In Vino Veritas,
Unfortunately for you I believe that you will find that your odds for an all female harvest falls something upon the lines of: 0.8^30 = 0.124%, which I will admit is slightly better than winning the lottery, but if I were you I would prepare to cull a few males :frown:. Sorry but probability can be a real pain for the small time grower. On the up side, your odds for getting at least one female are 1-0.2^30 = 99.999999999999999999892625817600%, so yeah, unless $deity hates you you will get a female :canabis:.

Damn dude glad to see you back! I have my power 75% set up.. Main is run, breakers are set, still need to wire the actual load center, but its already mounted to a board and on the wall...

You sort of misunderstood me. The reason I'm hoping for all females is because I got these seeds from my mother plant of many crops to hermie and pollinate my last crop of ladies. Check out the gallery.. They will either be females or he-she's.. regardless I'm only small time until crop 2 ;)

Be easy partner!

Blaze lets say you where to re-use the soil that you just veg'd/flowered in, would you mix the same amount of amendments into the soil (blood/bone/dolomite/perlite/miraclegrow)? or maybe half everything from the original mix ?
Plus i just re-read all your posts, haven't heard anything about the KfB room.. hows it going ?.... keep up the nice work.

Well I dont re-use because the time it would take to ready the old batch for a new, For me its far cheaper to just buy new then spend the time on the old.

But If I were to re-use I would break it all back down and remove as much of the old roots as I could, Then I would flush it out once allow it to dry out really good for a couple weeks, Then I would add the same ammount of amendments as well as some Sul Po Mag Or greensand like someone mentioned earlier in the thread, This would make up for the lack of k that the miracle grow organic supplied. Now that its been used up it would need a new source of K.

The kfb run will come about all I can say is you will see it when It happens!

If your mother was stressed to produce pollen and you pollinated some healthy females with it then you more then likely will end up with some good fem seeds, anyways good luck with them.

blaze1, always been a fan of your grows. Some impressive shit for sure. One question is what do you do to flush? I see a lot of real green leaves late in flower; do you use any humic during flush?

Chronic is the only strain out of the 10+ strains I have ran that didnt actually use up all/most of the available food source. I even ran it 9 weeks previously and it still remained a deep green at harvest.

Everything else I have ran seems to use up the food and actually yellows off real nice come harvest, Either way I do not do anything for flushing, I feed plain water day 1 to harvest and then give a good dry/cure and havent had a problem yet. The smoke always burns smooth stays light and has nice white ash to it. I dont really think flushing is a big factor with this method, Most strains will use up most of the available nutrients by the time harvest comes about, There are a couple that dont but I havent noticed any problems with the end product so I havent had no real reason to go trying to flush em out or anything.

Here is a good picture showing the leaf color of the current round late in flower you can see how they are starting to yellow off!

blazeoneup, do you think not using any bud nutrients reduces your final yeild, or do you think it would be pretty close? I usually only use plain water 1 week before harvest, but I always go very light through the whole bud cycle. Do you think the way you do it improves taste? Your plants and finished product always looks so good so I am very interested in your method. Thanks in advance and nice buds!

Sup blaze, just wanted to say a few things about your mix. I haven't used it, I haven't prepared it. BUT I wish I had!

I normally use a mix of 2 parts peat, 1 part perlite. Feed with gh, lucas formula. Simple, efficient, hydro-like response. I was back and forth between your method and my usual..so I decided to get adventurous... :\

I decided to make my mix 1 part peat, 1 part perlite, and 1 part vermiculate +lime. What a ****ing pain it is to water this shit! Takes forever to soak, then drains ridiculously fast. I have to leave it bottom feeding for a day so I can not water them for 48hrs. They are 4 week old seedlings in 1gal poly bags. I think the problem is the equal part of vermiculite..

I have about 30 gallons of it left (the 1/1/1 mix). Any way I can salvage it? I was wondering how much organic miracle grow I should add? Anything else medium wise? From there I guess I can figure blood/bone and maybe a little more lime.. I'd be watering with straight tap with some molasses, and MAYBE (depending the response I get in a thread i'm about to open) I'll do manure tea (cow compost).

I went from having available funds to wanting to CMEMORY it OUT.. You know how it is...push comes to shove and I ain't moving. :D

You're on point about the seeds, if it works out I have another 100 of em :D Regardless I'm looking to try new genetics so maybe someone will want a trade or something.. We'll see how they do in the next few weeks.. They look real nice now but the maintenance is a pain!

I'm running 2k, and perpetual after this first go.. I have 26 of em if they do turn out to be all fem I wont be able to start perpetual since they will take up the whole space..

I'm about to go pick up my 3gal poly bags I notice 4x 1gal fit great in a milk crate. I'm wondering if 1 crate per 3gal would be good? Helps me keep things manageable..

Ideas man.. I think you're going to save my ass :D

Wow Blaze, you really have things dialed in. This thread has been a lot of fun to read and follow. Maybe someday I\'ll get right and be able to see results half as good as yours.
