NAPA coco enhancer:woohoo:

Classic

I bought hydrofarms planting chips (pics in my thread). The first batch was awesome, all big chips, very little stringy coco and pith. However this latest batch was disappointing, smaller chips, lots of pith and stringy coco. Next time I order some i'll be trying vgrove dot com. They sell different sized chips, and freds said they have a consistant product . He did mention they don't do stealth shipping so that might be a consideration. Freds also recommended grodan coco chips ;)

Vgrove.com`s 1 of the biggest North America distributors to nursery and landscape suppliers cuz that`s how I found em through my buddy`s Landscape supply biz.....but....

Bet yer ass it`s some salty shit straight from the beaches in Sri Lanka , and I ordered several pallets of grodan croutons from horticulturesource.com when vgrove`s site went away for a month and I hadta have product.....

Grodan`s were waaay more expensive at the time , but they were washed better and had bigtime less salt/ppm`s/ec content from the get.....but.....
,
They weren`t as consistent as the husks from vgrove , and the minute the site was back up and runnin , I ordered extra every time for insurance......

I think the croutons and vgrove`s husks are comparable in price now , so if yas got a safe addy like my Bro`s landscape supply house , find out the difference in shipping from Canada versus Horticulturesource in the US with the Grodan product....

Texashydroponics is also similar in price depending on shipping costs....

That`s what`ll determine cost efficiency......but again....

Vgrove was my go to for several yrs.....Their shit`s waaaay higher than what I paid way back when , but I guess they got wise to potgrowers.......the bastards.....

Peace....Freds.....:ying:.....

Greeco, this is "FUCK YOU PAY ME." This house is gonna put out one way or the other... I'll be growing in the same house for over 1.5 years when I'm talking about shutting it down. It's in part my own fault, and just bad luck, that I haven't got more out of this location yet... but it's coming. Anyway... Staying in this house any longer is going to raise suspicions with the few neighbors I do have. Maybe not, but it'll raise suspicions in my head and then I'll have paranoid voices in my head... This house will have paid for itself, the next one, and my master's degree before I'm done.

Don't ever get too attached to your grow spot... There's more/better to be had.

Headband @ 6 weeks. In this room I see my first semester's tuition and books.

Hexagon @ 5 weeks... You can see the pistils! This room has bounced back like nothing was ever wrong with it.

Chem D/Straw DD large bush grow @ 1 week. This 1 straw DD on the right wilted and I don't know why. Maybe I looked at her wrong... I've heard of this happening where a large plant just keels over for no reason... Maybe I disturbed the roots or it got sick? IDK! I hope it recovers... :( Anyway, the blumats are doing their job!

I reloaded the octagon with 1 plant per bag except for 2... So that makes for 6 levels x 7 shelves +2 + 1 USD = 45 plants. I left the old feed tubing in place b/c the blumats are still on probation... You can see the bright yellow flexzilla air hose running on the 2nd and 5th shelves. I feed 3 levels off 1 main feed line. The one it's on, and the ones above and below.

On the left of the picture you can see where 3 barbed tee's are right next to each other feeding the bottom 3 bags of a shelf. You can also see how I placed the ceramic cone on a far end of the bag and put the end of the drip tubing in the middle.

A large USD. This one is guaranteed to hit the ceiling. :D

So that's an icmag first right? Vert SOG fed by blumats up and down the wall?

I forgot to mention that 1 wall is strawberry cough, 1 wall is golden goat, 1 wall is headband, and 4 walls are chemd D/straw dd mixed. It's what made it through the heat. The veg room is still pretty full... Lots of cuts. Lots. Even some of the dead cuts had roots, so I know my cuts are rooting...

Now that you've been rocking it for some time, how are you liking the airflow manifold gimmick? With the manifold connected to the large (4"?) PVC with the holes in it..?

You're seriously busy 'round that place - looks great dude. :good:

Fuck ya bob

Thanks D. I'm excited to see what you're gonna come up with.

I feel like it's overbuilt... I think the manifold w/o the tubes, and with dampers would do the job just fine w/o the big tubes sticking out. It is what it is now and it works fine... blowing the cool incoming air gently over the plants, and forcing the heat to stay in the center and get pushed up. I'll probably go ahead and add a fan underneath the stack for good measure. It's pretty hot this summer.

I'm trying to pull this shit-hole together... I mean it's a shit-hole, but it's my shit-hole. Once I get some more cleaning done I'll have the room to tear the rooms up and rebuild them better... For now I don't want to get too far ahead of myself and create more work than I can handle.

Wow.
Interesting grow style.

Thanks... Like I said, I'm trying to pull it together. At least I get points for style... :D

I forgot the batteries for the camera... oops... So I have some crappy cell phone pics this week. It'll have to do. No major disasters. I didn't really do much except for sleeping and observing... rewired a fan so I can push more air through my veg room. Oh, and there was adjusting the blumats... Which just isn't very "set it and forget it"... I haven't lost any plants to failed blumats so far... but DTW doesn't need adjustments. DTW won't work for the octagon w/o a complete redesign... So the blumats have to work. We'll see how they perform the rest of the grow now that I've been opening them up to keep the bags heavier.

1200w chem d/straw dd @ 2 weeks in.

Happy and healthy Chem D

This is the Straw DD that had wilted. It came back to life minus most of it's foliage.
