lol....I was just recently looking at your setup, and dreaming of what I could do with a big light (or two) and a tent! But I really appreciate the kind words!

Quality is very important....and I feel I'm getting better at reading the plants' needs. My main personal issue however is trying to ensure that I always have weed. I'm not convinced that I can achieve that with my limited setup, as producing 1/2oz - 1oz per week seems wildly ambitious, but it's a goal.......One day, things will change.

Re: the stump. I'm not convinced she will do anything either....but I've never tried a reveg before, and all I'm losing is a pot and 16 square inches of veg space. The LST was just so she would fit in the veg cab alright. Gave her a top-dressing of wood ash today, as I thought the pH might be getting a bit low after the first run.

Got some new genetics on route, supposedly.....we shall see.

Things are a bit quiet in the cab at the moment....red stalks everywhere due to this DAMN COLD, which has slowed everything by at least 50%:

Only got 2 confirmed ladies at the moment. A Cali-O x Mexican Sat at day 39 (first pic) and the Spoetnik at day 40 (second pic). My plants put in with no veg usually show sex at about 20 days or so, and these two have both just shown in the last couple of days.

hey blimey you could root prune that reveg plant - just saw off some slices of soil with a bread knife and then put it in a smaller pot with a little fresh soil. supposed to help and means it will take up less space

Hey VG - you know, I was thinking about doing that whole root pruning thing....but I decided that it probably wasn't worth it to go from 1.4L to 1.1L.....and then later on maybe back up again....especially as it was the vertical height of the remaining growth that was causing problems, rather than the footprint of the pot. Also, the medium I have to replace the old soil isn't as good (ran out of perlite, and using hydroleca as a (poor) substitute), so in the end I figured to just leave her be, and see what happens.

Not the end of the world if it doesn't take.....plenty more beans from that pollination yet to go.

Congratulations on winning the 205.....you'll have to step up your smoking regime to keep up with all this extra bud you're growing ! lol

The harvest of the GP12 is history now, in fact I was just this afternoon salvaging the last remnants of anything smokable from various stalks and stems. Once these leaves are gone, it's cold turkey until next harvest time, the next male turns up, or I get a payday.

It was very promising smoke for being taken early. Traditional "sledgehammer to the nut" smoke. But nothing lasts very long in my stash tin lol

Blueberry? Never tried it (or any of DJ's stuff) myself, but it's one I've always wanted to have a go at. Pity the beans are so damned pricy.

Just had a look at newly-rechristened "The Stump"....we have new growth! Very small at the moment....but it's a start. Just by the yellow leaf....

Well, she may poop out on me still....I'm not considering it a fait accompli just yet.

I did leave a few tiny buds on there, but they are lower down (vertically) due to the LST than where the new growth has happened. My hope is that the auxins are doing their thing at the highest available point. It may be nothing, as this is all uncharted territory for me. Whatever way it pans out, I'm learning something......and leaving a record for others of how to do it (if it works) or how not to do it (if it doesn't).

Another 2 girls in the flower cab have showed.....I hope I get one boy to chuck some pollen with.....had a long run of females now (11 in a row, plus one hermaphrodite). Currently 4 ladies with 5 yet to show.

Ah bro dont worry about the beans,if my reveg gets going il give ya mines,got five left and scored 3 females out of the five i popped so not bad i guess!

Gonna take her down in less than 4wks so il keep ya posted.. really eager to see how ur reveg goes along, i've seen two reveg diaries both sucessful so far,havent heard from an attempt that failed but i guess it's always a possibility!
As for unchartered territories,i'l be joining ya ever so soon!

With less than 4 weeks left, I'd be already flexing my scissors and looking at the lower popcorn! But with a CFL, the lower stuff never really blows up like with a HID, so I don't fret about losing huge amounts of yield too much. Still got about 10 nights worth of 3-4 hours buzz out of the popcorn from that big GP12.

