on weight. You'll know when I know, I promise.

Thought of the day... You can move a mountain, if you cut it up into small enough pieces.

That USD looks a lot like my old Blue Dragon as she finishes, .. Lots of yellow, foxtailing..

Of the four that I have crankin' right now, the USD is the biggest and I expect her to dominate the tent, .. Or at least her 25%. ;)

I'm tellin' you, man, .. That aerocloner is the SHIT. There's a thread here somewhere where a dude builds the same thing I use, with a bigger Tote-style container, with 24 sites.. It's simple dude - just some 1/2" PVC plumbing in a big ol' square, essentially (maybe a row in between the two long ends), with sprayers all over 'em, .. Hooked to a pump.. FSHHHHHHHHHHHHHgoodtogo

No dome, no nothin'.

Hey Bobble,
I would have to second the aerocloner method. I built one and it saved my Sour Diesel clones that were in rockwool, and I even got the flowering Chocolope cuts to root. I didn't use any cloning hormone, or a razor blade, I just used my trimming scissors at a 45 and dropped them in. My buddy that gave me the Chocolope mom couldn't get her to root for shit, 3 weeks in cubes, and nothing...

once again i will say aerocloner

buy the biggest rubbermaid container the smallest hydro pump some neoprene and some PVC and you got yourself a 250+ site cloner that last you forever

nearly all probs in aerocloners are associated with bacteria, but it hard to say whether that is what caused your brown stems bc you had probs with your timer and you are fogging constantly so it could even possibly be overwatering

i honestly wouldnt give up on the fog cloner if it were me

flame me all you want and say i wasting my money but you wont change my mind

we used to think the world was flat and the first guy to say it was round was crazy,

when hydroponics first hit the scene there was probably people who say ' i can get the same thing with pot and soil'

even the first guy to think of vert prob got backlash and now look where we all are

and dont worry about the clone issues it happens to the best of us

The biggest thing about vertical feed loopfields that I found to be most important was to have control valves on each level to control pressure and flow to each plantsite , but you haveta use a large pump with adequate head pressure and put a T above it to blast back into the rez to keep juice stirred up while relieving pressure as a bypass as Heathie calls it to allow each level to be fed exactly the same amount of juice every feed guaranteed.......

I found 1/4" driptubing hooked to "Basket stakes" to be the most failsafe so when juice hit the baskets the feed was dispersed in a 360 degree circle around the sp`s......perfect distribution......

No chance of drippers clogging and since there was no dripclean back then , I settled for open ended drip tubing with basket stakes for added insurance that worked like a charm...........and Bro.....

Never let it be said that 2 lbs per 600 watter is easy cuz it ain`t.....I just learned howta exploit my humidity levels here in Hell that made my bitches thrive like all getout......it ain`t easy bein cheezy......but......

After runs under yer belt , it gets easier as long as yas know where you`re headed.....Set a course and get there.....monocrop and dial every yielding hybrid bitch you can in their own rooms and exploit those whores for every gram yas can squeeze out of em.......then.......

Yields will increase by leaps and bounds once yas learn how big they needta be after end of stretch so they touch side by side , above and below , and create that perfect "wall of nuggage" all the way round the rooms for the gpw`s .......

Cloning.......shit happens.......murdered 1000`s over the yrs.....gotta find what works for you where you live bro....80% humidity and 80 degrees even helped my Chem D`s root just slowly.........

Aerocloners are prone to contamination from bacteria.....stay on top of it and odds increase in your favor......Damping off is the number 1 cut killer ....read up on howta avoid it.....used straight perlite for yrs in solo cups , but clear solo cups with coco worked the best for me with their own lil caps/humidomes.........

Handle it....Freds.....:ying:......

Hey bobble,

Since your growing in coco anyways have you tried rooting in the stuff?

I've had much luck filling up a 72 ct seed cell thingie and using another to pack the coco down tight in each cell. I then soak each clone in dip n gro for a minute - dip in clonex - and then into a tootpick size hole she goes...

Lost a few flats before I realized that the tightly packed coco was the key (for rooting.. I dont pack coco once in my normal pots). I also pinch the coco back around the stem where it enters into the coco...this seems to make a difference for me.

-- then again its all environmental. I used to have 100% success in coco packed cell w/ dome in one location. I then moved and killed hundreds with the same method. I was TOO humid and end up removing the dome in the new location and my success returned.

Another location..I built a bubble cloner tossed in a 50F attic and loaded it up. I had a 50w heater in the res but the clones were exposed to very cold air temps.. they took forever cuz of the temps ..but 3-4 weeks later I had 100% success rate..no loses.

keep on keepin' on..

Bobble: Coco cups dome covered ftw. I've had my share of the cloning issues and it always comes back to this. Temps and humidity has to be stagnant.

A bitch ass to clone Santa Maria - not a single leaf stripped or cut and ready to roll immediatelly:

Prowler ftw......Soak those cups down with plenty holes for drainage and holes in the caps for evaporation from the 80 degree heat and humidity takes care of itself....

The cups dry out accordingly and roots bust out like a mofo guaranteed.....

7- 10 days roots all up in the clear cups IME.......except that whoreass Chem D.........but......just wait on her she`ll take......

Peace....Freds......:ying:....

When you say caps up there are you talking about a humidity dome?

Also have any of you tried Burppe Seed Starting trays like this?

Edit:found the thread on it. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=161782&highlight=burpee

Thanks for the tips dude... I've avoided aero-cloners for a long time.. but I'm gonna give it a go. I'll clean it with bleach between every set of clones if that's what it takes to get clones!

basket stakes.., Thanks bro, I was gonna ask you what it was that you used again... cause after doing things my way for a while... I figured I should try your way. I understand your water system a little better now, having tried out a few variations of my own.

What size was the T the blasted water back into the res? I'm using a separate pump to circulate water when the feed comes on...

I don't have anything flowering right now... so it's time to clean up, and make the necessary modifications... I think I'll be adding trays to the racks, with that egg-crate stuff to keep the pots elevated. I realized I can get the same effect as having the plants hang in mid air, w/o the runoff hitting the floor.

Like you've been telling me... It's all about runs under my belt...

keep on keepin' on..

I normally clone in the same coco/perlite mix I use for everything else... and in the 72 site flats... However I wasn't compressing the medium. It think you could have something there...

Thanks for the advice. I need all the help cloning I can get right now...

yeah man he's talking about using the same clear cup as a humdity dome.

I've never seen that Burppe kit... Thanks for sharing, I'll check it out...

+1 for ECSD perfect for what u need her for no doubt

Yeah bro, I'll fill up one of my rooms with it for sure... There's gonna be some nice ECSD on the regular in a few months...

I've gotta come by and check out the girls... They should be getting big by now, huh?

Thanks for the photo bobble!

She's about to start doin' her thing - tomorrow is day 10. :)

Can't decide - do I throw in two 1-gal smarties/dirt (Strawberry Diesel x Chemdog and another Hindu Kush?), OR another 3.5 gal DWC with a Purple Mr. Nice?!

Sorry to make you touch it twice bobble, but when did you take that USD?

My usual barometer is ~65 days, .. Basically +/- 70 days..

If you do read that thread I posted its Mosca Negra's method, Im about to try it for the first time myself.

Still im bad at starting clones but im getting better. This will keep the perfect moisture content in the medium and humidity for the clones to stay perky and happy.
