Looking good dude. I had a question about Chronic, how long do you usually take it and whats the average yield on it?

This is the 1st run with chronic in soil, So I cannot answer the question your asking...

nice one blaze .... what light are you using in the flower stage ? and how many ?]

I use 1 1k mh and 1 1k hps on light rails. So 2k total!

I understand that hydro takes less time to finish then soil, so how long do you take them in your DWC.

looking awesome blazeoneup!!

i finally found the pro-mix at a home depot 20 mi from here. not sure why it's the only one that carries it around here, out of dozens!

anyway, i've also found espoma garden lime, which is pelletized dolomitic lime. so i have all the ingredients now :)

now the lime is pelletized... i've read some people recommend to grind it; some people say it doesn't make a difference.

blazeoneup, any opinion on the matter? if i don't grind, should i put the same amount you put in your recipe? i guess i might try side-by-side and see if it makes a difference...

I reccomend smashing them pellets into dust, I wouldnt mix the pellets in with this mix, I would crush em and then mix at the same ratio as I do..

Hey man, no need to PM me back. I've decided to do run your soil mix in 3 gallon bags. Then I'll figure it out next the next run, maybe I'll just stick with just soil.

I had a question:
Whats the dimensions of your room (more specifically, whats the dimensions of your plant area)?

ok blazeoneup.....

first of all, great to see a nice show like this. even when one thinks they have everything wired, and have been cropping for years, it is good to watch, review and learn. and your grow makes a person think.

many questions for you.

1. from the pics, it does not look like you do much or any pruning at all once you have transplanted to the 3 gallon bags? correct, or am I missing it below the canopy?

2. you seem to have staked the plants. are you using yardsticks, and what day of 12/12 did you actually do it?

3. have you ever run 2000k of just HPS instead of the mixed spectrum, and if so, were your results as impressive? because your grow looks good brother.

4. what is the spacing you are using between bags? is this spacing what allows you to not prune at all?

5. finally, how much popcorn do you end up with at the bottom of your plants? the bottom 1/3?

the reason I have all these questions is that I have been running the same rig for years, a scrog with a 400 hps (no mover, no multiple spectrum) and it is always good to optimize your inputs. I have pheno's of Lifesaver, Mother's Finest and Black Domina that are seven years old now....pretty crazy when I think about it like that.

dude, you have skills and you are sharing them. it is great to see shows like back on OG. Tick, IandI and of Course BOG himself all were my inspiration. I am adding you to the list. Because even when you think you have this shit down, you can always learn something new.

best of luck with your legal troubles.

The room is 10'x8'x6&1/2' and the plant area is 8x7 approximatly maybe 8x8...

1. Yeah I trim the bottom 10" its just not visible.

2. Im using these sticks that are shaped like yard sticks but no its not yard sticks, I forget what they are called at the moment. What I do is tape the sticks to the side of the bags and then just tie off to them I do this around week 3 of flower right after stretch before they really pack on any weight, However it was a pain in the but and from now on Im going to start putting tomatoe cages around them right when they get put into the flowering room!

3. Yes I have ran straight hps before and the results were simular, I think the hps produces larger fluffier buds and the mh produces smaller harder nugs, But the mixed spectrum produces larger harder nugs, Sorta the best of both worlds so to say...

4. There is no particular placement, I just arrange them however needed to get the best canopy I can. I prune the bottom 10" but thats it.

5. I usually get a fair ammount of popcorn but really most of the time they are pretty solid little buds not airy stuff.

Thanks for the kind words I appreciate them, Until next time be safe and take care everyone :joint:

I think sunshine mix is a good replacement however if you cant find pro mix you wont find it, Best bet is to buy pete moss mix it with vermiculite and perlite Im not sure on the ratio's though...

Haha vhGhost,

You must have started using the mix, Right after I started the thread before I even got a chance to illustrate what the mix is capable of, Which tells me you put lot of trust into my work and my post made here in this thread. For that I thank you, Things look good little burning going on it appears early on, Perhaps you planted a little early or the strain is slightly touchy. Other then that they look nice and green healthy :) Keep up the good work.

Anyone else using this soil mix and plain water feedings feel free to post your experience with it. Until next time be safe and take care!
