I was going to stop myself from posting Matt Riot is a mental case some time ago I agreed to trade him some seeds I was looking for brothers grim MTF to cross to Kodiak gold I still am for that matter he said he sent a package that we never got he could have checked the tracking # to confirm both Nevil and I had some dealing with this guy until we became aware that he has serious mental issues .
The guy became a overnight troll did not want to listen to reason , I have herd nothing but negative things about him and his genetics .
Anyone that has danbo's version came from me unless I am unaware of another person who Danbo hooked up with Big Sir .
I sure hope Danbo is ok and is free not still locked in a cage , I am not a huge fan of BSHW to be very up front with you its a heritage strain for that reason we preserved it or you would see tons of work done considering how long I have had the strain .
I prefer willie or Love potion or Harmony or even blackseed more than BSHW .
It has a great story and history its potent but there are so many better strains to fill your garden with lol not a great salesman am I ?
Charles

Matt riot is a fuckhead. Ive heard nothing but wack shit about him, his shitty seeds and the way he treats people. I know a couple people who thought his shit looked cool...

Interesting about the big sur man. It sounds like cool stuff tho, worth keeping in exsistance for sure. Even if you saved one or two heritage strains its somerhing to pass on. Man i wasnt around back then, its cool to try weed like that

I love your honest Reef!
Much Love (sorry I was a dick the other day, chronic back pain)

I remember Matt Riott from Skunk Mag forum. Holly shit.
First, I gotta say I feel bad for everyone whom he ripped off of their gear, and that's a lot breeders.
ALL the work he sells is on the backs of other breeders. And yes, he charges a shit ton for F1 polly hybrid x F1 pollyhybrid.
His breeding techniques were listed on Skunk and they are appalling, as evidenced by the many reports of problems encountered by growers/patients.
It's a shame, he was FREELY FREELY FREELY given such amazing genetics in a community that was all about open sharing and he turned around to become a hoarder and a profiteer.

If i had seeds bred by Matt I'd rather eat them for nutrition than try to grow them for medicine and have my entire grow ruined.

Sorry to shit on a member of the community in public but:
1- he ripped off so many generous people
2- he is a troll that tries to ruin reputations of legitimate people
3- patients and growers ought to be aware of the wolves amongst us.

Ok, sorry,
Speaking of Willie Nelson, I only ever hear great reviews. I hope to pick up a couple packs down the road

Hey dude, no need to apologize. It is frustrating to have people like that in the community. They get exposed pretty quickly though. What is really confusing to me is that ndn guy seems to endorse him though.

I recognize you from a few other places and I believe you have an interest in kerala and I think I saw old school skunks? I have a bunch of kerala x skunk #1 if you're interested in a few? I can't remember if they were gifted or freebies or what. but you're welcome to them. Let me know?

cheers

Offering seeds or other cannabis related materials is against the forum rules. Dont post that shit open forum or you could be banned.

Not trying to preach just looking out. Read the terms of use, it will probably save you from getting the hammer...

Yes, I am VERY interested in Kerala. One primary reason is that I believe it to be a foundation to African strains (thanks to migration and trading routes that are thousands of years old)
My interest in Skunk is honestly newfounded. I was given a pack of '78 Skunk IX f2 (really Mendocino Joe's Skunk, kept going by OhSoGreen then given to my buddy who F2'ed it as well as crossing it to Cantaloupe). I say my interst is newfounded because I didnt used to be a Skunk fan, but that was before I smoked a Haze pheno that had me high as fuck for 4 hours. Also, after doing much research on the '78 I recognize its value and am doing my small part to keep the genetics going -- Since I'm a legal patient I feel I have a duty to preserve as many lines as I can for those who can't grow enough numbers to find what strains work for their ailments. Speaking of legal, I just had a long talk with my local Sheriff and he said that WA law doesn't care anymore if a person is medical or not; all that matters is that you're of legal drinking age (21yrs) then you can do whatever you want. I asked, "what about 80 plants?" His response "if you're over 21 it is not our concern. Waahington police will not bother you. You only have to worry about Federal Law" So yea, time for me to get preserving

(I did pop a BSHB f2)

All I can say about my BSHW and its history is that I purchased it from Danbo and carried the history foreword to my customers , I never had a huge number of seeds and Danbo told me that the seeds he sold me were the last of there kind and asked that I save them he was heading to prison , I also got some other seeds from him that were not to great .
The seeds I am selling are directly bred from the seeds sold me from Danbo .
We went through a fair bit of effort to carefully select a great Mother for hybrids and future selection only after open pollination of what we had .
Its my guess that the strain is 70% Sativa
The photo's are the Mother that carries the last generation of seeds .