I'll keep y'all posted on the reveg. With regard to the roots.....I probably won't do any pruning on the rootball...she's been in that 1.4L pot since she was a bean with a tail....never seen her roots..... Was thinking about up-potting her later (assuming she revegges), but she might just get TOO big....only a couple of inches shy of the ceiling with 1 day veg first time around.

Another girl had showed herself tonight when I turned the light on....flower cab is just about at full capacity at the moment, with 4 plants still to sex, so unless I get a boy or two soon, there's no room for the 4 Litre pot anyway.

Haven't seen a male since September, which was the daddy of the girl I just harvested, and about 2/3rds of the plants currently in flower!

Yeah i figured i got less than 4wks since we're around day 100 now (had a lot of woes around 40-50 days of 12/12 including timer and temp fuckups so growth has been extremely slow but i dunno...

i really dunno since i took a popcorn nug but it didnt really have any trich coverage and the utmost top of it was crispie like...
It didnt get me high or stoned really..probably slightly felt it in the throat as with the non-flush harshness wich was very minimal cus i dried it for a few hours...

Think im gonna go in there now and find a nug covered with trichs!

It's been a long time coming for me and i've ordered myself a loupe-have no idea if my trichs are clear or cloudy..is there anyway i could tell without a 30x scope?
They are definately sticky as hell and i've been getting a few amber hairs recently,while the blueberry isn't really hairy its still putting out new hairs in new growth.

My keeper pheno yesterday started to foxtail up noticeably which was unexpected but i guess i am still to reveg her! Guessing that she is still growing,d'ya suppose my trichs would all be relatively clear still on her? she stands almost 5ft proud with majority production in the upper half,while bud to leaf ratio is relatively low...

Damn this patience is really something,the discipline when you neglect them and now its all pay back in time! also due to my previous neglect i think the potency may have suffered in all three phenos but i really have noway of testing apart from my hopeless popcorn nugs that aint getting me anywhere!

I've heard of people using a pair of binoculars backwards...but can't vouch for it myself. My loupe is just a cheapo 10x from a fishing tackle shop...just about enough to tell the trich colours, but I'll get a 30x when I have the cash.

Without magnification, probably waiting until most or all the pistils have changed colour, the calyces have swollen up, and the plant seems to have stopped growing is your best bet. Taking photos every few days and comparing them is a good guide to seeing when they stop swelling up. I found on my plants that plenty of trichs are cloudy by the stage the bud starts to put on serious weight.

I've also noticed that the plants almost stop drinking when they are nearly done. Like from needing water every two days to every 5 days.....it's really a noticeable change.

And as many people will tell ya (and tell me!)....When you think she's ready....wait another week

You're drying your tester popcorn thoroughly? Damp weed loses most of it's potency, as the stuff on the plant is only a precursor to THC....needs to oxidise or decarboxylate or something to make THC....and burning from wet don't do the trick properly. I've always got some sort of buzz off early popcorn, even when all the pistils were still white....

Of course, I'm no expert at any of this....and don't want to sound like one.....still learning with every plant.....if more experienced peeps want to chime in.....I don't bite.....

Wow that was only 5 days or so before new growth appeared. What did you put the lights to? It must have been the correct amount of time.

Let's see...chopped, LST'ed, fed with veg nutes (1ml of 5-7-7 in 2 litres of tap water) at the start of lights on.....moved to veg cab (4 x20W 2700K CFL) with lights on 24/0 for 1 day. In practice, the plant is about 1 or 2 inches from one of the bulbs.

Switched to 20/4 on next day. Been running at 20/4 since.

3 days later, topdressed with about 2 teaspoons of wood ash, watered in with plain tap water.

Next day...noticed the new growth.

Congrats! Wish my reveg took on my White Satins last round, but alas, it was not meant to be. I had clones of her, but lost them due to stupidity. This time I made sure I had rooted cuttings growing before I flipped to 12/12.

