Just wanted to share that I found a spectacular pheno of SAGE from just 2 seeds, fems at that, purchased 2019. Sadly it’s no longer with us, and the pollen didn’t take too well to her; but I did manage to get a handful seeds from the TKNL5Haze, Haze dominant F2 male from AKBB. They’re near the top of the list for next season.

The flower from that sage is very impressive. Grown under LEDS, soil.

Interesting, SAGE was always considered killer weed, but you don't hear about it much nowadays. Waa it a sativa leaning pheno you found ?

It had some stretch, maybe 50%. The colas are as dense as anything I’ve found. Definitely has an ‘up’ high that can put your head in the clouds if overindulged, but is very balanced. It’s a good daily driver.

The smell both in the jar and after a smoke are seriously incredible, as long as terpinolene doesn’t turn you off too much. I’ve had a hard time moving it TBH because it has such a strong smell and flavor that people either aren’t used to or don’t care for. Crazy! It’s phenomenal stuff. It pairs really well with something sour/OG when mixed half n half to balance the sweetness with some savory.

I still have a few from the fem pack left, and I picked up 2 unopened packs of Reg SAGE from a guy that got them before they went to fem only. I hope to start that project in the next couple years. At 3.24% terps and all the good qualities in that one pheno, surely an open pollination will yield something nice. Need. More. Time.

It's sounds a good strain, I would carry on with your project. Are you in the UK? I found I had the same problem shifting things that wasn't the latest American strain. I just waited a while, re-named it and it would move. Being hazey you could sell it as ammo

Nah I’m in OK. Flooded market here. And each his own, but I just don’t believe I’d ever attempt to deceive about what it is. Do unto others and all that.

Hey, Guys so I just went through so many old seeds so getting them to go is something I have been struggling with mixed results I got some 19-year-old seeds to pop but they have been in the fridge all there life except for a trip in the mail from Canada to the Caribbean.
Others that were not as old didn't cooperate, Sandpaper scarify the seeds and Soak them in a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution Good vibes and sincere prayers, and if it's meant to be it will be.
Outside of that advice, I am not sure what else I can give.
The Big Sir is Looking so much better than I remember them back in the day and when I grew to preserve them a couple of times since I got them from Danbo in 2001-2002.
I think its the environment and the fact I am a far more learned organic grower and I have put them in an organic Mix of the nicest soil and fed them Kelp and worm casting and just let them enjoy life.
Every Plant is very Beautiful, Garnet my partner saw one in rough shape when we were in transition and our plants were at the Rasta commune and he dug her into the ground in a spot with amazing Sun and dug her out when we moved she is in a Reveg a bit and wow amazing smell and she must have 30 nice clones ready to take on a 30" plant the secondary leaves are ultra NLD, I think t🧐 his is the first time I am going to really see the Big Sir holy Shine I don't have pics on the laptop I will have to log back on with my phone or if any of you are on my FB page I have lots of pics up .
I am done with all my germination as of today and will plant all the NLD to the fields over the next 2 weeks so the show is on, unfortunately, I don't have the HPLC I have had with me constantly for the past years we will have to settle for gemme-cert as a screening device for what plants I send to the university, but i will share all I can we find the Gemme-cert actually runs 1-3% on the low side but we will have an idea of what we should send over I have been spoiled.
lots of great genetics popping and about 75-80 established moms already , so we have some clones to take and we are off and running.
i think perhaps this will be the most amazing breed of my lifetime we have the most amazing soil and are in the best season of the year in the dryest place in the Caribbean.
seasons Greetings to everyone
Sincerely sending the best from south Jamaica
Bless up way ^^^^ up

I just started a few f2s from the Coastal BSHW version a couple weeks ago. Smell is totally unique and I believe all turned purple. Here's a shot of the original Coastal f1 in the hothouse.

Thats one of the best plants ive seen in a good while representing bsh coming from seed made in the last 5-10 years. ..it looks very close to what I know as zacetas purple....only the zp plants that I know have a bit more golds and some pink tones along with the purple dont finish with that slight dark green in the caylaxes, they finish more pink, gold an purple....and is alot more diet type looking and not so thick...smaller more individual caylaxes an bit more spaced out too between the caylaxes.. and slimmer and slighty more longer looking leaves...I bet more than a few people would try and pass that plant off as zp....let us know how your plants turn out please....ive not read the thread yet but il have a look at what others are finding too....nice plant..thanks

Thanks! Will try to post some pics once I get them going. Veg is very slow with these. I'm hoping I'll find one nice female to clone out and run for head stash. The high on these was fantastic. I would get lost in my own house, short circuiting and forgetting what I'm doing every 20 seconds.

Just to clarify... I'm crossing my SAGE cut because I only have a cut. I have no seeds. If the Big Sur Holy Weed cut I have is as good or better than my SAGE cut, I'll use these seeds to pollinate it, keeping the resulting genetics in the same family (cousins). It is only a matter of time before a cutting is lost by accident or tragedy. Making seeds is a good backup to prevent a total loss. Correction... seeds should be the primary plan. How else can one "tend" a lineage?

Crossing to something like Jamaican ganja or Thai Stick is a great compliment to the Zacatecas Purple lineage. It is Zacatecas Purple that is the source of Big Sur Holy Weed's greatness.

how did your BSHW projects turn out?
