Bobble....I`ve gotta say that NOFUKINBODY`S ever explained what I`ve been tryin ta get across ta folks better than me for many yrs till I read that last post.......and yeah....I`m pre-occupied , but still around fer my twisted kids......if they want me around that is.....

Here`s the thing with Coco in a nutshell...If yas can dial how much juice your bitches need during lights on to allow the nutrient uptake through the roots , and the transpiration through the leaves for that dialed kinda shit while lettin rootzone dry out before lights out ? = money..........

What `s happened is you`ve eliminated spiked humidity levels during lights off that`ll fuck up your world come life after stretch when swellage begins , but it`s a learned thing...monocropped thing ta know how much ta feed once or twice daily in late flower depending on container size......

Get yer plants usedta usin up all their juice till lights out where they`ll grow roots like a mofo during lights off AND on for that dialed shit we`ve been talkin bout....

Trust me....I`ll never let my boy`s down.....Ya`ll DO this....Make an old man proud....

Peace...Freds....

You're my inspiration DHF !! Of course we want ya around with your positive attitude and invaluable experience and knowledge! :tiphat

Few quick thoughts;

edit: I must keep silent, only connect with one bro, no traffic to spot, carbon/ozone, low profile, keep day job, etc..

I'm all about using the pump on timer vert/drip with little to no runoff, "dripclean," half coco/perlite in smartpots, GH nutes, tap water (cal-mag on hand), 1-3 light feeds per day with medium semi dry by lights off for maximum sexiness.

I guess black saucers or pond liner to catch possible runoff?

Dehumidifier set at X % for lights off and on?
Same with AC? No Co2...

Could technically not visit for a week or more if res is big enough, 3/4" to 1/4" tubing is easy enough to setup I feel.

Blumats require a rez near the ceiling for vert/coli grows, not trying to do that!

I'm am inebriated, but I would like to replicate your success, help?? haha.

Ps: I may be renting a new 1 bed apt within a few months, 2 tubed/stacked 600's in a 4x4x7 tent for ~75wpsf, or will 400's be better at 500 wpsf?...

:thank you:

have you considered using one bulb for each station on a light mover.
a pulley is positioned over the circle, the socket tied with a thin metal cable through the pulley and on the light mover. It works wonderful, however i messed up as it was my first grow and was never able to dial it in or see any results. i will never get that ahead of myself again.

huh... I like your thinking... It's probably not gonna happen this round since I'm running 3 different strains drinking at different rates... but I guess that's why I have a big-assed dehuey. What I read in your post was that I can save on my electric bill, and nutrients, by feeding my plants just enough... and right now my dehuey is pulling like 5-10gal a day out of the air...

definitely will do several 5 minute drip feeds throughout the first 6 hours of lights on to get on point...

I guess black saucers or pond liner to catch possible runoff?

I have pondliners on the floor. You don't want your plant sitting in runoff. It can cause pH swings...

Dehumidifier set at X % for lights off and on?
Same with AC? No Co2...
My dehuey is in the lung room, currently set to 60%, but once we get past the stretch it will get cut down to 45%. I add humidity where I need it (veg and first 4 weeks of stretch) with an ultrasonic pond fogger. The humidistat is set to 70%.

Could technically not visit for a week or more if res is big enough, 3/4" to 1/4" tubing is easy enough to setup I feel.

I ran 1/2" to 1/4" tubing b/c the 3/4" would require even more pressure to get to the top, and I'm running my lines up and down, not horizontal...

Blumats require a rez near the ceiling for vert/coli grows, not trying to do that!

I'm am inebriated, but I would like to replicate your success, help?? haha.

for vertical you'll need to use shut-off valves to control pressure at each level. I'm using individual mini-inline drippers for each plant, so I can control exactly how much water each plant gets... sorta... lol with 64 plants per pod it's kinda hard to keep on top of all of them... If only I was MONOCROPPING. Today I was driving, and I thought to myself: If I could put my res upstairs, and run a line down to the basement, and have control buckets at every level... THEN blumats would work for vertical.

Ps: I may be renting a new 1 bed apt within a few months, 2 tubed/stacked 600's in a 4x4x7 tent for ~75wpsf, or will 400's be better at 500 wpsf?...

Go with stacked 400's b/c you'll be able to get the plants closer to the lamps w/o heat stress. You only need 50wpsqft, spread those lumens out... 3 400's > 2 600's...

:thank you:

algo mas?

Like I told my buddy Marlo, also using a light-mover in a vert setup... You can move the lamp, but you're only stretching the light out... Not increasing it. If the lamp spends 1/2 it's time in another location, then you just cut your wpsqft in 1/2 for that area. Let's say you're running 75wpsqft like turboblaser was talking about... well then you have a little room to work with.

Check out my 1200w stadium thread in my sig. I used a flip/flop to move my lamps across the tent... It works, but you can only stretch the light so far. I kept my lamps within 12" of each other...

The setup I'm currently running has been proven by Heath Robinson and DHF to yield 6lbs+ from 1800w when monocropped with the right dialed strains... I'm not going to reinvent the wheel, but I would say I've made a few improvements... I'm at 50wpsqft, so moving the lamps around is not an option.

I don't like the idea of a glowing hot pieces of glass floating around my room. Personally I would only use a flip/flop light mover for safety reasons, and I don't have space for additional lamps.