My mums are a bit unwieldy right now, but when I chop the rest of my two girls down tomorrow, I will hack up some clones, and throw the mums in the flower cab w/ lights on 20/4 while the cuttings root. Not sure how I will grow this next round, I'd like to try something different, yet I think I could do better yield-wise with bigger pots on my scrog plants. Ah, decisions decisions. Glad your perpetual is starting to take some shape. Cheers!

Well, I hope she (the stump) takes......this may all yet be a whole lot of hullapalooza over what is just at the moment a very small shoot. I've never done the whole clone thing....will have to give it a try sometime...always something new to have a go at with this hobby!

I seem to recall you posting in VerdantGreen's SCROG thread? His yields from his scrog are most impressive in a reasonably small space, especially as he's running multiple strains at a time. Although I think your tally for this round will be pretty sweet.

The thread that originally got me all fired up about a perpetual SOG was the infamous Dr Bud Greengenes. The yields that guy gets out of small bulbs and soda bottles are just crazy.

It does seem to have taken forever, and it's a little bottle-necked, but the perpetual is finally taking shape. Just need temps to return to normal for this time of year and everything should start to really take off.

Yeah I popped into Verdant's thread cuz I was stalking you. lol. I'm always interested in seeing other people doing their thing especially when their grow styles/strains are similar to mine (or they're growing something on my I wish I could grow that list like Killer Queen). He definitely seems to have his thing down pat.

I'm not sure what to make of my yield yet, although I am definitely pleased, it is very different than my WS grow. The WS had much more stretch, so the screens were lower and the buds were longer, and although the buds were fatter, they were way fluffier due to temps. My temps were running in the 90s into the low 100s on occassion during that grow, and I think they caused the buds to be fluffy. The Sadhu buds are smaller, but they're hard as a ROCK. You can squeeze them hard and they don't give at all. In any event, I'll be set with bud for a while, and I'll be able to make some ISO and probably some edibles with the popcorn.

Yeah, I hear you on the Dr. Bud method, that dude is SICK. I'm just scared to run his plant density numbers. I'll stick to my 2 plant scrog, it's been treating me just right. You really should give the clone thing a go, it's not as hard as it sounds, but it can be tricky. I think it's so awesome that you can set it up with moms and then clones once you find something that suits you well. It shouldn't be that hard to come up with a suitable little cloner that you could push off all the way to one corner of your veg box, out of the direct light.The little perlite/vermiculite cloners have done me right so far, and I'm now trying my hand at a bubbler. You've got it right, there's always something new with this hobby. Cheers!

Im cosy on the sofa waiting on your results now lol because i've the same problem. I wanted to clone her back in veg by chance...read all the relevant info even the og bonsai mums and cuttings ref and then i bottled it...propa flapped the clone job so i switched.

Thing is i couldnt comprehend the space since i needed the rest to flower...but now in hindsight,i think i added to the ages of time,per say by being a newb lol

Well, I was just starting to despair that the whole cab would be some sort of freakish cannabis sorority, with 13 girls on the bounce (plus one ladyboy), when finally tonight the stinkiest plant in there, the Nirvana White Widow showed his true colours and came out for the other team. So he has a glorious future as a stud.

But the low temps have meant that many plants are woefully underdeveloped (flat-chested?) for their age....

Some new genetics have arrived (enormous respect) which I shall be testing for a very kind icmagger, and these could well be the most challenging plants I have yet had...but I don't want to spoil the surprise just yet. I'll just say that one of the seed packets had "Muahahahaha" written on it after the strain name, and that I will probably have to get into training for this project

The reveg is coming along nicely, with new growth out of many places. Enough that I felt confident in trimming off the old stuff (mainly buds) that was overhanging the side of the pot, partly because it was getting to be a real PITA to move stuff about in the veg cab (quite full now with the new genetics in there), and partly to give me something to smoke during the sporting marathon that is SuperBowl 44 tonight.

Temps in the flower cab are a bit better now, and bud growth is returning to the sort of speed I would expect. The Spoetnik is showing signs of extreme frostiness for the amount of bud development. Too lazy tonight to take pics, but will update in the next few days.
