Looking great bobble. Happy the surgery went well, hope the shoulder heals up good. Looks like at least you will have some good medicine to help you through the recovery process! Keep it green.

Thanks... I'll smoke one for you buddy...

lol... My final numbers aren't gonna be great... I'm growing 7 different bushes in there with 1200w... It's just some extra smoke. :)

humidity is down to 33% lights on... so 45-50% lights off...

Week 4

The new room doesn't look so great... I'm probably only gonna pull 3-4lbs... boo hoo... lol... :biglaugh: Sorry guys, I didn't take any pics of the Straw DD crop. I'm disappointed, b/c I only saw maybe 1 perfectly healthy plant. Most had mite damage from what I can tell. That can explain my nutrient issues as well though. It'll be alright... .75gpw isn't anything to poke a stick at.

Instead of taking pics of the sickly but frosty Straw DD plants, I took pics of the new room I finished. Sometimes K.I.S.S. is better... lol... I had 0 troubles dialing in the water. The 2 gallon pots are suspended in mid air with nothing under them, and there's only maybe a few drips here and there that hit the floor. I'm really excited about this upcoming USD crop.

For the watering system... I use a 1/2" PVC shut-off valve, with 1/2" male adapters. I use thread tape, cause otherwise water leaks everywhere. I wear gloves, cause I'm tired of tearing up my hands and getting blisters tightening this stuff down.

One of those goes on each end of each tube. Each tube goes completely around the room. Turn the lever to face in, so it holds water in the tube.

add tubing and fittings to complete the manifold

Drill a hole at the plant site

Add your barbed fitting and 1/4" tubing... I had barbed tee's with tubing and micro inline shut-off valves already, so that's what I used.
picture.php

Nothin left to do but add plants... 39 USD clones, very healthy, roots just started wrapping... 32 are in the racks, 7 are on the floor. The explosive growth with this plant is like a thai... but with long strawberry diesel spears...

and a word of advice to all of you out of staters coming up to Michigan and trashing your vehicles in multiple car pileups... When you're sliding on the ice, don't hit your brakes, hit the gas, and drive behind the plow truck... I saw like 5-10 multiple car accidents today... 100+ cars off the road. Absolutely insane. Luckily I have 4x4 and drove in the snow lane, got away from the fools hitting their breaks driving on ice...

:yeahthats

Bobble, I see you went back to the pull-the-plant-thru-the-reflectix gimmick this time around.. Any particular reason? Did you feel like you were giving too many lumens away in the other room (without the reflectix rack wrap)?

:respect:

b/c those racks were already built with reflectix in place. ;) I'm handicap right now, gotta do things the easy way... that's what I meant by K.I.S.S. lol... Pretty much everything in that room is recycled or has recycled parts.

With over a million professional miles without accident....I'm gonna disagree. Just take your foot off the fuel...works everytime.

I love ya bobble, n' all ya do for me...but 4x4 is actually a synonym...something about folk that can't drive a regular truck....sorry to hear about the 3-4 pounds...must be a real kick ina nutz lol.

Lol! I agree with taking your foot off the gas... But I'm sure that there has been more than one instance where you have pulled yourself out of a slide with the accelerator... Maybe not in a semi... Lol I'm just saying coming out of the driveway, going downhill sliding sideways... The gas works.

I just applied to my masters degree program. :D I'm super stoked. School is kinda like growing. You got bugs to work out, but if you put in the time, it's worth it in the end... Thanks for the well-wishes. Oddly enough I have full mobility already, but I can't put my arm under stress yet...

Looking good bobble. saw you only feed from the top?, but from both ends it right? Been a real bitch for me to dial in this watering system. Going to try and get some shots up tonight. Keep it green homey, hope the recovery is going well.

yep... If you can pump the water in from the bottom, and have it drain out the bottom, you won't have so much flooding on the bottom level... but elevating the feed manifold above the reservoir isn't really an option... So that won't work. You just have to take your time and play with the levers, starting from the top down. The first time I tried dialing a water system like this it was a complete failure. It just takes a little patience, and enough head pressure. Very small adjustments. It helps to turn the levers a few times and loosen them up a bit before adding water. Also, the 1/2" red valves are a lot easier to work than the 3/4" blue ones. The other water system was made with 3/4" valves, and 3/4" male to 1/2" straight barbed adapters. Worse comes to worse, you get some micro inline shut-off valves too to really dial things in.
