Lovin your grow as always Blaze. I dunno where you came upon this great soil recipe, but it seems to work wonders. Before I go out and get all of the ingredients, I was wondering if there might be a couple more things that I could add to the mix. Tell me what you think about these 3 ingredients and if you think they would benefit the soil recipe:
A humic/fulvic acid complex soil
and/or worm castings.
If I am totally being disrespectful for suggesting that you change an amazing soil mixture I apologize. I just want the best that I can get.

I've spent the last 2 days reading through this thread and I'm amazed at the simplicity of bein able to produce decent bud without all the costly nutrients for sale in the shops. I have three figures worth of Advanced Nutrients on my shelf and I'm left scratching my head as to why I've bothered! (Not to say I haven't yielded 18oz+ for each 600W of hps)
I've noted all of the important measurements for your recommended Mix and I shall be committing myself being a water only grower next year. I would do it sooner but I have many bottles of stuff that I plan to use up rather than throw away.

I know he doesn't let the mix sit around because the N breaks down and it becomes too hot. So maybe if you won't be vegging in the mix you will want to cut back on some of N (blood meal). Some won't matter, but it will affect the green of the plants toward the end - that's where you get your harsh smoke from.

Use half of what you would normally use for your volume of mix, if you notice them too yellow (and you don't like it) when they finish add a little more next round. Worst case will be you have a really yellow plant (leaves) at finish, but that means less N in the buds, and more flavor. N and chemicals are why we flush.
Sorry guys I dont have time to answer any questions at the moment. But I have to stop in and explain whats up. There was a security issue that popped up recently. It forced the room to be broken down and relocated.
The plants are currently in the dark cycle and I have around 12-15 hrs to build the new room for them, Or else well they just wont be getting what they deserve. So for now there will be no updates unless I decide to show some of the aftermath pics and some of the pictures of them currently. Anyways just thought I would let you know at this moment the girls are homeless and left in the dark...

hey man all we can do is hope for the best, do what you got to do.. you know what is worth it and what isn't. if it's cool, a couple of days in the dark wont do much damage..let em run a week late.

Ok guys I got the new room built, Its not quite the quality room I enjoy putting together but it will work, And Eventually I will tear it down and rebuild it properly, However When you have to tear down a complete operation and relocate it and the current flowering plants as well as clones and moms, Then you dont really have time to build the perfect room again you have to get them babies a light tight air tight environment asap, So you can get the co2 levels elevated and the plants back on track asap. This thread will now carry on, Shame all the time that went into the previous room just to have to tear down, Right as it was getting rollin. Oh well whats done is done here is the new room which will do them well for now!