Hey Reef, this is a shot in the dark, but, curious to know if you have experience with Sensi Star, specifically the Orgre cut, and if you do, do you think it contains BSHW in its make up? One of the supposed lineages of SS contains BSHW, and I found a Super Star (sensi star x sensi star) that shares a lot in appearances with your pics.
Thanks, man. :)

I had no idea Sensi Star was a BSHW hybrid there you go you learn something everyday .
I have been offered cuts of sensi star but was not of interest to me as it seemed like Dutch indica like power plant to me .
Anyone who spent time in Netherlands between 99 -2006 will know what I mean , I smell many strains to this day and people ask me what do you think and I say it smells dutch !
Even the hybrid between Love potion and Dr Atomic's Nl my first comment was you Dutched the Love potion .
I am not critical I have respect for what the Dutch have done for the global community but sensi star to me is a very very Dutch type of Indica .

Awesome, thanks for the answer and honesty reef, appreciate it. :)
And Sensi Star is rumored to be a BSHW hybrid, but also Silver Pearl, Cali-o/Haze/Afghan, etc... Luc/Paradise keep lineage a secret.

Hey man,
Nope, that's not me. I've been interested in the history of cannabis, also. You could very well be on to something with the kerala connection. Do you have any links to research at all?

I've also just recently started looking at skunk. I've always wanted a true breeding skunk and am looking forward to searching through a legendary old school line that has had so much impact on the present scene.

I can't seem to connect, brother. (try LOS umbongo)

I have also heard that SS has BSHW in its lineage, and the ogre sativa leaning pheno is a bshw expression. but nothing concrete enough to make me hunt it down. Although I would like to have a SS keeper cut.

Greetings,

I have been looking for trip weed for the last decade. I stumbled across some 10 years ago, and it reminded me how good weed was back in the day...

So far, the best I have found is SAGE. I grew it 3 or 4 times in the last 4 or 5 years, and I hit the ball out of the park on my last grow. It likes 13 weeks of flowering very much. My patients and testers are doing back flips over it.

This cut is more Sativa looking than any other pictures I have seen posted. Notice how fat the leaflets can get, but they also narrow up dramatically where they come together. The really good news is that I have been fortunate enough to obtain a cut of Big Sur Holy Weed. It looks exactly like my SAGE cut, except slightly skinnier leaves and stems. The internode length is the same, long.

I crossed my SAGE cut to Purple Haze x Thai, and it is even more potent. I think the SAGE is trippier, but the cross is impressing people very much. They keep repeating the same bombastic phrases.

I made another cross of SAGE to an old school Jamaican ganja that has no Indica in it. See seeds above. It is those seeds that will get crossed to the Big Sur Holy Weed cut. Hopefully something will revert back close to the Zacatecas Purple which started all this.

If I can't find a good Thai Stick, this is the next best thing... so far.

If anyone has pictures of their Big Sur Holy Weed cuts, please share. I'll post one when my cutting gets bigger.

have tended all the gear that claims to be............and none come close.........as the original needed no hybridizing to make it better or special..........pure parental sativa genepool that was grown in one of the finest areas one could sow a bean...........

ganj on............

Big Sur tenders in the old gold days know their shit.....:woohoo:Real BSHW was a puff you don't forget and the gear out there now is just a hint of what it was back then....:tiphat:

Just to clarify... I'm crossing my SAGE cut because I only have a cut. I have no seeds. If the Big Sur Holy Weed cut I have is as good or better than my SAGE cut, I'll use these seeds to pollinate it, keeping the resulting genetics in the same family (cousins). It is only a matter of time before a cutting is lost by accident or tragedy. Making seeds is a good backup to prevent a total loss. Correction... seeds should be the primary plan. How else can one "tend" a lineage?

Crossing to something like Jamaican ganja or Thai Stick is a great compliment to the Zacatecas Purple lineage. It is Zacatecas Purple that is the source of Big Sur Holy Weed's greatness.

Hey guys so I have just successfully germinated the original Dando line .
Here in Jamaica I got some really solid females I have not had the opportunity to flower the males yet but they look ok.
I did do some selection over the past years and did some polishing of the strain not as much as others but I have gone through.
Them I actually got 7 really old seeds to germinate it was a surprise I also got some of the original Oregon purple Thai s1 and bb sativa pheno x OPT the Big sir and OPT are 18-19 years old .
1% hydrogen peroxide and love well stored for the most part .
All I can say is thank goodness for my mother in laws fridge haha I have lived all over .
I will put them into fkower over the next months it’s the dry season and I’m on the South Island so very dry .
Coco and Doc D be happy to share some of these with you guys .
Was thinking f1 might be all I was able to save .

Good to see you again, Charles-scott! I was sort of chuckling about how you seem to be such a world traveler! I remember you well, from the old trader days! Good memories.

Well, i had a cross of BSHW(?) that i tested out a seed...was sort of let down, it ended up with none of the best attributes of either of its parents. could be one of those times when the attributes could show up in f2 generation.
