Another update. About to chop the #1, #4 and #6 at about 8-9 weeks (not counting very diligently). NO NANNERS!!!

But unfortunately one small nanner on the #5 which is the one that produces the most.

None on the #2 yet either but this one was a little further behind the others.

I'm about ready to give them another go. I did a little remodel, so they've been chillin in the mean time. Gonna give the vertical donut a shot.
I saved #1 (giant leaved, single cola pheno)
And #3 (smaller, slower, but reeks of blueberry muffins)
#2 was awesome, but a little too hermie for me, so she won't be back.

#1 is the most "single cola"dominant plant I've ever worked with. If I leave it alone, the side branches basically grow a couple of inches and stop. To counter this, I topped once to get 2 main shoots. Then I pulled both down to force the little side branches to take off. It's working pretty good so far. I'll put up some pics when I get a chance.

Very nice Gil! Looking forward to seeing you give them another go! :respect:

How do they smoke - I'm not sure I've seen a smoke report from you - maybe I missed it.

It makes sense to me that the shorter, slower growing plant has the more pronounced blueberry terpene profile...VG's blueberry is a much more sativa dominant plant than the Digi Bx1.

The Digi Bx1 passed on the true thai influenced cannabinoid profile though - which is in part why I really felt this cross could have some real potential without coming out like a sativa / indica type hybrid...

Which is in part again, why I'm curious to hear how you think they smoke... ;)

Sorry about the smoke reports. I'll post my findings soon.
Here are the next candidates:
#1: (she looks nice in hoop earrings!)

#3 (bb muffins)

...and...VGS-fat bubba:

...and here's where it's going to happen. However my current feedback suggests to lose the cooltubes. So I'm in the process of mounting the sockets without them, then it's party time!

The BlueDigiBerry was a big hit this past weekend.
Took her 72 days from pistils to chop. Through the scope
it looked to be about 10-20% amber. 2 weeks cure only, but when the
jar was opened, it was very hard to mistake that smell. Blueberry muffins.
Still a bit sticky to handle, but the overall opinion of her was that she was
a keeper. One of the testers said after a prolonged testing, that he didn't
feel steady on his legs when he first stood up. Got a beautiful flower shot,
but I don't post pics. Lemme know if there is interest in seeing it and I will
send it along to someone who can post it. Next one goes to the chop on
Wednesday if there is enough amber. Wednesday will be day 74. These were
both clones from a single seed mother.

Thanks again VG, DF, and ChiliB.

Of course we want to see pictures!
But if your not comfortable with that it's all good. Maybe you could describe the phenos little?

I did not have multiple phenos, as I only popped a single seed. Took clones, then placed her into Flower and got lucky with a lady. If you search back, you will see that first lady did not fare well. My first time working with the blueberry line. She did not make it to day 40. Had some bud, but very immature and certainly nothing like what she was going to produce if I could make her work in my system. My system = multiple single cola plants on continous grow. Increased pot size about 50%, up-potted day she flipped, and 3 of 4 waterings were only water. The 4th watering I used 20/80 of Maxi-Bloom/Water. She made it to day 72 without incident. She reminded me very much of the 3rd photo, started going purple/black on around 5-6 weeks after flip. More sativa looking leafs rather then the thick fingered indica leafs. She started curling her fan leaves around 8 weeks until the day of chop. Topped once , she has 2 main colas. She grew in a 2L soda bottle. Produced a bit more then 40 grams wet. Just incredible smells, that as of today, do translate through to the vapor. Will look into hosting a photo securely as the bud shot the day of the chop is really beautiful. Even if it was taken with a cellphone.

I'd sure love to see it...

Nice to know that Digi bluebery muffing terpene profile is breaking through for so many folks.

Always loved her smell - the smell in the air after being smoked makes people want to check the oven...hahaha...but that's literally no exaggeration.

I've got a few crosses going for everyone to see.

-1st is - lemon skunk(dna) X blue digiberry f2 (quadrifoliate male)

2nd is - unknown OG X same quad male

This is the father:

This is the lemon skunk mother:

This is the OG mother:

Here's the crosses:
The four on the left are all lemonXberry
Top right is OGXberry
And the bottom right is a fat bubba f2 (unrelated)

Now here is the interesting part. The OGXberry is a quadrifoliate, just like his dad! There was some speculation as to whether the father's condition was genetic or environmental. I really didn't think it was environmental, and now I'm even more convinced it was genetic. This one switched to quad growth at about the fourth node, exactly like the father. This one is the runt of the group however, where as the father was quite vigorous. Several of the other bdb f2s were also kind of small and runty though. So anyway, here it is. Let's hope it's a girl!

My lemon skunk was the most frosty plant I've had yet. The smell was uncontrollable. From a distance, straight skunk. Up close, sweet and sour lemon rind. The smell was so strong while trimming, that it almost made me nauseous!
Unfortunately, it had very stretched out internodes with small dense nugs. No matter how I ran it,I couldn't get tight colas. So I let her go, but not before making way to many seeds!
If VG, or DF want to try a few, hit me up. I'd love to share back the genetics.

Nice Gil, mine was also a pheno with stretched internode lengths and smallish nugs, mine werent very dense though somewhat fluffy but very frosty and smelled like sweet lemon candy of some kind. Unmistakeable lemon candy smell and tasted very good.

Hi Verdant, got a couple clones from bootz, the number 3 and 6. Both were EPIC, the 6 finished strong, huge yield and amazing blueberry taste with muffin undertones to boot! The number 3 was a very weird pheno, super hazy, stretched to hell and gone and hermied round about week 6. Anyway Bootz asked me to let it run even if it hermied which I did. Each banana that showed, shriveled and died within 2 days and not a single seed was found so I can only guess the pollen wasn't viable. Anyway, I let the number 3 run for a full 12 weeks and oh my word it was absolutely delicious! A whole assortment of flavors rolled into one, the sweet blueberry, a decent amount of orange and citrus, a little cherry, a little hazy spice and beautiful mellow stone. Needless to say she was smoked very quickly!
Also managed to grab a few branches of the males that Bootz used in his run and managed to pollinate a cutting of the purple pheno Black cheese, currently have a few of those growing out and they are looking to show some serious promise! Have plans to do a feminized redux of the two keeper Black Cheese and two keeper BDB's. Great breeding man, the proof is definitely in the pudding!!

patgeo, many thanks for weighing in with that report. interesting about pheno 3 - it sounds like it has some things in common with my BB mother, which is also a bit of a riot of sweet smells. Bootz is wise, he maybe had a hunch that the male flowers would be sterile :)

hopefully got more tests of the BDB F2s coming up.