Whatcha think about that? :tiphat:

awww shieet bobble!

I was also thinking about having a 50 gal rez made to look like a kitchen cabinet that runs a line through the floor down to a vert blumat grow! would be fun to see hah

I suppose ill go with 3 400's, make more sense like you said, 4x4 is gonna be tight, with a 6" tube the plants should be able to tough the glass with ample airflow correct?

Hopefully I can find a damn apt with good electric, not some rusted out 1950's 12amp copper bullshit.

As for the drip, yah I meant 1/2" to 1/4" I swear!! haha forgot the sizes, hooked up to a 3-400gph pump allowed me to feed 24 girls under 1200w in a 6x8 space easily.

Now, If I run the 1/2" line into the tent halfway up, and have the 1/4" dripper lines be 3 feet each, I should get pretty even pressure and not have to deal with manifolds and all that correct?

my head is going to explode soon, need to just start growing again...no more military for me, muhaha!!

Personally I would skip the cool tubes... Marlo grows in a tiny space, and he doesn't use them... Polipaja, ojorojo... Skip the cool tube. It robs something like 10% light when it's clean... And I mean you have to keep it clean inside and out so you don't start losing more light. I clean my lamps once a week. There's a tip I've never given. Anyway, just put a muffin fan underneath your stack, on low power... it's all you need.

Yeah if you run a main feed line around the middle of the room you should be good.

Sounds like you've got this covered for the most part bro... And I'm assuming you have a couple buck in the bank if you've been in the military. At least enough to build a nice grow. Can't wait to see it.

i just quickly glanced at both grows you referred to, and honestly they were not what i had in mind. As far as safety is concerned, if you set it up right, there is nothing to worry about. Obviously multiple bulbs are better if controlling heat, start up cost, and electrical bill is not an issue. I would rather have two or three bulbs with mixed spectrum, but its hard here. If you are interested, at rollitup.org, there is a user "Hobbes" that has a 600w on a light mover, for a traditional flat garden getting over 2 grams a watt. He has some literature posted about leaves needing a break, that they can not process all the energy thrown at them for 12 hours. My previous suggestion was more for an experimental idea for you, not to knock what you have going on now.
good luck, ill be checking in on this interesting grow.

No offense taken, so please don't take offense to my disagreeing with you and telling you why I feel my way is better... (not that I can prove it is)

Stress free growth is about consistency. Consistent light, consistent dark, consistent feeds, etc... When these things are out of whack, the plant experiences stress. Think about it, when your daily routine changes, doesn't that piss you off? Even just a little?

The studies you're referring to... You need to read them. They refer to 6hs of consistent direct light, and 6 hours of consistent indirect light... Like an outdoor plant might receive. If you can hit the plant at a different angle, there MIGHT be some little energy factories in those leaves that you and I can't see, that MIGHT be getting light whereas before they were in the shade the whole time... So they will get further development... but at what cost? Robbing Peter to pay Paul.

IME, the plant likes to grow toward the light. You can see the fans adjusting on outdoor plants as the sun moves... If the plants are trying to follow a moving object, they're gonna be pissed off. If someone was dangling my steak back and forth in front of me, boy would I be angry... but I wouldn't be so angry about sitting at another table to eat it. The change of scenery might even be nice.

You do have a point about cost... But nothing in this hobby is cheap. Safety first.

I was dieting for a show in July up until recently... I realized I'm wearing too many hats, and I need to focus more on what's important... Like Pathophysiology.

I'll save the bodybuilding shows for when I'm in my 30's, and my hair has finished falling out, so I can shoot up all I want... lol

Are you one of those guys with no neck all wedge? Here in Santa Cruz I see them all the time back in the day you could tell the roid heads cuz of their zits and tenny ballsz LOL....

Just messin with you Bobble...I'm sure your a clean body builder....I am a body builder also..but I am heading in a different direction than you...more pear shaped and balding.......

Hazes, or any equatorial sativa, naturally grow on a 12/12 schedule, and finish as trees... I've grown a few thai hybrids this way, a seedling put straight into flower... and had them finish as 4' plants. The smoke was shit though, b/c I fed them too strong. EC has to stay low...

Anyway, I figured that should keep us entertained until I get some racks in the other pod...

ha ha... no, definitely not muscle-bound... Mostly natural bodybuilder... And honestly I've achieved the physique I've wanted all these years... So I just have to maintain and conquer the next goal.

ha ha... You know what I'm doing with these equatorial sativas... It'll be a nice bumper crop, but definitely not something I'll be taking mad clones from to find keeper moms... ha ha...

For everyone that posts, I know there's a lot more people lurking... I would like to think that even if they aren't posting, Heath AND Krusty are lurking in the background from time to time... Living vicariously through me. This thread is past 11,000 views... That's all I need to know.

You have a great vacation Freds, and don't be shy about stopping in to say hi. People around here, including myself, value your presence.

We all have to sleep in the bed we make... You have fun this summer. I'll be there soon enough...

My purple skunks had 1 full blown hermaphrodite... so beware whoever I shared these seeds with. It's the only plant in the room showing intersex traits, so it's 100% genetic... Most plants are 100% female and look great! But there was that 1. The plant has been culled, and trimmed up... I figured it would be easiest to show the purple with this one already out of the room... Temps are running 75-78F, so my purple skunk will purple even in warmer temps.
